Anonymous editors
Hello - Do you have any advice on how to proceed with what looks like a single editor using multiple anonymous addresses to continually create bad edits? I've been dealing with a series of edits to New England highway articles that violate the guidelines of WP:USRD. The editor(s) never respond to my messages but continue to restore their incorrect edits without comment. I see you have run into at least one of the anonymous IP addresses doing similar work to radio station articles. Thanks, --Ken Gallager (talk) 14:59, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
- From what I can gather, this is all coming from a single IPv6 range, 2601:192:103:3000:0:0:0:0/64 (talk · contribs · WHOIS). That range has been blocked twice in the past for similar edits; the second block was for evading a block on another IP, 32.211.63.156 (talk · contribs · WHOIS); that IP, which hasn't edited since 2018, is associated with a different ISP than the current range, but was clearly the same person making the same type of questionable-at-best edits in the same topic areas (and that was that IP's fourth block). The 32.211.63.156 block expired on April 11, so there's now nothing formally being evaded anymore (though there were edits from the range before then…), but I'd still bring 2601:192:103:3000:0:0:0:0/64 to the attention of administrators; they clearly haven't changed. (Side note, my biggest issue with them is their insistence on inserting duplicate links that contravene the Manual of Style.) --WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 17:44, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks, that's good advice. --Ken Gallager (talk) 12:48, 23 April 2020 (UTC)

WQSI/WTGZ
I also had to fix WQSI and WTGZ as their infoboxes wound up with partially the wrong information after a call sign swap and I've made several more changes. The day the monthly Call Sign Actions report drops is when you really see what needs to be done, isn't it. Raymie (t • c) 19:48, 12 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Raymie: The problem there was that, as the article histories for WQSI and WTGZ reveal, an IP decided that the articles should stay with those call signs and formats, not the license as is standard practice. (The lack of historical information in both stations' pages, outside the infoboxes, is probably the reason for that.) At least that was just a content issue, unlike the cut-and-paste moves surrounding the change of WCAD to WJKL, leading the previous WJKL to go back to WKRT… which required reverting the pages where things were overwritten and requesting a history merge at the "newly-created" WKRT (FM). (And yes, it's amazing what, especially at smaller stations, falls under the radar until the FCC's monthly call change compilation… this is the type of thing that, in the past, Mlaffs has been on top of.) --WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 20:11, 12 June 2020 (UTC)
- It used to be a lot easier to stay on top of in real time. The guy who ran the StreamingRadioGuide website built a page for me that identified call sign changes in the FCC database on a daily basis, so it was dead easy to keep things spic and span (as long as I had the time). Unfortunately, he shut his site down at the end of the year because of changes to consumer privacy legislation that he just couldn't justify having to pay for. And that was the end of that page (and all the other wonderful tools on his site, which is greatly missed). As far as I know, there's no other source for that information than the monthly updates.
- My wiki-involvement is much more in fits and spurts than it used to be also, because... well, life, I guess. So in reality, I haven't even been keeping up well with the monthly updates, although they sit there in my Evernote staring at me, along with everything else from the daily Broadcast Actions reports. I suspect at some point I'll have to declare wiki-bankruptcy, although we're not there yet. :>) Mlaffs (talk) 00:26, 13 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Mlaffs: It's not a monthly update, but fcc.today, which is part of RECNetworks, updates things on a daily basis with information pulled directly from the FCC database every 20 minutes. Yeah, they still post those daily blurbs, posts from the Media Bureau, and monthly call sign reports too, but getting them in a daily in-near-real-time site is soooo much better. :D - Neutralhomer • Talk • 08:02 on June 13, 2020 (UTC) • #StayAtHome
Mvcg66b3r
Would you mind taking a looking Mvcg66b3r's edits, especially those in the last 24-48 hours? I believe they are doing a little OWNing of pages, biting, well, everyone, and throwing out warnings where warnings should not be issued. Possible misuse of tools. I can handle what the user is dishing out, but they basically called a newbie editor a possible sock because of a problematic edit. Not cool.
I know you aren't an admin, but your words go a long way, plus you know admins in case you can't get the point across. Thanks...Neutralhomer • Talk • 21:23 on June 14, 2020 (UTC) • #StayAtHome

Infobox RfC
I'm proposing a redesign containing visual, technical and other improvements to {{Infobox radio station}} and {{Infobox broadcast}}. The discussion is located at Wikipedia:WikiProject Radio Stations/2020 infobox redesign proposal. As an editor active in editing radio and/or TV station articles, or in recent changes to the templates in question, I wanted to make you aware of this proposal and kindly ask for your feedback.
