All random XY redirects for people slightly associated with an organization. All nominated redirects are unused and created by the same user who has since been banned from article and redirect creations. Yosemiter (talk) 22:33, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete all per nom; all subjects have had limited mention in their respective targets. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 22:38, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete: per above; said it all already. Ravenswing 23:16, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. See also discussion on Aqua Marina (album). This is a redirect of a purportedly upcoming album to the artist's page, but this is not the confirmed name of the album. It is only a rumoured name by a handful of Twitter users who are not connected to the artist. F, root (talk) 22:15, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Cancelled event, as described here. R with possibilities does not apply if no notability can be established. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 01:41, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the cancellation was considered notable by furry news sources Flayrah and Dogpatch Press. Pity, as it was a good event, and as suggested, the largest outdoor furry convention (and one of the longest-running). Doubt they sought other media coverage, though, especially in Oklahoma. Incidentally WikiFur is available as a wikilink (WikiFur:), which keeps readers secure. GreenReaper (talk) 20:20, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
While covered by primary sources, true, I do not know of any outside sources, for example The Oklahoman in this case, that covered either the con or its cancellation. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 19:55, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete Fred Patten's book lists 3 events for All Fur Fun from 2007-2009, but attendance ranges from 110-197. [1] so this is not notable. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:16, 10 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete the phrase has also been used for the University of Pennsylvania's anthropology department annual undergrad research confererence [2]. Has also been used to describe other anthropology events such as [3] and [4] [5] So the furry conventions with the name have about the same kind of visibility. Fred Patten's book on furry conventions list 2 events (Anthrofest 2006 and Anthofest 2007) with attendance of about 100 and 111 people respectively, so this isn't a notable convention. • Delete Fred Patten's book on Furry Conventions has an entry for C-ACE from 2002 to 2007 [7] but the attendance for this ranges from 110-227 people, so this is not a notable convention. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:08, 10 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Augie DiMarzo[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.

Delete as an implausible redirect for a hockey player per XY. It only mentions that Quick once played with DiMarzo> Why would anyone searching for DiMarzo think an article about Quick is a logical connection? Yosemiter (talk) 21:47, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom; redirect was created by a user who has since been banned from creation and no other suitable target can be found. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 22:41, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Chad Niddery[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. -- Tavix (talk) 18:41, 13 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Delete as an usused and useless redirect. Hard to find what they point to (they are mentioned in a list) that seems implausible as a search item. Both have gone on to play for other teams for which they could also redirect but are not considered notable. Yosemiter (talk) 20:27, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete both: Both were created by an editor subsequently placed under a community ban from creating new redirects after making *hundreds* of implausible ones to bump up his new page creation count. Failures of XY are typical of them, with these two illustrating his standard of redirecting NN obscure hockey players to only one of several targets. For instance, Niddery played four seasons for the Powell River Kings (only one reflected in the redirect) and four for Ohio State University, while McGowan played two for the Surrey Eagles, four for the Rochester Institute of Technology hockey team and briefly for two other amateur teams. Ravenswing 20:58, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete both per above; said it all already. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 04:55, 4 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete both per WP:XY. -DJSasso (talk) 18:01, 4 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned in target; artist no longer releases on the label and has no hint of notability per WP:GNG and WP:MUSICBIO. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 19:36, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ambiguous redirect; current redirect refers to an artist that released on the label in the past and is no longer mentioned in the target. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 19:35, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was keep. (non-admin closure) feminist 10:31, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Delete; consensus was reached to fold List of products discontinued by Apple Inc. into Timeline of Apple Inc. products on the basis that the two articles contained broadly the same information. Consequently we no longer need these redirects. Warren -talk- 04:38, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. It's pretty easy to find which products have been discontinued by Apple at the current target, both in the Timeline and in the "Discontinued" column of the Text Timeline. ---- Patar knight - chat/contributions 20:24, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • Sure, but that's not the point of this deletion. Nothing links to these really lengthy names and users are extremely unlikely to type them into the search box. Putting aside the fact that redirects aren't supposed to be for SEO purposes, if you Google for "discontinued Apple products", the #1 search result (List of products discontinued by Apple Inc.) redirects to the #2 search result (Timeline of Apple Inc. products). No useful purpose is served by this. Warren -talk- 21:01, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per WP:MAD since the current situation is the result of a merge. -- Tavix (talk) 21:14, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
