Better source request for some of your uploads[edit]

Thanks for your uploads to Wikipedia. There is an issue with some of them, specifically:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the images because the source is incomplete. Theo's Little Bot 21:25, 24 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Signe J. Pedersen has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern: Fails WP:NFOOTY, youth national teams doesn't confer notability. Mentoz86 (talk) 17:46, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Wanted to let you know that I've nominated an article for deletion, Fredrik Hesselberg-Meyer, that you nominated for deletion 7 years ago. You are welcome to participate in the discussion. Mentoz86 (talk) 11:53, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Depending on whether you consider this to be a reliable source, the BLPPROD originally on it could be replaced, as it requires at least one reference to a reliable source. I don't know Norwegian enough (at all) to determine, but to me it looks like some sort of fansite. Charmlet (talk) 13:29, 1 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

re:Per Danielsen[edit]

Hi Geschichte. Lovely to see that important redlink being filled.

I know Per Danielsen's life story very well. I've done real life work with regards to him. He's absolutely, 100%, notable. I could list more than half a dozen reasons why he's notable. Last time I heard how he was doing was a couple of years ago. Back then he was of ill health. Not that surprising for someone in his nineties. Manxruler (talk) 15:34, 1 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

But is the no:wp article actually of value? Geschichte (talk) 11:20, 2 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, yes. Missed that bit, for some reason. Well, as is usual for Norwegian Wikipedia, there is an insufficient number of inline citations. However, the info in the article is mostly correct, with a few exceptions (like the claim that the entire refugee population on Sørøya was evacuated). I think you should translate it. The external links are good, although of course Ulateig has his usual not exactly neutral POV. Manxruler (talk) 21:46, 2 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thélia Sigère[edit]

Hey Geschichte. Special:Random landed me at Thélia Sigère; it was a pleasure to read. It's relatively rare to find articles on minor sports figures as well-referenced as this one is - I appreciate you wrote it quite a while ago, but I thought I'd pop by and say I appreciated it :). Ironholds (talk) 21:14, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Why thank you! Sourcing is imperative. Geschichte (talk) 08:53, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

First Price[edit]

I disagree with your decision to remove without any discussion the "deletion" request for "First Price". Considering much of the page is not in English and indeed there is no equivalent page in Norwegian, it's hard for me to see why such content needs to be in EN Wikipedia. Griffindd (talk) 17:27, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Proper nouns need not be in English. Geschichte (talk) 08:53, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure what proper nouns have to do with it. "Epler" is just the Norwegian word for "apples" but appears on the page only in NO. As I mentioned, the fact that there is no equivalent page in NO wikipedia tends suggest there is no notability which would justify having a page in English. (What kind of Norwegian supermarket own-brand is not notable in Norwegian but is in English?) There is also the fact that the article cites no sources as at all. Griffindd (talk) 11:39, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

DYK[edit]

Can I ask why you stopped contributing to DYK? Because I've just done the same.♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 07:41, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I stopped immediately when the quid pro quo variant was introduced. It was already enough work writing the articles. Also lots of badmouthing that new articles shouldn't be eligible. Geschichte (talk) 08:53, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Recently created articles about Norwegian footballers[edit]

As you have noticed, there is a user who has created a whole lot of articles on Norwegian footballer, half of them are notable the other half is not. I have tried to clean up some of these articles, by removing everything that isn't sourced (I could have added the sources myself, but I don't have time during my vacation), to try to learn the user in question that he needs to source the info he adds to articles. I was going to send him a nice message where I tried to adress my concern, but the next day I realized that you added unsourced info to these articles aswell ([1] [2]) - when an admin were doing the same thing I thought it was going to be hard to learn him to do it the right way... I think it would be easy to source that Adnan Causevic has played for Djerv 1919 and joined Vard Haugesund's senior squad in 2007 or that he is "from" Haugesund, but I think it is your job to do it when you add this information to the articles, and if would improve the encyclopedia if you add sources whenever you do a "minor edit" like adding a youth-club or a "from city" category or a "of descent" category. Better source request for some of your uploads[edit]

Thanks for your uploads to Wikipedia. There is an issue with some of them, specifically:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the images because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the images, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image files themselves. Please update the image descriptions with URLs that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 21:06, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Request to take part in a survey[edit]

Hi there. I would very much appreciate it if you could spend ~2 minutes and take a short survey - a project trying to understand why the most active Wikipedia contributors (such as yourself) may reduce their activity, or retire. I sent you an email with details, if you did not get it please send me a wikiemail, so that I can send you an email with the survey questions. I would very much appreciate your cooperation, as you are among the most active Wikipedia editors who show a pattern of reduced activity, and thus your response would be extremely valuable. Norwegian language question[edit]

