Implausible title, far too wordy, potentially factually incorrect as the position of the United States is not yet known eπ/💬 21:22, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • If you read the agreement, the treaty is with a group titled "The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan which is not recognized by the United States as a state and is known as the Taliban". (As far as I can tell, this is the actual treaty.) Thus it is an encyclopedic name. User:力 (power~enwiki, π, ν) 21:27, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    okay, that's fair! Am I allowed to close this myself? eπ/💬 21:29, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep: I nominated this but I wish to withdraw nomination because I failed to do my due dilligence and check that the title was in fact how this party was referred to on the treaty eπ/💬 21:38, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The section linked to has been deleted and the article no longer mentions waterflame. Even when it had, contrary to LightningComplexFire's statements Waterflame is not solely famous for Geometry Dash music - he created OSTs for 2 other notable video games and his most popular Spotify track didn't even appear on GD. ~ El D. (talk to me) 19:27, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Delete: This person is clearly not solely known for his work in Geometry Dash's soundtrack (or any other soundtrack) so there is not a clear target for a redirect. Username6892 19:32, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as we don't provide useful information on him there, so having a redirect is a bit misleading. Elli (talk | contribs) 16:54, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect is multiple Samsung models grouped together. None of these models are mentioned at the target which is the Samsung page itself. Of no use to any reader. Whpq (talk) 17:34, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

According to baseball-reference, this particular Matt Walker hasn't played professionally since 2019. According to b-ref, there's currently a Matt Walker in the Tigers org, but it also lists a total of 5 Matt Walkers and 1 Matthew Walker who have played in pro baseball, none of whom meet WP:NBASE. Not sure that any one target is better than others, given the ambiguity of "Matt Walker (baseball)" Hog Farm Talk 06:07, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure what to do with this one - according to baseball-reference, Ferguson hasn't played in the Astros system since 2019 (2020 lost due to the corona). He was with the Mets org in 2021 until June, and then went to the Independent league KC Monarchs, but is no longer with them since earlier this month. Not sure if deleting or keeping this around to see if he winds up somewhere else is the better call. Hog Farm Talk 05:57, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wotan[edit]

This redirect previously pointed to Odin, but was changed to the current target, a set of epic music-dramas using Odin-Wotan as a character, in May of this year. Wotan is a German-language form of the name of Odin,(see wikt:Wotan) not specifically the name of Odin-Wotan as he appears in the Wagnerian epics. (Though the form was popularized by the epics) Most of the links to this redirect seem to be referring to the god rather than the epic character. I think that it should be retargeted back to Odin, as the god is the primary topic over the epic character, and the present target Der Ring des Nibelungen is potentially surprising to people looking for information on the god. -Thespündragon 05:55, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget back to Odin per nom, I was surprised by this recently, and I would consider myself a Wagnerian. It is far more fitting at Odin, where readers will be given a much broader view of the god and his place in culture, story and song. Well, nice to learn that Wagner was the first to use the variant 'Wotan'! In that case, the link straight to the Ring article makes sense. JohnmgKing (talk) 09:46, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep for now. As explained and supported by a reliable source in the article on Odin, the name Wotan was invented by Wagner, drawing inspiration from names for Odin but creating his own variation. Wotan is treated as a character in his own right in the reception history and by various writers, from opera critics to Aleister Crowley. I wrote "for now" because the best solution would be to write a separate article about Wotan - there are definitely enough sources to support it - where all of this and more can be covered. Adcock hasn't played in the Astros org since 2019 and is now in Indy ball. There's a presumeably different Brett Adcock mentioned at Vettery, and this Adcock appears in a current roster template at Sioux City Explorers. Not sure what the best thing to do with this one is, as I'm not sure that either potential target takes priority over the other. Hog Farm Talk 05:49, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

On its surface this is a simple {{R from other capitalization}} but the capitalized, proper noun form refers to a thermal area and a specific thermal feature in Yellowstone National Park. How best to handle this WP:DIFFCAPS situation? Keep as is, target the section at its current target, Mud volcano#Yellowstone's "Mud Volcano", or target Geothermal areas of Yellowstone#Mud Volcano and Sulphur Caldron? • Well, "Mud volcano" is a big article, while we don't have an article on "Mud Volcano", nor are we likely to (it's pretty minor I guess). My guess is that more than half of readers selecting "Mud Volcano" are looking for "Mud volcano" (no way to know either way; it's my best guess that a lot of readers are not that savvy about where differently capitalized links might lead them.) So then, I'd just keep it as a redirect to the top of "Mud volcano". But then it's just clogging up the search list. So delete.
(For anyone who is looking for "Mud Volcano" specifically, I think that Mud volcano#Yellowstone's "Mud Volcano" would be more satisfying than Geothermal areas of Yellowstone#Mud Volcano and Sulphur Caldron. So, how to get them there? I don't know. We could have a hatnote at "Mud volcano" saying "Mud Volcano redirects here; for the Yellowstone Park feature with that name, see below" or even "...see Mud volcano#Yellowstone's "Mud Volcano"" to give an easy link. But I've never seen that done, and we don't generally do things that have never been done before because someone might object on the grounds that it's never been done, and that's just a hassle.)
(A way around that would be to have the hatnote at "Mud volcano" say ""Mud Volcano redirects here; for the Yellowstone Park feature with that name, see Geothermal areas of Yellowstone#Mud Volcano and Sulphur Caldron. That's legal, but takes the reader away from the article that has the best info to a place not as good. So, legal or best? Or punt and have no hatnote, which is worse than either option I guess. But at any rate, delete the redirect.) Herostratus (talk) 03:15, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
