Ambiguous title. The "Cyberspace Administration" could refer to various topics beyond the administration of China. Utopes (talk / cont) 22:02, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. I can't find any use which doesn't relate to the PRC (Google search string 'Cyberspace Administration -china'). Narky Blert (talk) 13:07, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. I created the redirect. Almost all mentions of 'Cyberspace Administration' mean 'Cyberspace Administration of China' but many use alternative forms, such as 'China's Cyberspace Administration' or 'the national cyberspace administration', which a searcher might well reduce to the two words but would be less likely to construct the full four-word name. Therefore the redirect is useful. I do note that other, province-level, cyberspace adminstrations exist within China (eg. here), but they are a rarity and not yet mentioned in WP. The term is seemingly not applied outside of China. One day, someone may turn 'Cyberspace Administration' or 'Cyberspace administration' (lower-case a) into a disambig page, but for now it does a good job. - Onanoff (talk) 21:24, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

While Jewish Maoism would logically belong under the larger umbrella of the Jewish left, there's no discussion of it at the article, and I couldn't find relevant discussion elsewhere, so this will probably disappoint readers. BDD (talk) 21:15, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it makes any sense. The Jewish Left makes sense because there have been left-wing Jewish organizations and Jewish people who joined left-wing parties and remained a self-identified group within them, often publishing Yiddish language periodicals and holding meetings in Yiddish. But while some Jews no doubt became Maoists in the 1960s, there was no Jewish Maoism, just Maoists who happened to be Jewish. TFD (talk) 23:08, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I think what TFD said makes sense. Is Jewish Maoism a thing? A quick Google search gives just forum chat bullshit like Maybe Zionism is the Jewish Maoism in the sense you suggest. or A Jew trying to make Jews into Chinese to cover up for Jewish Maoism. LOL. --MarioGom (talk) 09:28, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Racial homogeneity

The result of the discussion was delete. I'm interpreting CoffeeWithMarket's call to write a new article about the concept as a delete vote, making this unanimous. signed, Rosguill talk 20:47, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I was looking for a discussion of racial/ethnic homogeneity and a list or discussion of which countries have more or less racial and ethnic diversity. The closest thing I've been able to find to that is Monoethnicity, but race isn't necessarily same as ethnicity, so I don't know if that's a suitable target. At this point, I'd be ok with retargeting there or deleting. (Note that the section this redirect targets is no longer there.) BDD (talk) 21:07, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment - This appears as if it needs to be its own conceptual article. There are at least three fundamental questions worth pondering. One: what exactly is 'race' in terms of a social construct today, given all that we know about human development? Two: what would make a racial group 'homogeneous' in the broad sense since, of course, people aren't milk and the definition of the term is vague? Three: given that racial groups vary in terms of the ease of which individuals are or aren't accepted into its fold, what effects are there on the lives of real people, positive or negative, of the relative homogeneity of their race? I'd be astonished if there aren't reliable sources looking at these matters from a scholarly perspective. Yes, the topic is emotionally loaded and politically radioactive, but it's also well studied. I think. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 07:13, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete to encourage article creation. I agree with CoffeeWithMarkets in that reliable sources discussing this topic shouldn't be impossible to find. Not a very active user (talk) 15:33, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No need for a misspelled redirect, especially since this overshadows the correctly spelled Shaken baby syndrome in the search box. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 19:12, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I’m not sure about deletion due to the redirect working phonetically since the e in syndrome is silent and therefore the word sounds like syn drom. I also noticed that Syndrom redirects to Syndrome since late 2018 due to the creator believing forgetting the e in syndrome was a common misspelling.--69.157.252.96 (talk) 22:15, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. Note that unless there is content worth preserving in the page's history, voting to convert to an article is a vote to delete the redirect. signed, Rosguill talk 20:56, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is a soft redirect to the Japanese article about this person, who appears to have been an early 20th century Japanese painter. I don't believe interlanguage redirects are appropriate in article space, however there is no speedy deletion criteria that applies. This should either be replaced by an English language article or deleted. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 15:25, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A discussion should be open for seven days so there is still time to do so before deletion and even if not ann article could still be created after the deletion occurs.--69.157.252.96 (talk) 22:29, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was 'delete WP:SNOW -- JHunterJ (talk) 23:00, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure why anyone would look for a page using "disambiguation" twice other than to search for Disambiguation (disambiguation), which lists uses for the term "disambiguation," leaning delete on these two redirects. Regards, SONIC678 05:28, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect was left over from a page move to the correct spelling of "disambiguation," and the link to there in Aulus Plautius was changed to reflect this move. As per the outcome of an earlier discussion concerning four redirects with this misspelling of "disambiguation", this should also be deleted. Regards, SONIC678 05:17, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Minor fictional calendar entry no longer mentioned in target article. Delete as clutter. Hog Farm (talk) 02:42, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Keep - all of these remain in the table of the months in the named section. Chiswick Chap (talk) 09:24, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was speedy keep. Withdrawn, I'm fine with the sourced mention (non-admin closure) Hog Farm (talk) 14:00, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Middle-earth inn no longer mentioned in articles, and no attribution issues with deletion, as it has always been a redirect. Deletion would be preferable so we don't give readers the impression content exists on this subject. Hog Farm (talk) 02:37, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Obscure fictional calendar item, no longer mentioned in the target article and it's removal not challenged. Also, there's doesn't appear to be a page about filth in the winter to target to. Hog Farm (talk) 02:35, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Obscure fictional month where the content has been removed from the target page and said removal was not challenged. No longer necessary, as the lack of coverage of this subject will only be confusing to readers. Hog Farm (talk) 02:33, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
