    • Taking a look at that article, the section, as with most of the rest of the article is a compilation of content from primary sources (the only source is one of the people mentioned in the article). Prodded it, but an editor would also be justified to simply prune it down to the basics, which would almost certainly remove this. I'm relisting to give an opportunity to discuss the redirect without that target and to list the variant redirects Hoops on the rez and User:Popcap1523/Hoops on the rez which should have the same fate as the originally nominated redirect.

A dispute has arisen as to whether this should continue to redirect to its current longstanding target (also the redirect target of Stone, for which "stones" is the plural), or should be a separate disambiguation page. I have no immediate opinion on the matter, but would like to see evidence of a lack of primacy before changing a longstanding status quo ante. bd2412 T 14:14, 15 November 2017 (UTC)

  • Keep Google Books results show that rock (geology) is the clear WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT by usage. The Rolling Stones come in a very distant second. Stone (unit) forms an even smaller proportion of actual usages, and isn't consistently pluralised anyway (e.g. "he weighs ten stone" not *"he weighs ten stones", but "how much is that in stones" rather than *"how much is that in stone"). 59.149.124.29 (talk) 03:21, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
