August 2022[edit]

  1. Azeem Sarwar (broadcaster): nominated at AfD; notified Nooruddin2020 (talk · contribs) 07:05, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Want to send this article to draft, current policy does not allow for articles to be sent to draft if they are over 90 days old. Article needs some serious cleaning up. I had some difficulty finding sources but I only checked in English not Urdu. The topic sounds like it could pass GNG with some additional sources.
  2. Elijah Long: nominated at AfD; notified Gathunuku (talk · contribs) 00:23, 19 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:NBIO. Is well referenced but the subject of the article has not won or been nominated for a major award, has not played a major role in creating a notable work. Executive producer is not the same as a director or producer. This is the second time this article is being nominated for deletion.
  3. Union councils of Pakistan: nominated at AfD; notified StMarian (talk · contribs) 19:38, 20 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Article has numerous problems and has had them for years. Large tables are just copied from a government pdf. The article doesn't have a real introduction and it needs more sources to ensure WP:GNG. Attempted to PROD but it was removed. There appears to be two editors interested in this topic and cleaning up this article Pakieditor and Vice regent alt. Instead of deleting this should be sent to draft. Normally I would just send it there but there is a policy about sending articles to draft that are 90+ days old.
  4. Marina Persson: nominated at AfD; notified Dwanyewest (talk · contribs) 08:29, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
  5. Beast of Bevendean: nominated at AfD; notified Lamb Ham Jam Man (talk · contribs) 09:59, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Redirect to British big cats. Current article has five sources but they are all from the same local news paper. Searched Google, Google Scholar, and Google News, majority of sources for this are about the movie Young Hunters: The Beast of Bevendean, a handful of articles from the same news paper, and one Ukrainian journal article that lists it as a mythozoonyms (has a proper name but does not exist). Redirect to British big cats is the right call for this article as it's material will fit in better there and be able to be seen in context.
  6. Charles Quaker-Dokubo: nominated at AfD; notified Hackesan (talk · contribs) 05:09, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Subject is not notable, fails WP:GNG and WP:PROF. Most sources are only passing mentions, the two sources that give the most support are a transcript of an interview and one about his recent death.
  7. Mohammad Al Subail: nominated at AfD; notified Ainty Painty (talk · contribs) 23:08, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Subject does not pass WP:GNG or WP:SNG. Sources are all notices of his death. Only assertions of notability are surviving a terrorist attack, serving on religious committees, had a handful of famous students.
  8. Sugandh: nominated at AfD; notified Abbasulu (talk · contribs) 00:20, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG and WP:NFILM. Sources are mostly just listings in databases.
  9. Sumbandh: nominated at AfD; notified Abbasulu (talk · contribs) 00:21, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG and WP:NFILM. Sources are mostly just listings in databases.
  10. Sweety (film): nominated at AfD; notified Abbasulu (talk · contribs) 00:21, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG and WP:NFILM. Sources are mostly just listings in databases.
  11. Kanch Ki Gudiya: nominated at AfD; notified Abbasulu (talk · contribs) 00:22, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG and WP:NFILM. Sources are mostly just listings in databases.
  12. Waqt Ke Shehzade: nominated at AfD; notified Abbasulu (talk · contribs) 00:23, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG and WP:NFILM. Sources are mostly just listings in databases.
  13. Daasi (1981 film): nominated at AfD; notified Abbasulu (talk · contribs) 00:24, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG and WP:NFILM. Sources are mostly just listings in databases.
  14. Ek Aur Ek Gyarah (1981 film): nominated at AfD; notified Abbasulu (talk · contribs) 00:24, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG and WP:NFILM. Sources are mostly just listings in databases.
  15. Ganga Mang Rahi Balidan: nominated at AfD; notified Abbasulu (talk · contribs) 00:24, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG and WP:NFILM. Sources are mostly just listings in databases.
  16. Saajan Ki Saheli: nominated at AfD; notified Abbasulu (talk · contribs) 00:25, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG and WP:NFILM. Sources are mostly just listings in databases.
  17. The Book About My Idle Plot on a Vague Anxiety: nominated at AfD; notified Popdeeps (talk · contribs) 04:52, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
  18. Vaishnavi Patil: nominated at AfD; notified BeeZee333 (talk · contribs) 05:04, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG and WP:ARTIST. Sources are not reliable or are just passing in mention. Page is not complete.
  19. Betiyaan Apni Yaa Paraaya Dhan: nominated at AfD; notified Marjina1972 (talk · contribs) 05:12, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG and WP:SNG, only references cite the show ending but nothing else. Was unable to find reviews but maybe I missed them or they might not be in English.
  20. Sonya Kelly: nominated at AfD; notified Aineireland (talk · contribs) 05:20, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG and WP:SNG. No mention of notability, just a list of some plays. This has previously been deleted.
  21. Himachal State Museum: nominated at AfD; notified Itsrahulkashyap (talk · contribs) 01:00, 29 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG and WP:SNG, article only has one source and that's the official museum website. Would have sent this to draft but can't due to a rule on sending articles to draft if they are more than 90 days old.
  22. Kathleen Murphy (Illinois politician): nominated at AfD; notified DailyJew (talk · contribs) 05:11, 30 August 2022 (UTC)

