United States Hosue of Representatives elections in Kentucky, 1932[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was Speedy Delete per WP:G7. (non-admin closure) TartarTorte 02:19, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Created from a typo that seems to be an unlikely search term. While hosue for house isn't that improbable, and United States House of Representatives elections in Kentucky, 1932 is itself pretty unused so a typo version of it is implausible just from the length and typo. TartarTorte 22:17, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • So what's the big deal here? Speedy delete it and move along. —GoldRingChip 00:19, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It's not eligible for WP:R3 because it's been around for too long to be considered recent. As you're the creator and only meaningful contributor to the page, we can try under WP:G7 if you're ok with that? TartarTorte 01:18, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not a plausible typo - both the redirects Dr. Goebbels and Dr. Joseph Goebbels exist, and I have a hard time believing there's anyone out there who can't spell Joseph. Loafiewa (talk) 20:44, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. A Google search with this spelling shows only Wikipedia and its mirrors, and this RfD. This was a one-line article by an IP, that had other spelling errors as well, before being BLARd. Jay 💬 03:25, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sandbox pages in article space[edit]

The result of the discussion was speedy delete. Obvious G6 as created by mistake. JBW (talk) 22:38, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Both of these pages seem to be the result of accidentally moving a sandbox out of user space while not properly setting the title, and then immediately fixed after. Serves no purpose being kept in article space, so can be removed. Aidan9382 (talk) 18:51, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nausicaae redirects[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.

I'm not sure if these Eubot redirects are plausible-the name Nausicaä comes from Greek, which uses a diaeresis rather than an umlaut for that word, indicating that the two As on the end are pronounced separately. I thought I'd bring these four over to RfD to discuss them. Thoughts? Regards, SONIC678 16:44, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. I only see searches for Leucandra nausicaae species, which doesn't have an entry. ä isn't the same as æ. Also not a likely typo as with Nausica. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 04:03, 13 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was keep. (non-admin closure) Clyde!Franklin! 00:22, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I think it makes more sense to target this to Wikipedia:General sanctions/Syrian Civil War and Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, which are the ISIS general sanctions. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 16:43, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Conditional keep for now since I'm not convinced by nom's rationale. There's like three shortcuts already in the proposed target, I don't see how adding another one benefits it. However, if the active editors at WP:GS/SCW&ISIL supports the retarget then I'm fine with that. --Lenticel (talk) 03:04, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per above. I also think the nom's proposal is unnecessary, and one could even argue that it could be viewed by some as some type of propaganda for the terrorist organization (to have a wiki shortcut and all), so I wouldn't recommend retargeting there to be honest. No such list on target article. Also, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of words for hello, which took place in 2010 and resulted in the current WP:BLAR situation. Steel1943 (talk) 17:10, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to Hello, which contains alternative spellings in the "Etymology section", and also has some reasonable alternatives in the "See also" section. BD2412 T 05:37, 6 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with this. A reader would be looking for variations of the word hello, not just general list of greetings. Roostery123 (talk) 05:51, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment An IP editor changed the Mehr Sikri redirect twice so I have reverted the page to its original redirect. You still might want to delete the page but I thought it was better to evaluate what the original page creator intended rather than later editors who changed the target to some other pages. Liz Read! Talk! 02:28, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. In the context of this RfD, both were test edits. Delete the remaining one per Angus below. Jay 💬 03:12, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete original creator wanted it to be a redirect to the word "delicate" but it doesn't seem to be a translation. Searches show the name of an entrepreneur. Not mentioned in any of the actor redirects although the two actors did work on the same show. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 04:13, 13 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
