Blatant promotion. User GreatDer has been adding promotion to Murena disambiguation since days after the PR campaign, Special:Diff/1091812055. Yae4 (talk) 23:51, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Strong Oppose I have no affiliation with the company or subject. You have continuously reverted my edits and countless other new users edits across FOSS projects. My redirects are directly helping visitors see the correct articles in relation to notable news sources. See: register[1], verge[2], digital trends[3], itsfoss[4], XDA[5] and many others. You have also reverted my edits at Murena and are interpreting the rules in a way that favors your version over others. Your behaviour is contrary to assume good faith and I consider it direct attack against editors. Greatder (talk) 13:07, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Great, you personal attack then you mention of WP:AGF. See WP:CYCLE. It is unfortunate the leaders of /e/ and associated shell companies have abused Wikipedia for many years: Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Indidea/Archive and continue by recruiting. -- Yae4 (talk) Yae4 (talk) 14:55, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep This appears to be the brand name of a phone mentioned in the article with reliable sources. The redirect seems plausible to me. At some point in the future, it may warrant article creation dependent on notability. - Presidentman talk · contribs (Talkback) 14:24, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. There's no policy reason to delete if these terms are mentioned in the article. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 16:13, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stock replacement[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. There is consensus to delete this based on the principle that this could plausibly be an article, but there are currently no good targets discussing it to any significant degree. Re-creation of this in the form of a sourced article is encouraged. ~ mazca talk 17:21, 9 August 2022 (UTC) ~ mazca talk 17:21, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned at the target. In an internet search, while there is quite a bit of coverage of stock replacement, none of the examples I came across mention LEAPS at all, making me think that this is likely a case of WP:R#DELETE #10 unless relevant information bridging the gap can be added to the current target. signed, Rosguill talk 23:24, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Neutral: I created this redirect, but it might not be commonly used. I saw it at Tastytrade and OptionsPlay. TraderCharlotte (talk) 02:18, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete: This is a tough scenario because LEAPS certainly is a stock replacement strategy in that holding a long-term call option is a proxy for holding the underlying security; however, there are other stock replacement strategies as well such as buying deeply ITM options that are not necessarily LEAPS. It might be best for this to become its own page and not a redirect. I am thus voting for deletion per WP:REDYES as this is a notable topic that probably deserves a full article. TartarTorte 14:35, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Other things that could be considered stock replacements are synthetic shorts (although that's replacing shorting a stock not longing it) and long combinations. TartarTorte 14:37, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as ambiguous and likely to cause confusion. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 16:20, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Redirects to Deaflympics[edit]

The result of the discussion was speedy delete per G5. Basixxgiaeewt is a sockpuppet of Rowingasia, who was blocked 19 July 2017. These redirects were created 14 June 2019, so they are in violation of Rowingasia's block. -- Tavix (talk) 20:23, 6 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

These redirects haven't been expanded in years and, although the Deaflympics article contains a table with dates / location / competitor count, it's better to remove the redirects to encourage article creation. These redirects were also created by a now blocked user (Basixxgiaeewt), so it's better to encourage others to work on this. Simeon (talk) 14:09, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

unrealistic redirect The Banner talk 10:06, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - I have no idea what is meant by an "unrealistic" redirect. This seems a very plausible way to search for this term, and is mentioned in the first sentence of the article in bold as an alternate name. That said, the nom has also listed the target for deletion (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lowland Scots people) so of course if the target is deleted before this discussion is closed this redirect should be deleted (or retargeted as appropriate if the article is merged somewhere). A7V2 (talk) 12:23, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Not an implausible search term to me. "Scots" and "Scottish" are synonyms of each other when the former refers to an ethnic group. - Presidentman talk · contribs (Talkback) 16:21, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy keep. Scottish and Scots are both denonyms of Scotland. CLYDEFRANKLIN 01:51, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as Scottish and Scots are synonyms in this context. What's even the nominator's rationale here? Glades12 (talk) 09:53, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. I would say replace with {{wtr}}, but wikt doesn't have a entry for that phrase, and it's too vague and common to be attributed to a single thing. CLYDEFRANKLIN 17:18, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

deletion - deProd'd unlikely search term (nominated by User:BobKilcoyne) User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 01:25, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. Okay, so this seems weird - it seems to be a improper redirect to a dab, but also nothing indicates that the band ever wasn't the primary topic. Either way, it's improper and should be deleted. CLYDEFRANKLIN 17:34, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
