I am nominating for deletion because this is not a thing anybody says, however clever the page creator may think it is. --Pokelova (talk) 22:34, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Update: The page creator has since been banned as a sockpuppet. --Pokelova (talk) 02:07, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete [1] There is literally one result for this on DDG. Roostery123 (talk) 07:19, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom. ■ ∃ Madeline ⇔ ∃ Part of me ; 19:05, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per above. It could refer to any book burning or banning or whatever that people might call a "scholarcaust." That sounds more like an Urban Dictionary word than a plausible search term. Seed of コスモ (alternative account of Sonic678) 20:31, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per above --Lenticel (talk) 01:09, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure everyone knows the drill by now. Another split-off from Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2022 October 19#Three Worlds cycle plot points that is not mentioned at the target. * Pppery * it has begun... 00:18, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Relisting comment: Delete or retarget?
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, Clyde!Franklin! 00:37, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to Fraction per Thryduulf. This seems like a reasonable misspelling (or I guess mis....wording?) of numerator. Similar sounding and similar-ish spelling. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 00:49, 2 November 2022 (UTC) Changing to Delete per Angus below. I didn't even realize it would be closer to "nominator" until they pointed it out. "Numerator" is closer to "numinator" in my opinion, however the difference between "numinator = numerator" and "numinator = nominator" isn't strong enough for me to point to one or the other. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:42, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete unlikely typo for numerator. Might even be even closer to "nominator". AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 12:37, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete It is ambiguous but not common enough for a full disambiguation page. Roostery123 (talk) 07:01, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment I stand by my recommendation to retarget to numerator. While as a typo it is clearly closer to nominator, I can't find any evidence of of that being a common misspelling or typo, however there is plenty of evidence on google of people using this to mean numerator, e.g. [2], [3], [4], [5], [6]. Thryduulf (talk) 13:04, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget per Thryduulf, unless someone can show evidence that this is ever used to mean anything else. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 22:20, 5 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.

Zappeion tram stop[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to List of Athens Tram stops#S16. (non-admin closure) CycloneYoris talk! 22:47, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion requested: unused redirect with no inbound links to the redirect. Target article is now an entry in List of Athens Tram stops#S16 , because the Athens Tram stops have the same level of notability as those of the Blackpool Tramway. Minoa (talk) 00:48, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Minoa: Do you want Zappeion tram stop & Zappio to redirect to List of Athens Tram stops#S16? If yes, there is no need for RfD, a bot will automatically do this in some time, or you can be bold and bypass the redirect the yourself. If you want retargeting or deletion of the redirect, then we can continue the discussion. CX Zoom[he/him] (let's talk • {CX}) 07:32, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies for being unclear. Yes, deletion is requested for both redirects because {{stl}} (via Module:Adjacent stations/Athens Tram) now handles it. --Minoa (talk) 11:01, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget this is unambiguous and something we have content on so there is benefit to redirect and no downsides. Thryduulf (talk) 11:53, 28 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Relisting comment: The target is now a redirect, and a bot may fix the double redirection. This RfD however was a deletion nomination.
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, Jay 💬 20:23, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment. I'm puzzled why this has been relisted given that leaving the bot to fix a double redirect and retargetting per the discussion here would have the same effect. While the nomination was for deletion, that has not received any support. In any case, I stand-by my recommendation. Thryduulf (talk) 11:21, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. Jay 💬 18:23, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not all the high mountains in Oceania are in New Guinea (i. e. Mauna Kea isn’t there). 217.117.125.83 (talk) 17:48, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete: WP:REDYES, the target article states A list of highest mountains of Oceania with the same limitations is almost identical, with the addition of the Hawaiian volcanoes of Mauna Kea (4205 m) and Mauna Loa (4169 m) in 18th and 20th positions., so this is not an appropriate target. TartarTorte 19:35, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete; I've heard Aoraki, or Kosziuscko (however it's spelt) as the tallest mountain in Oceania – and amongst those who believe it lies on New Guinea, there is a split between Jaya and Wilhelm (whether the Indonesian part of New Guinea is part of Oceania is disputed). i.e., this isn't a definite list of the tallest mountains in Oceania by a long shot.
