Lead in[edit]

i just wanted to discuss before re-working/re-writing the lead in to this article. It is written in a promotional manner, and does not follow general guidelines for television station pages. These basic facts usually include general information about the station: the transmitter license location, syndicated programming, studio location and the area the station serves. Newscast information should be noted in the newscast section. The'boasting' about the transmission coverage is written in a promotional manner. According to WP:MOSINTRO: "The reason for a topic's noteworthiness should be established, or at least introduced, in the lead (but not by using subjective "peacock terms" such as "acclaimed" or "award-winning" or "hit")." Adding unreferenced entries of former employees to lists containing BLP material[edit]

Hello, Please do not add unreferenced names as entries to the list of former employees in articles. Including this type of material in articles does not abide by current consensus and its inclusion is strongly discouraged in our policies and guidelines. The rationales are as follows:

WP:NOT tells us, Wikipedia is "not an indiscriminate collection of information." As that section describes, just because something is true, doesn't necessarily mean the info belongs in Wikipedia.
As per WP:V, we cannot include information in Wikipedia that is not verifiable and sourced.
WP:Source list tells us that lists included within articles (including people's names) are subject to the same need for references as any other information in the article.
Per WP:BLP, we have to be especially careful about including un-sourced info about living persons.

If you look at articles about companies in general, you will not find mention of previous employees, except in those cases where the employee was particularly notable. Even then, the information is not presented just as a list of names, but is incorporated into the text itself (for example, when a company's article talks about the policies a previous CEO had, or when they mention the discovery/invention of a former engineer/researcher). If a preexisting article is already in the encyclopedia for the person you want to add to a list, it's generally regarded as sufficient to support their inclusion in list material in another article. cheers Deconstructhis (talk) 21:34, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As it's been a year and there have been no objections, I have removed the list of ex-employees. I also removed the list of "personalities" and some other unsourced material that seemed borderline promotional. Kendall-K1 (talk) 01:07, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

Adding links to the other WSFA[edit]

The Washington Science Fiction Association is abbreviated to WSFA to the point that people often don't know what it stands for which is especially true of WSFA Press and the WSFA Small Press Award. People have been winding up here so I've added the links to the other WSFA.