Hi Geschichte, I came upon your page when I was perusing the history of the article you created about the "other" Ole Bull and was greatly entertained by your "other" accomplishments (AfD) listing on your user page. It appears as though you may have a good knowledge of things Norwegian: I have a request for an idiomatic translation of the Church of Norway hymn title "Høgt frå den himmelske klåra". Any help you can provide (including just pointing me at someone else) would be appreciated. Dictioneer (talk) 02:48, 14 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"High From the Heavenly Clearing"? "Klåre" means a clearing of the clouds in the sky. Geschichte (talk) 18:38, 14 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the "Klåre-fication" (sorry, couldn't resist). Since I'm shooting for an idiomatic translation (the hymn was written in like, the 16th century), would "High from the Clear Heavens" be acceptable, or I could go with "High from the Clearing Heavens"? Thanks again for the help, Dictioneer (talk) 23:34, 16 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Emma Flood[edit]

Hi Geschichte! I saw you added Category:People from Bærum to Emma Flood. Do you know if she was born there? I had a look on the internet yesterday before creating the article, but couldn't find a place of birth, so was just a bit curious. Have a nice weekend! Jared Preston (talk) 22:42, 23 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know the place of birth either, but I'm positive that she has lived her life in, and represents a club based in, a place called Stabekk. I have added this, with source. Geschichte (talk) 07:00, 26 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there GESCHICHTE, AL from Portugal here, please leave the categories exactly as they were, they were 100% correct. This person was born in Guinea-Bissau AFTER the independence, and stayed there (as a footballer mind you, not only as a human being) until his 13th birthday. Thus (amongst other stuff you removed and i reinstated), he IS a Guinea-Bissauan footballer OK?

Let's all work together as a team, shall we? Attentively --AL (talk) 02:05, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Footballers under 13 years of age fall under the WP:NOTDEFINING characteristic. In other words, such categorization is overcategorization. Also it is very rare for one person to be both an emigrant and "of descent" at the same time. Geschichte (talk) 17:01, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ah yes, my bad there, you are 100% correct to have removed the descent category, apologies are in order. --AL (talk) 18:30, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

re:Fugitives[edit]

Hi Geschichte. I would say he's a fugitive wanted by the United Kingdom. It seems that case, although of interest to Norway, is under British jurisdiction so far. If Norwegian police decided to become more involved in the case, then I guess he would fall under the category for Norway. Manxruler (talk) 18:49, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Geschichte. Could you help out moving SS Fleurus to HNoMS Thorodd? The latter is presently a redirect, which prevents me from doing it myself. If you could help, that would be great. Deleting your own PROD's[edit]

Hello, because I have Civil engineer on my watchlist, I noticed that you deleted NTH Ring per the proposed deletion process. I have no objection to that in principle, except that you also added the proposed deletion template to the article. Therefore you didn't give another admin a chance to review the page, as you should have per the policy on administrators acting in cases in which they have been involved. I don't think your deletion was a major mistake, but please consider whether you have a conflict of interest before performing an administrative action like that. Request for advice on possible COI and notability situation[edit]

Hi Geschichte. You're better at these policy issues than me, so I thought I'd ask before doing anything else.

Recently I've come across the articles Pingpongo and Alex Asensi. The first thing that I noticed was the apparent unreliability of the cited sources, so I tagged both articles for that. Then I was contacted by the creator of the articles who requested advice on how to get rid of the tags. I responded as best I could with regards to using reliable sources and all. Then it turned out that the creator of the articles is also mentioned in the Pingpongo article, making me think of a possible conflict of interest. The creator admitted to being the same person as in the article. Then it turned out that the editor in question has the same name as the creator of the main source for both articles (I believe they're the same person). I asked him four days ago if he was also the creator of the source, but he has not replied.

So, the situation seems to be that an editor seemingly quite involved in the sport of Pingpongo has written an article on the sport and another on a Pingpongo player, as well as written the main source for the two articles. This would be conflict of interest, wouldn't it?

