  • Merge Shicron into Tribe of Judah#Territory and main cities. It's a very small stub but probably has notability based on religious significance, however the only references I can find are from the Tanakh itself (where the mention occurs). The article has been unreferenced since 2008 (woof) and would probably be better with the language incorporated into a larger topic. Kazamzam (talk) 17:17, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
  • Merge: Economic violence into Economic abuse. These are the same concept. The article about economic violence on the English Wikipedia is currently linked to the Catalan article about socio-economic/socioeconomic violence/abuse, which includes economic violence/abuse but is not limited to it. -Yupik (talk) 10:03, 9 October 2023 (UTC)

  • Merge Heidelberg University Faculty of Theology into Heidelberg University#Organization#Faculties. All of the content in the former article is already included in the parent article and a merge is necessary per WP:Overlap. There really isn't a need to actually transfer any text, as it is already in the target article (but with greater detail). All that is needed is a redirect. There was a recent AFD at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Heidelberg University Faculty of Theology which closed as no consensus. I note that the translation tag is misleading as it links to an article about Heidelberg University in the German wiki and has almost nothing to say about the institution's faculty of theology. A discussion thread was made at Talk:Heidelberg University Faculty of Theology#Merge proposal.4meter4 (talk) 18:17, 27 October 2023 (UTC)
    •  Not done Please don't FORUMSHOP an undesired discussion result. Although I would agree with you on the need for a merge in this case, the AfD discussion was just closed yesterday, and merging was one of the considerations in that dialogue. I understand the frustration, and if you feel that strongly about the duplication of content, I'd suggest you give it some time (as there are no deadlines in Wikipedia) and consider another merge request, or, perhaps, a BOLD merge down the line. Best of luck. GenQuest "scribble" 16:17, 28 October 2023 (UTC)
  • Merge: I propose merging Rocky Marciano (film) into the main Rocky Marciano article. The film article is little more than a mirror of the IMDB entry and being singly sourced, does not show SIGCOV. Could easily be turned into a small section of the main article without losing anything valuable. Articles have been tagged and merger discussion has run for a week w/ little participation and no clear consensus. Just Another Cringy Username (talk) 02:56, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
    • Update: sources have been added to film article; however, there is still disagreement as to whether it substantively stands on its own or should be merged into the biographical article. Just Another Cringy Username (talk) 05:21, 5 October 2023 (UTC)

  • Merge: International Association for Energy Economics with Energy economics. The page for this association has been tagged with multiple issues for five years: COI, ADVERT, single source, and lack of multiple sources. The only issue that's been resolved in several years is the removal of copyvio from the Association's official website. Current sources for this article are almost entirely links to this organization, its publications, and its affiliate organizations. The exceptions were to one third party summary of an IAEE publication and to one Archive.org page, which appears to have tried to reference an affiliate IAEE chapter but instead pulls up an unrelated page of old movie posters. Although this organization ought to be notable--it's nearly fifty years old and has legitimate academics on its council--it keeps such a low profile that there doesn't seem to be enough independent third party coverage to rewrite this obvious PR piece into an encyclopedic article. If anyone wants to try, here are the sources I was able to dig up.[1][2] Most of the search engine returns resolved to primary sources or the LinkedIn pages of individuals affiliated with the organization. Since there doesn't seem to be a prospect of a reasonably encyclopedic article about this association itself, propose merging salvageable content into the general topic of Energy economics. Moved discussion to proper talk page / merge discussion section
      • It's been a month with no responses on the article talk page. Thinking of waiting another two weeks and then doing a bold merger if there's still no response. Sounds good? If not then what's your recommendation? TheTortillaBook (talk) 18:49, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
        • Moved to merge discussion. Should consider proceeding BOLDLY sooner than later. GenQuest "scribble" 20:27, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
Thank you for the advice. Hoping for at least a second editor more familiar with the topic. Willing to give this a little more time before moving boldly. TheTortillaBook (talk) 21:43, 4 September 2023 (UTC)

