Not a likely search term — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:da8:201:3516:c9f:2db5:5ed0:3d29 (talkcontribs) 10:52, 24 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment He was a writer and editor at South China Morning Post and wrote a book called The Chinaman, so this might have been his Chinese name there. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:32, 24 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Chinese Wikipedia [1] gives this as his Chinese name, and he was an contributor to a Hong Kong newspaper. ---- Patar knight - chat/contributions 19:22, 24 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete WP:FORRED. He writes solely in English; the South China Morning Post is an English-language newspaper, and all his books are in English. The fact that he doesn't even have a real Chinese given name, just this transcription into Chinese characters of his English name which isn't even mentioned at the target (and probably should not be), demonstrates the principle: it is unlikely that English Wikipedia readers would search for this name. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 07:21, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see evidence that Stephen Paddock is known as "Craig". According to my results, Craig Paddock is an authority in the SEO field (and seems to be good at his job since I found him...) -- Tavix (talk) 17:06, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Jax 0677: Do you have evidence that Stephen Paddock is known as "Craig Paddock"? -- Tavix (talk) 17:57, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Jax 0677: Well, it looks like this redirect is going to be deleted then. Cheap is a cheap argument. -- Tavix (talk) 15:51, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Not a common name for the shooter. I certainly wouldn't want to be Craig Paddock and have such associations implied. --BDD (talk) 17:54, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per BDD and our BLP policy. This redirect could be really harmful to Mr. Craig Paddock. — Mr. Guye (talk) (contribs)  02:56, 5 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom. Not referred to by middle and last name. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:39, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Seems obviously not like a WP:CHEAP redirect given the BLP implications and all. Nohomersryan (talk) 17:42, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was disambiguate. -- Tavix (talk) 14:22, 15 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned in the target. Wikipedia is not a directory of furries, even if notable. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 03:40, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget Peludo means Furry in spanish. This might be an old holdover make it redirect to Furry instead.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Klichka (talkcontribs) 15:40, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Changed to a dab page see below. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:06, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget per FORRED IS BAD. All the best: Rich Farmbrough, 17:54, 22 October 2017 (UTC).[reply]

  • Disambiguate for the various people nicknamed "El Peludo" (Augustine Chacon, Quirino Cristiani, Hipólito Yrigoyen) and whichever armadillo is called "peludo" in English [6] (I can't figure out whether "peludo" refers only to the big hairy armadillo or to any species in genus Chaetophractus). Do not retarget to furry. Redirects should not be a poor man's version of Wiktionary or Google Translate, and it is never a good idea to target a foreign language word which has multiple meanings (see wikt:peludo) to a single translation of one of those meanings. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 12:11, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Should a disambiguation page also mention the film Peludópolis (1931)? It is one of the early animated feature films. Dimadick (talk) 18:43, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You realize that the article gives the literal English name of the film as "Peludo City", right? Dimadick (talk) 23:28, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete because WP:FORRED is a rationale (literally, you can click through and read a detailed explanation of the issue), and "FORRED IS BAD" is not (it entirely fails to explain why FORRED is "bad"). --NYKevin 03:34, 2 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Dabify the search results show many candidates. No primary topics though. I've made this into a dab. The wiktionary definitions cover the furry and hairy part but covers fur in general as shown in a Cosmopolitan magazine article [7] Although other articles associate it with furry fandom [8], it's more of a WP:FORRED AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:41, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • I also support the creation of a disambiguation page. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 18:53, 8 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • As nominator, I will not oppose the dab AngusWOOF made. Bold move! jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk • contribs) 23:27, 14 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
