Allegation that Patriots filmed Rams practice was proven false[edit]

The following statement is made at the end of the section titled "2007 National Football League videotaping controversy": From an unknown source, the Boston Herald said that Belichick had done this practice with the St. Louis Rams practice before Super Bowl XXXVI, a fact that Belichick denied.[37]

This allegation (not "fact") was investigated by the NFL investigated and found to be false. The Herald retracted the story, with a front page headline, and issued an apology. All of this can be found (with further details and links to supporting documents) on the main page at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_New_England_Patriots_videotaping_controversy — Preceding unsigned comment added by Drake01605 (talkcontribs) 12:24, 22 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Lack of Info on Player Safety (Head Injuries)[edit]

In recent years, the NFL has received criticism for their role in brain injuries of their players, but this article does not discuss it in depth. I would like to propose an edit that gives better details about the NFL's concussion policies, and also gives better details about the discovery of CTE in the brains of former players. I could elaborate on the settlement made between the league and the players, and I could talk about the action that Commissioner's Goodell and Tagliabue have taken to prevent head injuries. @Evan blake1: Adding additional content regarding head injuries are better directed for Concussions in American football. This article is meant to just be a summary. NFLisAwesome (ZappaOMati) 16:58, 20 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Notable cases list is bordering on libelous[edit]

Having "double murder" next to OJ Simpson's name is dicey. He was charged with two counts of murder, but he was acquitted of the charges. The same is true of Ray Lewis, yet the word "murder" appears beside his name. Additionally, different guilty charges appear right beside "murder". All the charges need to be laid out much more clearly because, as it stands, it looks like OJ Simpson was found guilty of double murder and of kidnapping and of armed robbery, etc. Aaron Hernandez, on the other hand, has been convicted of murder, and the article should convey that more clearly, as well. A table might be best to ferret out the details of each charge. Fdssdf (talk) 04:24, 20 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Notable Criminal Cases: Jon Gruden????[edit]

For some reason a user saw fit to add John Gruden’s name to the list of players identified under the header/sub header titled, Notable Criminal Cases. Absolutely nothing Jon Gruden did was criminal and he will never be tried as a criminal for sending emails. I suggest Jon Gruden’s name be removed from the Notable Criminal Cases header/sub header.
