The result of the discussion was speedy delete WP:G7. -- Tavix (talk) 15:18, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Created by Mr. Guye last year, it doesn't seem to me that this redirect actually does anything. It doesn't actually load the discussion onto Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Sports and it is misleading to editors in that it makes an Afd appear as if it's been properly sorted somewhere, when it has not. It is not to be confused with the preexisting, functional Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Rugby union. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 19:52, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Move Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Rugby union to Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Rugby to encompass all rugby codes. -- Tavix (talk) 19:57, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy delete. I'm ok with its deletion. I don't think I knew that it wouldn't work when I created it. — Mr. Guye (talk) (contribs)  19:58, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • But Tavix, I don't think Wikipedia:WikiProject Rugby union would support such a move, as that would then lump in Rugby league on the delsorting for a different sport. I personally would like to see a single rugby delsort for all forms of rugby but I suspect the people in WikiProject Rugby union would not? Anyway, no such move should be attempted without their support. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 20:36, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've flagged this Rfd at the Wikiproject discussion page, accordingly. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 20:48, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Rugby union and rugby league are similarly named but different sports, much like football and Australian Rules Football or American football. They aren't the same sport or even "codes" of the same sport, just ones that have a common ancestor and name. I doubt anyone would suggest putting them all together?Skeene88 (talk) 11:49, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Right, I just don't see how @Tavix:'s proposal can work. Moreover, given the redirect creator's speedy delete !vote I think I will tag this db-author shortly, if no one objects. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 14:16, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. -- Tavix (talk) 17:02, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Delete I never thought I'd be back at make a RFD discussion but I found this redirect by accident. First off, who would search Thor actor? It seems like a very unlikely search term. Secondly, the Marvel Thor isn't the only character named Thor in existence far from it. So this can redirect to more than just one actor. I don't see this redirect as useful in the slightest. The result of the discussion was delete Jewishism and no consensus for Jewism. -- Tavix (talk) 17:03, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Resubmitting RFD on behalf of Fire and Magic. Note: Jewism is a protected redirect. I have no stance on this. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 06:06, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I can't imagine anyone referring to Judaism as Jewism and even more can't imagine anyone referring to Judaism as Jewishism. I think these 2 redirects are gibberish, derogatory, and non-useful. It is like calling Christianity as Christianism or Buddhism as Buddhistism. It could be taken by many as an insult or making fun of Judaism. --Fire and Magic (talk) 01:13, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep Jewism; although it's not a word, anti-Jewism is, and particularly for people for whom English isn't their first language it's a plausible search term. Delete Jewishism as an unlikely search term. Note to the OP: we don't delete redirects even when they're potentially offensive to the subject, provided they're a plausible search term. (To take a very obvious example, we have a whole slew of redirects including "Rastafarian", despite the term being grossly offensive to the Rasta community, because they're plausible search terms.) ‑ Iridescent 20:28, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps a valid {{R from redundant disambiguation}}, but I can't see readers typing in "(Re-release)". feminist 14:29, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete not part of the title, not even seen in the catalog as such. Popular albums have been re-released or reprinted without such indicators. If it differs, they would call it special edition or anniversary edition. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 05:04, 29 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Partial title match, possibly soft redirect to wikt:take the wheel, but lately I've been kind of against Wiktionary redirects due to that the internal search engine also searches Wiktionary results. Note that Take the wheel is red. - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 00:06, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Amended, I have sent {{Wiktionary redirect}} to TfD. - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 10:15, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Take the Wheel is a title for some songs by some notable artists like Steep Canyon Rangers, Jeremy Pinnell, and then albums by non-notable artists. But there are no dabmentions of the song title on those articles. It's also a book by Kristen Hall-Geisler. That leaves the PTM, which is not really a good match as the phrase without Jesus in it is not a recurring lyric in the song itself. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:40, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That might be good enough to dab then with the Carrie Underwood song as a See also AngusWOOF (barksniff) 02:48, 18 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've added those songs to the dab. Also note there's Taking the Wheel which has its own article, and placed in See Also along with Carrie Underwood's song which dominates the search results.. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:24, 18 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate per the comments by AngusWOOF. There is too much ambiguity for this redirect to point to any one page. ToThAc (talk) 22:26, 24 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