September 2022[edit]

  1. Milind Mulick: nominated at AfD; notified Aman Zaidi (talk · contribs) 06:49, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:ARTIST, not notable enough to pass SNG.
  2. Aminu Abdullahi Sumaila: nominated at AfD; notified Alaminalpha (talk · contribs) 03:20, 3 September 2022 (UTC)
  3. Abdul Awwal Jaunpuri: nominated at AfD; notified Jaunpurzada (talk · contribs) 03:28, 3 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:ANYBIO and WP:AUTHOR. Sources are another encyclopedia and a general history books on islam.
  4. John H. Hughes (academic): nominated at AfD; notified Arie Ripand (talk · contribs) 04:49, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:NACADEMIC. Search does not bring up notable awards or accomplishments.
  5. Kyun Na Aaye: nominated at AfD; notified Sams321 (talk · contribs) 09:50, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
  6. Cai Haoyu: nominated at AfD; notified Qdjuncheng (talk · contribs) 09:53, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
  7. Aashiqui 3: nominated at AfD; notified Mr. Smart LION (talk · contribs) 06:44, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:NFILM, does not have categories, claims to be in development but does not mention if the film has been shot yet.
  8. Bettina Eick: nominated at AfD; notified Minndietz (talk · contribs) 06:46, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
  9. Fabrizio Caramagna: nominated at AfD; notified Vind Grizzly (talk · contribs) 06:51, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
  10. Last Rites/Loved to Death: nominated at AfD; notified BoxxyBoy (talk · contribs) 04:07, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:NSONG, ranking is not Billboard ranking but just some websites ranking
  11. Prince of Dai (Ming dynasty): nominated at AfD; notified Deidonata (talk · contribs) 20:12, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Article is mostly a list of people who held the title while there is an entire article on this same topic see Prince of Dai. Merging the two articles would be the best use of resources.
  12. Maharani Kishori: nominated at AfD; notified LRBurdak (talk · contribs) 23:32, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:NBASIC, isn't notable as they're the wife of someone who was a ruler.
  13. Red Grant (comedian): nominated at AfD; notified AfroWorld33 (talk · contribs) 00:00, 20 September 2022 (UTC)
  14. Los Beat 4: nominated at AfD; notified AntonioMartin (talk · contribs) 00:04, 20 September 2022 (UTC)
  15. Akinola Pedro: nominated at AfD; notified 2603:8000:B600:15A:C537:73CB:F928:3CFD (talk · contribs) 19:44, 22 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:SINGER. They might pass part 10 of WP:SINGER but it's a pretty weak case. Searched Google and wasn't able to find new information but this isn't my area of expertise so if someone can point me a better direction add it as a comment and I'll go looking for it.
  16. Clean Up: nominated at AfD; notified 67.185.44.158 (talk · contribs) 06:05, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:NFILM, lacks sources, lacks categories.
  17. Mary Ridge: nominated at AfD; notified Litefoot (talk · contribs) 20:07, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:DIRECTOR, was unable to find sources for her other than an obituary and a fan blog. IMDB doesn't list any awards and only credits her for some episodes of a few british TV shows. Checked Google, Google News, and the newspaper archive and wasn't able to find anything about her that wasn't just passing comments or about her death. This article was PROD but it was contested so it is now being sent here.
  18. Erik Doxtader: nominated at AfD; notified Proust1992 (talk · contribs) 20:22, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:NBIO and WP:NPROF, Google search did not bring up articles, has 120 citations in Scopus (note that WP:NPROF says to use Scopus or Web of Science and not Google SCholar), has not won a major award, is not a member of an elected society, research does not show major impact in the field, is not a distinguished professor or holds a named chair. Article reads more like a CV than an article.
  19. Azerbaijan dictator: nominated at RfD; Target: Ilham Aliyev (notified); notified Buidhe (talk · contribs) 00:43, 26 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: I just want to make sure that this is an alright redirect. I know we have some strict rules about articles dealing with living people. The article has multiple sources that back up this claim and I would normally agree that this is correct. If it's clear that I'm wrong I'll withdraw the nomination as a speedy keep, only submitted it because it deals with a living person.
  20. Padé (DJ): nominated at AfD; notified Gmafia (talk · contribs) 01:37, 27 September 2022 (UTC)
  21. Kevin Samuels: nominated at AfD; notified Acekard (talk · contribs) 05:31, 29 September 2022 (UTC)
  22. Alexander Kunitsyn: nominated at AfD; notified WisteriaF (talk · contribs) 07:47, 29 September 2022 (UTC)
  23. JiDion: nominated at AfD; notified Youngwalid (talk · contribs) 02:37, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:NBIO, not notable. Hasn't won any major awards, all he's known for is harassment and haircuts.