  • Merge SVDK to SVD (rifle). The SVDK is a variant of the SVD chambered of a different calibre. Per WP:Firearms, Variants of a model of a firearm such as folding/telescoping stock variants, target versions, variants chambered in a new caliber, compact/carbine variants, models covered by the same factory-issued users manual generally should not receive their own article. Instead, use a section for the variant in the parent firearm's article or consolidate it into a table or the text. Contents from the SVDK should be merged to the SVD, since the SVD is the parent firearm. JTC22 (talk) 13:08, 28 July 2023 (UTC)

into Pirates Constructible Strategy Game. Several other articles describing the game's expansions have already been merged into the main page, so it makes sense to merge the rest as well to keep things consistent. The other articles have also been described as not being notable enough to stand on their own, so it follows that the ones in the merger request don't either. Capn chris89 (talk) 00:44, 18 July 2023 (UTC)
  • See discussion at Talk:Pirates Constructible Strategy Game#Merge_Proposal:. BOZ (talk) 11:33, 18 July 2023 (UTC)
    • Cmnt: I think a discussion about these expansion sets would be better served at AfD: none have sourcing (just Ext Links), not a one in-line citation is found, and little—if any—notability on their own is indicated. If they aren't merged soon, I think they'll be gone pretty quick. There really isn't any reliably sourced content to merge, and the non-sourced summaries are already in sub-sections of the target article. GenQuest "scribble" 18:48, 27 July 2023 (UTC)

into Tripuri dances, [which] article already contains virtually all of the information anyways, and none of the former have enough documentation to warrant their own articles. Fritzmann (message me) 18:43, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
  • Merge First Macron presidency and Second Macron presidency with Presidency of Emmanuel Macron (currently a redirect). Macron does not have two presidencies. Rather two terms which encompass under a single tenure or presidency. Instead of having two separate pages for two terms, there should be one. Like that of articles about other presidencies, such as articles on American presidencies which for two term presidents have both terms under a single article on their presidency. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 16:17, 9 July 2023 (UTC)
    • Moot: Target gone (now a redirect), There is nothing to merge to. GenQuest "scribble" 07:19, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
      • Reinstated request now requires move, merge, redirect scope change. GenQuest "scribble" 15:35, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
  • Merge: Transsexual (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) (B; 91.8k) into Transgender (B; 195K). It is proposed these two terms be merged, with the argument that the term transexual is outdated, inaccurate, and offensive., and furthermore, that the Transsexual page should be a subsection of the Transgender page. Historyday01 (talk) 13:26, 11 June 2023 (UTC)

I would like to withdrawal this request at the present time. Historyday01 (talk) 13:25, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
  • Merge Ritual into Ceremony Both articles outline similarities and do not substantially describe differences. The article on Ceremony tends to focus more on civil/secular activities while actively drawing parallels to religious versions of the same actions. Both articles share similar structural sections, though the versions in the Ritual article are generally much more developed. Darker Dreams (talk) 12:12, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
  • Merge Violetta (season 1) into List of Violetta episodes. If only one season of a TV series (and I'm not just talking about telenovelas) gets its own article, what's the point? 100.7.44.80 (talk) 18:01, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
    •  Not done There are three seasons of 80 episode each, so it is totally appropriate for stand-alone episode articles for each. Just waiting for seasons 2 and 3 articles to be written by someone who cares. No merge. GenQuest "scribble" 06:58, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
  • Merge Androtomy into the history section of the Dissection article. The Androtomy article simply consists of a dictionary definition of the word and a paragraph of information that is basically already covered on the dissection page. The Androtomy page even states it is simply a word for human dissection. Down time (talk) 15:40, 8 June 2023 (UTC)
  • Merge Skunks as pets into the main article on Skunks, after removing the main portion that read as a guide it seems to me that there is (primarily) two relevant portions of this article that fall within Wikipedia's scope: History, Temperament, legality, and perhaps portions of the politics section. All of this should be merged into the "relations with humans" section on the Skunk article. Alexcs114 :) 01:42, 9 June 2023 (UTC)
    • Articles tagged and merger discussion underway at talk:Skunk#merge proposal. Felix QW (talk) 08:43, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
      •  Not done. No discussion on stale proposal regarding the merging of the article(s). Proposer, @Alexcs114: may want to consider a BOLD merge.