And, finally, I'm doubtful with regards to the general notability of the articles. So, what do you think of the situation? Should anything be done? Manxruler (talk) 11:52, 13 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Uhm. Poke? Manxruler (talk) 21:08, 18 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I think a deletion discussion would sort it out, Asensi's notability in particular looking dubious. Geschichte (talk) 12:49, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, sounds about right. I guess I should go nom the articles for deletion, and then see where it goes. Never done that before, should be interesting. Manxruler (talk) 19:00, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I think whoever created the infobox got confused by the Soccerbase stats – the 96 (4) on Soccerbase refers to 96 starts and 4 sub appearances, rather than 96 apperances and six goals. Footballers[edit]

Hi Geschichte. Just so I may understand this categorization issue, why should an expatriate footballer from Denmark be listed both at Category:Danish footballers and Category:Danish expatriate footballers? It seems to me self-evident that a Danish expatriate footballer is a Danish footballer, why do we need the double layer of categories? Manxruler (talk) 21:34, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

While double categorization into cat/subcat is generally frowned upon, it seems to be the precedent that ALL Danish footballers go into Category:Danish footballers (and the same for other nations). It's the same with Category:Denmark international footballers‎, they aren't removed from the "parent category" either. This is mostly my impression, I haven't read the guidelines. Geschichte (talk) 21:38, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
When I look at the situation, this does appear to be the case. I can't really see a reason why it should be like this, though. Further, if the Danish (or other nationality) footballer in question is female, then the footballer goes into the subcat Category:Danish women's footballers and other relevant subcats and are not listed in Category:Danish footballers. Very odd. I think I shall look into the relevant guidelines, maybe ask around at whatever project deals with football. Manxruler (talk) 22:26, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, can I interest you in contributing to this as you've long worked on Norwegian articles anyway? The idea is to motivate more editors to contribute to articles on the countries involved and bring about more quality improvements than if the target wasn't there. Proposed deletion of Skogbygda, Oppland[edit]

The article Skogbygda, Oppland has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No information, credible or otherwise, on this particular location could be found through various searching methods. The article itself also appears to have been abandoned for years, with no sizable amount of information ever being added through an edit.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Dubious[edit]

Hi there Geschichte. Everything OK? I saw you created the Hamad Mubarak Al-Dosari article but marked your own statements as needing citations and dubious – it gave me a real good laugh! Thanks for the comedy SFB 20:06, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

My pleasure! Sometimes I add medal info based on internal incoming links, leaving external references to be desired. GBR Athletics, for instance, only provides citations for winners of Arab Championships. The fourth place at the Asians, on the other hand, was guesswork: given his finish time, and that the bronze medal winner only barely edged out Al-Dosari. Thank you for citing the information! Geschichte (talk) 20:45, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Admiral Bruun[edit]

Hi Geschichte. Do you think the article would pass a GA review? Cheers. Manxruler (talk) 20:34, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

For the most part. The language, detail and referencing are certainly impressive. One-sentence paragraphs should be fleshed out or merged with others (cf. early life, personal life). The lead should be longer, summarizing some of the feats which made Bruun remarkable, as it stands it is too "skeletal". It wouldn't hurt to fill out some more redlinks either (and lose the interlanguage links), but if submitted to GA review, you might face quite the long waiting time, so there is ample time to turn them blue... Geschichte (talk) 21:08, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
PS. You might have other articles under your belt, possibly written years ago, that might be worth a shot as well. Geschichte (talk) 21:08, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the feedback. I agree that the smaller paragraphs should probably be merged (they're really as substantial as I've managed to get them, scouring the sources, so expanding isn't an option), and lead writing isn't what I'm best at. I'll get going soon on working on those things.
As for the redlinks, I like those. Our guidelines approve of their use too. Besides, in my experience writing up an article from scratch is a whole lot easier than to expand a stub.
Are interlanguage links bad? They seem quite useful to me (provided of course that one uses the interlanguage template, which does not camouflage the redlinks).
Regarding older articles, I can imagine a few of them could be brought up to standard. Could you help me out by pointing out some?
I'm afraid I'm presently in a period of poor health, so I won't be able to start any large-scale projects any time soon (the research for and work on Bruun's article took a lot of time, working on and off when my health permitted), but over time I should get to it. Manxruler (talk) 23:36, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Interlanguage links (I'm talking about the inline ones) are useful for someone who speaks the language in question... I can create some of the articles. I'll try to remember some of the older articles, although I can mention Kristian Løken off the top of my head. Geschichte (talk) 19:07, 26 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that they're useful for those people who can read the languages in question (and of course less useful for people who don't read those languages), and I think that the inline interlanguage links (using Template:Interlanguage link) make it clear that if one clicks the bracketed link, then one can read an article about the redlinked subject in another language, which I think is nice (I of course completely agree that merely linking directly inline to another language Wikipedia without the interlanguage template is wrong, as that will camouflage proper redlinks and create the illusion that English-language Wikipedia has an article on something).
Ah, yes, Løken, I did put quite a lot of effort into that one. I'll give it another look soon and nom it too, I think I need to do some more work on it first, though. Thanks for the pointer. By the way, I think my next article will be something other than a biography, I've done a few of those in a row now, time to mix it up.
As for articles currently redlinked in the article and not on my to-do list, the three geographical redlinks and the newspaper (Riskafjord, Åmøyfjord, Vogts gate, and Fylkestidende for Sogn og Fjordane) would be nice to have written up at some point in time. I don't think I've ever written a geographical article or one about a newspaper, I'm more of a ship/military writer. Cheers. Manxruler (talk) 21:22, 26 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I reverted your reversion of my edit to Reidar Torp because I don't see any basis for the removal of edits that were entirely compliant with the Manual of Style. I usually prefer to discuss rather than revert, but your edit summary, a borderline personal attack, did not indicate the policy-based rationale behind your edits. I assume that a long-time editor such as yourself is acting in good faith, but I cannot act upon that assumption unless a better explanation is provided. If I understood where you were coming from, I might even be convinced to self-revert. Canadian Paul 22:39, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there Geschichte, from Portugal,