October 2022[edit]

  1. Tanushree Chatterjee: nominated at AfD; notified Noah Nil (talk · contribs) 21:34, 1 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable film actress, fails WP:NACTOR. Was nominated for deletion previously and the decision was to delete. Sources are trivial and passing mentions.
  2. The Society (1968 film): nominated at AfD; notified Johan Burati (talk · contribs) 08:16, 4 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Article fails WP:NFILM and does not have any references.
  3. Hamid Nematiyan: nominated at AfD; notified Novinmirzaei (talk · contribs) 22:54, 4 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:ATHLETE, only one of the sources had in-depth coverage the rest are short or just passing mentions. Many of the links to cited sources return a 404 error.
  4. Bloody Elbow: nominated at AfD; notified Timob85 (talk · contribs) 04:21, 7 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:SIGCOV and WP:RS, mentions in sources are in passing or are from it's own website. Was unable to find anything sources that independently cover this website.
  5. Saravanan Arul: nominated at AfD; notified Dheena.official (talk · contribs) 19:33, 8 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:FILM and WP:NBUSINESSPERSON. Coverage is almost all trivial and small. All of the sources in the article just talk about a film he funded and stared in. Reviewed all the sources and almost all of them are short passing mentions of his film or him being made fun of online.

  1. Bincheng Mao: nominated at AfD; notified Bobhowards (talk · contribs) 02:53, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:NBASIC, there is passing coverage of Mao but nothing about him directly. He is often tied to his nonprofit and there is coverage of that nonprofit but there isn't much about him other than he shows up to things or gets a passing mention in articles. Sources include being in a Top 100 list from Forbes but that doesn't pass WP:SIGCOV. He is also known for being awarded money from the Clinton Foundation for his nonprofit but all mentions of it are passing or are just a list of award winners. Article claims Mao is a contributor for the Chicago Tribune and the Orlando Sentinel but he wrote commentaries so would not pass WP:JOURNALIST. Nonprofit also fails Wikipedia:NCHARITY, it is there but there isn't much coverage attached to it outside of one or two minor events and being listed on all of Maos profiles.

Searched newspapers.com and there are a few trivial mentions of this person: 3 ads for workshops they hosted, 2 reviews of a CD her band put out, and 1 review of a music festival that mentions she will be there but she is not the focus of the article. I was only able to find this with her name Kate Crossan as her stage name returned nothing. 6. Shiraz Ali Khan: nominated at AfD; notified Iamsilax (talk · contribs) 23:05, 7 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Sent this to AfD because a PROD on this article was opposed. Artist fails WP:MUSICBIO. The subject of this article is only really mentioned for playing at one music festival, does not have an album on a national music chart or a certified gold album (I admit that's a hard bar to cross for classical music), does not have coverage for a national tour only for the one music festival, has not won or been nominated for a major music award, has not won a major music competition.
The closest source that I found while searching the news archives was he played with his uncle who was a Grammy nominee. I don't think that really satisfies WP:MUSICBIO but I could be wrong. The article was in Gulf News and it's reliability has been questioned before on WP:RSN.
I copyedited the article and removed some other sources that were included, one was from the Hindu and was very similar to the Asian Age article, another was a recording of his music on the Internet Archive, and the other was from the Gulf News and was only a passing mention.

I'm willing to withdraw this nomination if the article is improved to include at least two sources. Normally this kind of behavior at AfD isn't appropriate. We never hold articles hostage to improve them. But when it comes to living people we have a higher standard which includes citing sources for out claims.
