File source problem with File:Jon Huertas Image (2).jpg

[edit]
File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Jon Huertas Image (2).jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 06:44, 27 September 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 06:44, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Shanti Lowry 3212.JPG.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 05:10, 11 December 2009 (UTC). The article Sylvia Seymour has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable actress; the notability guideline WP:ENT asks for "significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions," but Sylvia Seymour has had only three low-billed minor roles and a single TV episode.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  Glenfarclas  (talk) 08:57, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content (particularly if you change facts and figures), as you have to the article The Beast Below, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. I mentioned IMDB in the edit message, but also wikis and blogs are not reliable sources. Edgepedia (talk) 20:28, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Please be mindful when you revert edits as you did here. The IP provided a detailed reason why the changes were made and those changes were in line with policy. A subject's race does not go in the lede unless it is paramount to their notability. Further, the sources you cited are not reliable in the content of Wikipedia. The subject's official website is considered a primary source. If a subject is notable, secondary sources should be easily found. IMDb bios also can't be used for sources here because they are not generally fact checked before being posted. Lastly, Facebook and MySpace links should not be included in article. Thanks. Pinkadelica 01:16, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Um, did you read this note before or after reverting the content back? For the second time, IMDb and the actress' official site are not reliable sources. Find new sources if you want to include the content. Pinkadelica 01:23, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't address the filmography table (credits) at all so I've no idea why you brought that up. In order to reinstate your preferred version of the credits, you did not have to revert the entire article. Twice. Pinkadelica 01:33, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
We need to cite an third party reliable source whenever possible. That means something like a magazine article. Something that has been fact checked by a source that has a reputation for reporting correct information. While I'm sure the content on the official site is correct, it is too close to the subject (see primary source). Have you looked for any additional sources besides the official site? Pinkadelica 01:51, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. I know there are tons of rules and even after three years, I don't know 'em all. I'll look for some sources to back up the text you want to include. If I find them, I'll re-add the text back. Happy editing. Pinkadelica 02:06, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, there's currently a big to-do going on about unsourced BLPs (biographies of living persons) on Wikipedia, so it's not probably not the greatest idea to add back unverified content. The article can definitely cover her career (roles, etc.), but nothing about her personal life or things of that nature. Pinkadelica 03:29, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. Hi.

It looks like you mostly work on articles about TV, and maybe movies. You should be able to find other editors interested in those topics at WP:FILM and WP:TV. They might make it easier for you to learn the ropes here.

If you ever need general guidance, you can ask at Wikipedia:Editor assistance.

We also have Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User, in which "More experienced editors (or wikimentors) can "adopt" newer users, helping to mentor them along the way as they learn about Wikipedia. We hope that this program will be able to inform new users about the ins and outs of Wikipedia."

Hello, Silver Buizel. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, I Heart Tuesdays, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Gbawden (talk) 10:57, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

When adding links to material on external sites, as you did to Nanatsu no Taizai, please ensure that the external site is not violating the creator's copyright. Linking to websites that display copyrighted works is acceptable as long as the website's operator has created or licensed the work. Knowingly directing others to a site that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement. This is particularly relevant when linking to sites such as YouTube, where due care should be taken to avoid linking to material that violates its creator's copyright. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you believe the linked site is not violating copyright with respect to the material, then you should do one of the following:

  • If the linked site is the copyright holder, leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page;
  • If a note on the linked site credibly claims permission to host the material, or a note on the copyright holder's site grants such permission, leave a note on the article Talk page with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you are the copyright holder or the external site administrator, adjust the linked site to indicate permission as above and leave a note on the article Talk page;

If the material is available on a different site that satisfies one of the above conditions, link to that site instead. DragonZero (Talk · Contribs) 04:10, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Rain of the Ghosts, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Unnotable future book

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Categorization

[edit]

Hey there, I thought you should know that when adding categories to an article you should avoid redundancies. Categorizing someone as an "American voice actor" and an "African-American voice actor" is unnecessary because the latter category is included in the former. Also be aware that categories should only be added if the category is supported by sources in an article and is a defining aspect of the subject. Simply having had a voice-acting role is not sufficient, an actor or actress would have to have had a noteworthy voice-acting role or otherwise have voice-acting roles be a noteworthy part of their career.--The Devil's Advocate tlk. cntrb. 23:01, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Wendy Williams. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Steel1943 (talk) 00:18, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

your talk page comments seem to indicate that you think that Wikipedia is a celebrity gossip tabloid that covers all the recent scandals. it is not. wikipedia is an encyclopedia and we cover what is encyclopedic content that helps the reader understand the subject not running after every titillating piece of dirty gossip. try to focus on things where williams has an impact on the world, or where the event has some type of documentable impact on williams, not just that the press covered her most recent outrageous statement. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 10:06, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Lindsey Fawcett has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Cut-and-paste move

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Justice League: Action a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Justice League Action. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Walking Dead redirects

[edit]

Hi, can you please request deletion of the redirects you created for Cross (The Walking Dead), The Calm Before, Scarred (The Walking Dead) and Something To Fear using Template:Db-g7. I asked you before to not create redirects for upcoming Walking Dead episodes unless the titles have been officially confirmed. Those season 6 episode titles were never official in the first place and have now been proven incorrect per here. Thank you. Drovethrughosts (talk) 16:30, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to ask you again to please request those redirects for deletion, because none of those episode titles are correct, and "Something to Fear" is based on an unreliable source (SpoilerTV) which report on those other season 6 episode titles were false. And I have no idea where "Scarred" came from. In the future, please do not create redirects unless the titles have been confirmed by reliable sources such as AMC. Thank you. Drovethrughosts (talk) 16:08, 14 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please request deletion of those redirects. None of them are episode titles for the series and they shouldn't exist and should be deleted. Drovethrughosts (talk) 22:20, 31 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Another new season, and the same problems keeps happening... You created redirects for Blazing Hell and Exodus (The Walking Dead) based on the unreliable SpoilerTV again, and those titles have been proven to be false ([2]). Please request deletion of the redirects using Template:Db-g7. Drovethrughosts (talk) 13:18, 17 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mechamato requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.animationxpress.com/animation/monsta-goes-big-as-cartoon-network-takes-up-mechamato/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