i apologize for reverting you in this article, only because i should have used "undo" and used a summary instead of using "rollback" and not write anything. Now, the question i should have asked before: do you have any proof the player has retired from the Spanish national team? If so, please do revert me; if not, i'm almost certain the dash must stay, you can ask at WP:FOOTY to confirm that i'm not messing with you.

Dear Geschichte.

I wrote a long time ago the Breyton Poole article in French, as soon as he won his 2017 World title with 2.24 m.

I will not improve (myself) the stub, because all the main info (the profile of the athlete on IAAF) and there are also many articles everywhere on this quite short high jumper (he IS very short for a high jumper!).

But if you’d like to, you can do it yourself.

So excuse me for not understanding your question.

Can you please not remove the 'England at the XXXX Commonwealth Games' links that are within articles. See Mark Roberson. Many thanks Racingmanager (talk) 11:56, 23 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I find the links too unrelated to the athlete in question. Why should they be included? In addition it's pretty unnecessary to include three citations per sentence on non-controversial topics. On the other hand, you should look at the rewrite of Mark Roberson and shape your own articles accordingly. It would also be more courteous to archive your talk page rather than blank it. Geschichte (talk) 12:45, 23 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Why shouldn't they be included? they all include his name on the relevant competitor lists. Please provide the wikipedia guideline that states unnecessary and I will ensure that I do so. Also not courteous to remove links from articles such as 'England at XXXX Commonwealth Games' and I thought the idea of wikipedia was to encourage editing and not to delete such links for no reason. I have sent you a note about a page you reviewed[edit]

Hello, Geschichte. Thank you for creating Norbert Juračka. User:Insertcleverphrasehere, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments: It may pass an SNG, but one source fails WP:V. I expect better from admins and other autopatrolled users. You are trusted to create articles without major issues, as your articles do not appear in the 'unreviewed' new page patrol queue. This is not acceptable. To reply, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Insertcleverphrasehere}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)Insertcleverphrasehere (or here)(click me!) 21:04, 29 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think you are wholly incorrect. A subject fails WP:V if a reliable source does not exist, not if the article lacks a number of potential sources at a given time. It is not mandatory for new Wikipedia articles to be exhaustive per WP:DEADLINE. There is no policy or guideline that prohibits administrators or experienced contributors from creating stubs. Hence I don't see that the article in question has "major" issue at all. It is fully categorized, more than what can be said about most new articles. If anything, I should be lauded for not inserting unverified information in the infobox, like questionable stats of games and goals, which too is all too common a sight. Geschichte, Autopatrolled editors (and admins) are expected to create articles with no major issues. If you aren't following your end of that social contract, that's a problem. Some of the above deletion notices are also concerning. — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here)(click me!) 18:18, 30 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Major issues include copyright violations, no references or wrongful information. Being a stub is not a major issue, it's being a stub. Ever heard of WP:DEADLINE for instance, which you declined to comment on in your latest reply? Your rhetoric ("unnacceptable", "problem") simply looks hysterical to me. By the way two of the recent deletion notices concerned articles from 2008, which were swiftly fixed, another of them is looking to be kept unanimously. (Having the odd article deleted is no major issue either. Thankfully Wikipedians are allowed different opinions on what subject matter to write about, and then maybe sort out difference through a discussion afterwards.) A couple links to stats pages is not great sourcing. Sure, you've demonstrated that he meets the SNG, can you provide some sources that actually say something about the subject beyond just some Statistics?

