There is no mention of "Little Nepal" at the target (nor should there be, Nepal is not in India). Because I was unable to find a better target, I recommend deletion. -- Tavix (talk) 14:09, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. The only search results I'm seeing are for Nepalese restaurants (principally ones in Colorado Springs and Rijswijk), after them I get this redirect, a hotel in Kathmandu and more restaurants (San Francisco, Currambine, Delhi, Sacavem) but nothing encyclopaedic. Thryduulf (talk) 14:52, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete for now as downright misleading. If there exist encyclopedia sections on various Nepali diaspora communities, it can be replaced by a dab page or an article later. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 21:42, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm thinking these should be redlinked until a dedicated article on the topic can be written. The current target is obviously no good, New Jersey is much larger than Edison. Chinese Americans briefly mentions New Jersey and New Jersey briefly mentions the Chinese population, but I am unable to locate any content that is significant enough for a redirect. -- Tavix (talk) 14:05, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The title never was called WWE Hardcore Championship. Wrong redirect. Ask for deletion. HHH Pedrigree (talk) 12:56, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete while the 24/7 championship has a gimmick based on a similar stipulation that the WWE Hardcore championship had (championship can change hand at any time) this championship was never marketed as a hardcore championship and I’ve never heard it referred to as such. Looking this up I also noticed the similar WWE Hardcore Championship (2019–present) which should be deleted as well. Can someone please add that one to the nomination?--70.24.250.173 (talk) 14:32, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

David's[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to David (disambiguation). There is broad agreement that this is ambiguous. Retargeting to the existing disambiguation page was the most popular option, and while the companies were not previously listed there, I've added them, since they don't seem out of place. I'll leave a note over there that if they want to evict the "David's" usages, the title should be disambiguated after all. --BDD (talk) 17:58, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Highly highly ambiguous as the possesive form of a very common name. I don't think a chain of 25 supermarkets in Texas is what most people would be expecting to find if they searched for this. 192.76.8.78 (talk) 19:34, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. Veverve (talk) 21:45, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate, which is the recommended solution when something is "highly highly ambiguous". The supermarket and David's Bridal are the only ones I can find that popularly go by "David's", but a see also to David (disambiguation) and St. David's should cover the common "possessive of David" use. -- Tavix (talk) 00:46, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Retarget to David (disambiguation) as the possessive of the word "David". NotReallySoroka (talk) 21:59, 19 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep If someone is searching for David's and not David, they are unlikely to be looking for the name so the disambiguation page is not helpful. Mark's is an article and similar redirects such as John's don't exist; Matthew's is automatically redirected to Matthew S when using the search button. This company is usually known as David's and the only reason it is not the article title is that the company has other brands, whereas the other is not usually referred to just as David's in sources. There can be a link to the disambiguation page.82.132.186.43 (talk) 22:09, 20 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to David (disambiguation) Supermarket chain is now defunct with a small service area, and there are other businesses called "David's" in the world. Nate (chatter) 23:07, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Retarget to David (disambiguation) per above --Lenticel (talk) 03:24, 27 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate per Tavix. If retargeted to the existing dab page at David (disambiguation), the entries Tavix mentions and the current target must be added there (making it a combined dab page). David's (disambiguation) should be created as a redirect as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mdewman6 (talkcontribs) 00:08, 28 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate, looking at the existing entries at David (disambiguation), my sense is that readers searching for the possessive form will not be aided by any of them, and Tavix's suggestion for a possessive-form disambiguation page is thus more helpful. signed, Rosguill talk 16:55, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per IP 82, unless there are other claimants on enwiki. Hatnote to David's Bridal which appears to be at best a partial title match, and as the IP says, is not referred to as "David's" in sources. The people associated with the company may be referring to it in that way though. Optional hatnote to David (disambiguation). Second choice: a David's dab per Tavix and Rosguill, but NOT a retarget to David (disambiguation) which does not have a mention of David's. Someone looking for David's is looking for exactly that, not an array of possible non-apostrophe matches. Jay (talk) 19:49, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • @Jay: I'm confused how you came to the conclusion that David's appears to be at best a partial title match. In the David's Bridal article, it's referred to as simply "David's" three times. Their loyalty program is called "Diamond Loyalty Program by David's". Here are some recent news articles showing simply "David's": David's has unveiled innovative solutions, acquisition gives David’s access to tools, David's Promises 'Complete Modernization', continue the momentum that David’s built David’s has some beautiful dresses. -- Tavix (talk) 21:40, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
      • I looked at places in the article where only David's was mentioned and cross-checked the references. Now I have gone through the links you provided, and will still stick to the name being used by the company people, or people close to it, when they talk about the company. However, not being familiar with the brand, this is what I observed by only looking at sources. Someone who knows the brand, and knows for a fact that it is commonly referred to as David's, will feel differently. Note to closer that the primary target discussion can also happen independently of this RfD. Jay (talk) 02:03, 8 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
        • If the company is referred to as simply "David's" by a group of people, it is not a WP:PTM. It doesn't matter who does this, because anyone who hears simply "David's" regardless of context may try looking it up. -- Tavix (talk) 19:53, 8 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Joey's[edit]

The result of the discussion was no consensus, but retarget to 26th Milestone, Isle of Man (WP:NCRET). This is a strange case because the true status quo was the redirect to the director, which stood for more than a decade (!), but it also seems clear that that never should've been the case, so we're really restoring to an earlier status quo. I'll add a hatnote for the seafood chain. --BDD (talk) 17:51, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is a redirect from move of an article, Joey Gosiengfiao, from an obviously malformed title. It was previously a redirect to 26th Milestone, Isle of Man before the article was created, and it only lasted as an article at this title for two days. IMO this should be redirected to Joey as ambiguous or straight up deleted. eviolite (talk) 00:02, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguate to include both entries as stated by others below. CycloneYoris talk! 00:59, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget back to 26th Milestone, Isle of Man (aka Joey's) unless there are other articles which could be referred to by this title. Joey's Seafood Restaurants or Joey's Only is only a partial title match. Jay (talk) 02:49, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Disambiguate due to all the debate and confusion presented both in the redirect's editing history and this very RFD. There is no primary topic for this term, it seems. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 19:35, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to Milestone article per Jay. It appears to be the only article on Wikipedia for a topic sometimes referred to as simply "Joey's". A hatnote can be added pointing to the restaurant's article if there's evidence that it's sometimes called "Joey's" (and not just "Joey's Only"). In either case, hatnote Joey (disambiguation). -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 22:15, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to 26th Milestone, Isle of Man as the primary topic and hatnote. While I do not think Joey's Seafood Restaurants is a WP:PTM given that they emphasize Joey's and nothing else, I do question its notability. -- Tavix (talk) 15:21, 24 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate: the are two topics that are sometimes referred to by the term, and it doesn't appear like one of them is a lot less obscure than the other (though if the restaurant chain is really not notable, then it can be send to AfD, but until such a time we'll have to take it into account when deciding primary topics). A dab page can also easily accommodate links to Joeys and to Joey. – Uanfala (talk) 20:48, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A series of implausible Koreatown redirects, this time with "Korean won" serving as an implausible misnomer for "Koreatown". — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 02:36, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nominator. None of the target articles discuss the Korean won or indeed any currency at all (besides a brief mention of US-dollar average income on Fort Lee, New Jersey). Nor are these remotely likely typos, given the number of deletions, insertions, and letter swaps between "Korean won' and "Koreatown". 61.239.39.90 (talk) 10:13, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