... into Spy Kids. The characters' articles are almost all plot, have very few sources, and lack the content notable fictional character articles need like ratings, receptions, cultural impact, etc. 2603:7000:26F0:74B0:7D75:BD72:E6CE:715E (talk) 20:02, 3 April 2023 (UTC)

  • Merge: incels.is into incel. This is procedural, based on a just recently closed AfD (see page). The AfD closed with a consensus to merge, but since this consensus, I have increased the incels.is a lot in sourcing and content though, so maybe a merge is now not necessary. I am still posting the request here, de jure, per WP:PM since both articles are large and one is GA class. (I am post this just to get the articles tagged, because as a logged-out IP, I cannot tag the second one). 2001:48F8:3004:FC4:48EA:35CE:A536:B342 (talk) 20:16, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
    •  Working For merges resulting from an AfD outcome, the Proposed mergers process is considered unnecessary, and no further tagging is required. I suggets giving the closer and discussion participants around two weeks to implement the merge themselves since they are in a better place to evaluate the consensus than someone previously completely uninvolved. Felix QW (talk) 10:32, 11 June 2023 (UTC)

Merge Living torpedoes into Human Torpedo. This Merge was first proposed in 2013, and has always been supported by users. "Living torpedoes" focuses on an aspect of WWII Polish resistance, an instance of the wider phenomenon. 192.77.12.11 (talk) 03:39, 2 April 2023 (UTC)

Please don't re-open 10 year old merge requests. Form a new one with a current date. GenQuest "scribble" 18:40, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
Okay, I've updated the Human Torpedo talk page with a modern Proposal. Would you like me to reopen my request here, or leave it as is? 192.77.12.11 (talk) 02:04, 3 April 2023 (UTC)

  • Merge Masters M50 800 metres world record progression should be merged with the main article 800 metres world record progression – there is no need to have tiny separate articles for each age and/or sex class. This is a renewed request, because the two articles were not properly merged: the first one was simply turned into a redirect that was reverted afterwards, thus cancelling the "merging". The two should be merged for real, including their histories. Thank you 176.128.237.169 (talk) 03:01, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
The issue was not the fact that the merger was not properly implemented, but rather that there is an entire Category:Masters athletics world record progressions. Therefore it was felt that merging a single page into 800 metres world record progression did not make much sense. Felix QW (talk) 19:49, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
@Felix QW: I didn't see this whole category, obviously it would make no sense to merge a single article. But there's still the same problem: a huge collection of hardly developable tiny articles that could be gathered into fewer larger articles – I do not say only one of course, but some merging could be made, for example all age and/or sex categories for each discipline in one article. 176.159.12.72 (talk) 13:59, 31 March 2023 (UTC)

  • Merge Manchester City Region into Greater Manchester. They is no statutory body called Manchester City Region, the mayoral combined authority and local enterprise partnership are both named Greater Manchester which is the same name as the county. The LEP may have once been called the Manchester City Region LEP or a predecessor to the MCA, similar to South Yorkshire LEP, this is no longer the case. Leeds LEP and Liverpool LEP+MCA are the only ones I think continue to use the term city region in their names. — Preceding unsigned comment added by User:Chocolateediter (talkcontribs) 10:27, December 8, 2022 (UTC)
  • Merge The Legend of Zelda (TV series) into The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!. To explain to why, first I must describe the format of the show. The Super Mario Bros. Super Show consisted of 65 episodes. Each episode started and ended with a live-action Mario segment, split into two halves between which was an animated segment. For 52 episodes, this was an episode of The Super Mario Bros., and for the remaining 13 episodes it was an episode of The Legend of Zelda. It does not make sense to treat the latter segment as its own series when it was produced and broadcast as part of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show, especially not when the other segment is not treated as a separate series. This arbitary split has led to nonsense like The Super Mario Bros. Super Show being listed as having only 52 episodes, and having 13 of its live-action segments be listed on the Zelda page.--Eldomtom2 (talk) 19:40, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