Greek football clubs emblems[edit]

Hello friend. How are you?

Do you know how to put in english wikipedia the emblems of these teams as they are in greek wikipedia, in high quality? I did it, but they asked me to reduce it and I didn't know how to do it. As you can see the emblems of these teams in english wikipedia are in quality carpets because they have changed their size. Can you fix it like they are in greek wikipedia?

— Preceding unsigned comment added by GRanemos1 (talkcontribs) 07:53, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! The lower image quality is probably due to the copyright provisions for logos. They can't be of high resolution. Other than that I'm not particularly good with making images.. Geschichte (talk) 07:44, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mircea Onisemiuc[edit]

The only thing I could find about him in Romanian media is a GSP interview with Marian Aliuță in which he talks about tricked games and in one it is mentioned Onisemiuc. Gsp article, there are also some stats on fupa.net fupa, but only for games played in Germany. Sebi1990 (talk) 13 April 2020

Hello! I have old sport newspapers, Onisemiuc played in Romania for CS Portul Constanța (1988-1995), CF Brăila (1995-1996), FC Argeș Pitești (1996), Chindia Tragoviste (1996-1997) and Foresta Falticeni (1998), he then moved to Germany. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.15.70.120 (talk) 22:15, 14 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Cool, so if I add a page about him, could you both add the stuff you mentioned, with references? Geschichte (talk) 12:26, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Don't add red-linked categories per WP:REDNOT[edit]

Please be aware that the rules on red-linked categories are not the same as for red-linked artickes - per WP:REDNOT you should never make an edit that adds a non-existent category, either comment out the category or create it. I've made it easy for you to add club-players categories for all those Greek footballers like Christos Veletanis you've been doing recently, to create eg Category:Tyrnavos 2005 F.C. players you just need the template {{clubplayerscat|Greece}} (adjusting the country as appropriate) - it's fairly intelligent at spotting redirects etc. Cheers.Le Deluge (talk) 14:04, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Weltfussball[edit]

Hello, I noticed you use Weltfussball as a source in some of the articles you create. However, since this is the English Wikipedia wouldn't it be better to use the English version of the site, WorldFootball.net? This can actually be easily done with a template (similar to National-Football-Teams): {{WorldFootball.net | ID }}. Cheers, S.A. Julio (talk) 21:01, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nalum[edit]

Hi, would you mind restoring the dab page at Nalum? It's a bit of a stretch to apply G6 like that, you could have tried PROD or AFD, or even boldly moved it out of the primary title. And regardless of the etymology of Norwegian surnames, people are still often referred to using their surname, at least in the English context, so a user searching for "Nalum" could easily be looking for the person. "Ngalum" is a valid entry too, as syllable-initial ng- is pronounced the same as n-Uanfala (talk) 12:16, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The person is now mentioned in the Nalum farm article, where he belongs. When a person takes a surname from a place, the place clearly holds the primary meaning. "Ngalum", which isn't a page by the way but a redirect to "Ngalum language" can be added to Nalum by a hatnote. Geschichte (talk) 12:19, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
But considerations of etymology are irrelevant in deciding primary topics. I suspect that you will still disagree at this point. I guess the completely proper thing for me to do would be to start a DELREV, but why bother with the bureaucracy for such a silly little page? Given what started this was one rule-bending deletion, I'll just take the liberty to bend the rules myself to move the page back, re-create the dab and invite you to start an AfD if you'd like to. – Uanfala (talk) 12:34, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Retired"[edit]

Hi. I see that you are labelling many young Tunisian footballers as "retired" in their micro-stubs. This seems to be rather premature or dubious, and has WP:BLP implications. E.g. Wael Ben Romdhane has his most recent club listed in 2017, but was still active at a high level in 2019[3]. Younes Mazhoud is still active as well[4], five years after the last club you list.

At the very least, please don't label people as "retired" unless you are absolutely certain of this. And perhaps consider creating less articles, but with a bit more information. Fram (talk) 09:04, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • I agree I'll use the "retired" label more sparingly. It's very good if we can expand the articles with more up-to-date information! Couldn't expand them if they weren't created, right? Geschichte (talk) 09:22, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • Well, most won't get expanded even if they are created, leaving us with many thousands eternal microstubs (not just by you, there are others doing the same); if even the information in the one line of information can't be trusted, and the infobox is already outdated when they are created, then their value is rather minimal at best. But thank you for avoiding "retired" unless it is certain. Fram (talk) 09:30, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
