The result of the discussion was delete. Unopposed. Will note that it was created in 2007 ~ Amory (utc) 11:27, 7 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No sign that the (defunct) American Sports University was ever referred to as "Downtown University". power~enwiki (π, ν) 20:43, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled Woody Allen Project (film)[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. ~ Amory (utc) 11:27, 7 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Misleading redirect as project has a title. Many of Woody Allen's films have been referred to "Untitled Woody Allen project" before they have had titles. The undisambiguated title was deleted by discussion at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2018 April 23#Untitled Deadpool Sequel, so this might qualify for a speedy. --woodensuperman 14:32, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. Not untitled, and presumably any of Allen's other future projects might be untitled (until such time as they're given a title). – Arms & Hearts (talk) 14:41, 1 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was no consensus. No consensus after relisting. (non-admin closure) feminist (talk) 06:31, 7 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Unlikely search term with capitalized disambiguator. Version with properly capitalized disambiguator already in place. Lordtobi () 15:20, 21 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep as a harmless {{R from move}}. Thryduulf (talk) 15:23, 21 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. A subject for a redirect should be mentioned on the page it is redirected to which is not the case here. DrKilleMoff (talk) 21:36, 21 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - no need to delete because the exact wording of the disambiguation is not mentioned in the article. --Danski454 (talk) 21:41, 21 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. There was a Davidson Software in Melbourne, Australia, and an American one that made stuff called Kidworks and Math Blaster (https://www.newspapers.com/image/296202871/?terms=Davidson%2BSoftware%2BCompany). There could be more hidden away in garages or basements somewhere. BeenAroundAWhile (talk) 04:10, 24 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete for both of the above reasons, and because we do not need to inspire the idea that "(Capitalized Disambiguation Words For No Reason)" is a thing, or people are apt to start making more of them. This is a lot like the previous day's RfD on a "(u.s.)" DAB, just in the other direction.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  19:46, 24 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as Davidson (software company) exists for dab and redirect purposes. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:23, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Thryduulf. The existence of other non-notable software companies with similar names is irrelevant: we don't aim to disambiguate between every entity that exists, only between those that have Wikipedia articles. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 14:32, 26 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Thryduulf. Unless there is another primary redirect topic for the term "Davidson (software company)", this is pretty harmless. ---- Patar knight - chat/contributions 01:39, 29 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bombing out[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep. I'm closing this as keep, as I'm not convinced by the participants that there is sufficient material beyond a wiktionary link to wikt:bomb out. I'm not opposed to it being disambiguated, though, if folks can find sufficient topics. Closest I've got is Bombed Out ~ Amory (utc) 11:45, 7 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bombing out can mean many things, not only bomb cyclone. B dash (talk) 16:02, 14 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - Convert into Disambiguation Page - In this case, the page should probably be converted into a disambiguation page, with links to the multiple different meanings/uses of the word. The generality of the term does not warrant an outright deletion. LightandDark2000 (talk) 20:44, 14 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep or disambig per LightandDark2000. Thryduulf (talk) 10:13, 15 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I also support the idea that we disambiguate things. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 22:27, 16 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. The phrase is ambiguous and not mentioned in the article (nor is "bombing" or "bomb out"). I'm not sure what could be listed on a disambiguation page that would satisfy MOS:DABENTRY. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 16:40, 23 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.
Relisting comment: I'd like to see discussion of Arms & Heart's point. What might go on such a disambiguation page?
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, BDD (talk) 20:33, 23 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment we also have bombing out (meteorology) pointing to the same target; it's not ambiguous like the one in the nomination, but it has the same problem of not being mentioned at the target. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 14:15, 24 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: If it's legit meteorology jargon, maybe just find a source and add it. Or add entry for it to Glossary of meteorology and retarget to that entry. A quick G search says it's legit [1]. I would have just gone with delete-to-redlink-it-for-article-creation, but this wouldn't be an article on its own.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  19:56, 24 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.
Relisting comment: Process note: The 23rd was never transcluded on the main RfD page. Worth a relist regardless, but figured I should note that.
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, ~ Amory (utc) 11:47, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep or disambiguate. "Bomb[ing] out" is common terminology in meterorology to describe the sudden release of energy by a cyclone (I am not a meteorologist). We can also disambiguate but I'm not sure what articles we should pick to represent the more literal sense of "destroying man-made things by bomb". Deryck C. 12:18, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ignominy[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was disambiguate. Clear consensus to keep something, and the dab occupies the median, consensus position between keep, retarget to humiliation, or retarget to wiktionary. ~ Amory (utc) 11:35, 7 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please delete as redirect term does not even appear a single time within target article. Neufund (talk) 15:46, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep Ignominy is a synonym of shame and is used to get to Shame --Danski454 (talk) 22:50, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as synonymous or retarget to humiliation per those below. After some thought, I am unable to decide between the two options. Retain in some form. — Godsy (TALKCONT) 18:47, 23 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per above --Lenticel (talk) 00:42, 24 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Humiliation, which is a much closer synonym. Ignominy entails a public component, while shame is often an entirely private matter.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  19:50, 24 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Humiliation per SMcCandlish. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 22:05, 24 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Soft redirect to wikt:ignominy. Neither the current target nor humiliation is an ideal target (especially insofar as definitions seem to differ on whether ignominy is always characterised by a public component), and the reader searching for this relatively uncommon term is well served by a dictionary definition. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 15:06, 26 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Soft redirect to wikt:ignominy. Make disambiguation page as 59.149.124.29 said, if I understood correctly. I'm seeing a short definition, then the disambig items, then the see also's to near synonyms. Person looking for this is probably interested in the meaning of the word. It is not exactly the same as either humiliation or shame.(It might be even closer to "bad reputation."--But worse than that, so maybe "worst reputation.")PopSci (talk) 17:22, 26 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
"Disrepute"? PopSci (talk) 12:25, 29 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. Section no longer exists and no mention in article, and potentially ambiguous with other uses such as Apache dartship (no mention in enwiki) and Dart (ship) . Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 10:30, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • DELETE per above. Hansen SebastianTalk 12:54, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. The term isn't mentioned in the target, so the reader who searches for the term is left none the wiser as to its meaning. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 14:37, 1 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bullseye Barton[edit]

The result of the discussion was delete. ~ Amory (utc) 11:26, 7 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. Bullseye Barton is not mentioned at the target article: Bullseye is a different character from Barton. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 08:41, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak delete; Bullseye has impersonated Clint Barton on a few occasions, and some other versions of Barton have been very Bullseye&ndashlike, but I haven't seen this name at either of those subjects' articles. It's a plausible name, though. IMO, this name ultimately seems to be improper synthesis. — Mr. Guye (talk) (contribs)  02:28, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bullseye (Gobots)[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. ~ Amory (utc) 11:26, 7 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The target section does not exist and the target article has no mention of this fictional character. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 07:38, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment the section was removed in 2011. The source cited [2] barely even verified that a Gobot named Bullseye existed, and provided no detail about it. (Though, it's not any worse than sections that remain in the article, e.g. Bugsie (Gobots).) Possibly there are better sources out there, but they're really hard to find among all the fansites and retailers. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 09:21, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Not mentioned in the target (which I'd just as easily !vote to delete as well), so the redirect is useless to the reader. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 14:20, 1 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
