When I type this zip code into my maps app, I get Washington Square Arch, not Fred F. French Building. These two locations being on the same street in the same city seems like something rather unlikely to happen by chance, so there may be something I'm missing, but as it stands I don't see a justification for the current target, and would thus suggest redirecting to Washington Square Arch or deletion. signed, Rosguill talk 21:24, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The USPS's zip code lookup gives the zip code for 551 Fifth Avenue as 10176. Maybe the maps app is approximating and not accounting for zip codes assigned to specific buildings? Trivialist (talk) 23:54, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per WP:XY. 5-digit postal codes are not exclusive to the United States (so there could be another 10176), and we don't have redirects for every postal code in the US or elsewhere (notwithstanding notable exceptions such as 10048). I am also not convinced that there is enough to say about this number to create a disambiguation page or redirect it to 10000 (number), so delete. ComplexRational (talk) 01:08, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. According to the USPS's direct mail mapper, this zip code covers one city block. Redirecting it to one of the buildings on the block isn't appropriate, and retargeting it to Midtown Manhattan would probably be too vague. - Eureka Lott 01:08, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. According to my google.co.uk results the primary topic, by far, for this string of 5 digits is a Lego "King's Castle" special edition set. After that I just get random results, such as the 10,176th Guardian quick crossword, a bus stop in inner suburban Winnipeg, a section of the California Business and Professions Code, and a multitude of different catalogue codes. Thryduulf (talk) 01:43, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. 10176 is also the INSEE code for Jaucourt, Aube, France. Narky Blert (talk) 22:45, 9 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - I don't know how you got Washington Square Arch, because the ZIP Code 10176 is clearly assigned to the block containing the French Building, and it literally even says so on the Midtown Manhattan article (with a reference). Normally I'd lean keep because the fact that 10176 is also a code for France or a Lego set or something isn't a valid reason to delete. However, as a zip code, it's an implausible redirect because (1) most people don't search by a building by its zip code; (2) there is more than one building on that block, as EurekaLott said; and (3) it is not notable as a zip code. epicgenius (talk) 01:33, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect term as such neither mentioned in nor identical with given target. Hildeoc (talk) 20:02, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Quite true. When set up over 12 years ago it was part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles/1911 verification/O and odd things like this were deliberately included to achieve 100% coverage. Seems harmless and probably not worth interfering with either way. Glad to know that someone has the time to spot these things. S a g a C i t y (talk) 20:59, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

John D. Silva[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to John D'Silva (disambiguation). signed, Rosguill talk 23:46, 24 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. It is not clear why this redirect targets this article, and "John D. Silva" is potentially ambiguous with several other people at John D'Silva (disambiguation). Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 19:43, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • That is not a reason to delete, it's a reason to change the redirect. MPJ-DK (talk) 15:35, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@MPJ-DK:. This is a discussion: "delete" is my opinion. To what would you like it changed? Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 13:31, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Shhhnotsoloud - the DAB page you mentioned yourself. Shouldn't discussions be policy or guideline based? You made a good point that the name is ambiguous and I agree, removing it would just lead to someone else adding the redirect to a D'Sliva of their choice leading right back here. Liquid lunch[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was disambiguate. (non-admin closure) feminist (talk) 13:41, 16 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The term "Liquid lunch" is not mentioned at the target page. I would suggest retargetting this to Liquid Lunch as an {{R from other capitalisation}}. Not a very active user (talk) 11:55, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget per nom. This action did not require XfD. Chiswick Chap (talk) 12:27, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget per nom. The proposed retarget is much more appropriate. GirthSummit (blether) 13:38, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate. The wikt definition is not Drunkorexia, but those searching "liquid lunch" may not be satisfied by the song article. I suggest a disambiguation page with the wikt link and another entry: see my draft. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 20:15, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambig. None of the things listed at the draft dab or suggested here are what I would understand by the term, which is simply a large amount of alcohol consumed at lunchtime with or without accompanying food and without connotations of alcoholism. This matches the only definition given at Wiktionary: "The consumption of alcohol with no (or little) food at lunchtime". Thryduulf (talk) 01:03, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambig per Thryduulf. The proposed redirect is better than the current one, but a proper job would be even better. My understanding of the phrase matches their definition. GirthSummit (blether) 01:40, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate per above. I put Three-martini lunch in "See also"; it doesn't quite meet WP:DABMENTION but it's closer to what people are likely to be looking for than drunkorexia, anyway. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 13:36, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate for the lower-case lunch, as Liquid diet is also likely. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:13, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