More generally, why do we not have articles for the highest peaks by continent (bar Africa, North America)? It seems a pretty shocking omission, lol. Doesn't seem to be very consistent article-titling here either! Also List of highest mountains of Australasia redirects to this target FTR. J947edits 03:56, 13 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Dr. Hernando B. Perez[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was Delete. The separate redirect Dr. Nani Perez was mentioned here but not tagged and not discussed further so it will need a separate nomination if anyone thinks it should be deleted. Thryduulf (talk) 11:23, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Article does not mention any medical degrees or why the honorific. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 12:30, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Comment @AngusWOOF: I've looked in his FB page and saw that he's Doctor of Laws Honoris causa. I'm not sure if that warrants adding a Dr. honorific. --Lenticel (talk) 14:11, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see any extensive use of Dr. Perez in news articles. It'd be like adding Hon. to every MLA or political representative out there. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 16:45, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Agree Delete. The fact that I have to go to FB just to find a justification tells me that "Dr" is an obscure title at best. --Lenticel (talk) 22:35, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep It is unlikely, but it is not confusing or ambiguous. And redirects are cheap. Roostery123 (talk) 13:43, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom and Lenticel. Obscure and apparently unused title which is not worth keeping. @Roostery123: The "cheap" argument becomes irrelevant when a redirect is potentially confusing and therefore unhelpful for readers. See WP#COSTLY. CycloneYoris talk! 23:47, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don't believe it is a proper use of a project space shortcut to redirect to a user talk page. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:51, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete: Per nom. It's just a shortcut they started using in their signature to link their personal talk page. Hey man im josh (talk) 14:58, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete I only created and started using it because my username is too long and I was trying to shorten how much space it took in source text, after someone raised that complaint to me (I tried to get a username change to a shorter username in order to remedy this issue but apparently that isn't appropriate either). And I guess if that's not allowed then there's nothing to be done about that and I don't care what's done with it. I've removed the link to it from my signature. silviaASH (User:BlankpopsiclesilviaASHs4) (inquire within) 00:05, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy delete under WP:G7. ■ ∃ Madeline ⇔ ∃ Part of me ; 19:08, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak keep: It does seem like from the precedent of Wikipedia:WikiFox at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2022 October 11#Wikipedia:WikiFox that we're not completely against XNR redirects from Wikipedia space to User space. Having said that, if the creator still wants deletion then I wouldn't want their wish to be overridden. TartarTorte 23:15, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I will say with a caveat, that was considered a humorous redirect, but regardless, I don't think it's entirely implausible or necessarily inappropriate for a Wikipedia: redirect to User: TartarTorte 23:15, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per nom. Does not seem to be a term that is used. ■ ∃ Madeline ⇔ ∃ Part of me ; 19:10, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: I think I figured out what “ETS” means, I think it is actually an abbreviation of EnterTainment System. Despite that, it is still an implausible search as “tainment” is not a word, nor is “tertainment”. Pizzaplayer219TalkContribs 01:38, 12 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Hi there, I made this redirect after finding this name on injection molded parts of the computer, and in Japanese design documents. Maybe it is more obscure/technical than I had anticipated. Roll 3d6 (talk) 07:02, 12 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No mention in the article article of a Bobberson at the target article. Some searching hasn't explain why this redirect should point to Clint Black either. The result of the discussion was Refine# to Nintendo Entertainment System#Other markets. Thryduulf (talk) 11:25, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is a version of the system released in India. It is not mentioned in the article and no redirect sources mention it. Pizzaplayer219TalkContribs 14:36, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to Famiclone#India where the Samurai branding is mentioned. Mention of this specific name could be added to that section based on sources like this 1988 India Today article [7]. 61.239.39.90 (talk) 03:47, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Famiclone#India since the system is mentioned in that article.--65.92.162.81 (talk) 19:46, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment The Indian version with this title was Nintendo licensed; Famiclones in India were also called Samurai. However, very few RS exist about the NES in India. This redirect should be kept if it is possible to include more information about the official Indian release in the NES article. Roll 3d6 (talk) 07:35, 12 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ICloud KeyChain[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep. (non-admin closure) CycloneYoris talk! 06:31, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There are two redirects for iCloud Keychain, one titled ICloud Keychain and one titled ICloud KeyChain. I am proposing to delete the one titled ICloud KeyChain as there are no pages that link to it, and Apple refers to it as iCloud Keychain. This won't impact search it would just implement the correct capitalization. Jake01756 🗩 🖉 06:21, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Capitalization differences are WP:CHEAP, especially since "keychain" is a compound word. Steel1943 (talk) 06:52, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep: Different capitalizations are WP:CHEAP. Pizzaplayer219TalkContribs 13:16, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep: It's an appropriate redirect. Incorrect capitalizations happen all the time and, as mentioned, are WP:CHEAP. Hey man im josh (talk) 14:55, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep: ^as above - an appropriate redirect for cheap incorrect capitalisation. Jimthing (talk) 14:57, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per WP:CHEAP and everyone above. Capitalization differences don't really hurt things around here in cases like this, they'll still get readers to their destinations regardless, especially with the first character in Wikipedia's search engine not being as case-sensitive as the rest of the search.
