Not a useful redirect, redirects like this are meant to be an alternative to piped linking, but since the target is a dab page, I don't see how it can be useful. - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 23:52, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. If this were Bush administrations (i.e. plural rather than possessive) then I would argue that it should be kept as ambiguous but I see no benefit to the reirect we're actually discussing. Thryduulf (talk) 00:22, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"Administrator" backwards. No links. I don't find this redirect useful. Eteled. — Godsy (TALKCONT) 23:44, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I declined it. It's not nonsense in CSD terms since we can understand it—it's simply administrator backwards. -- Tavix (talk) 23:52, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
If I came across the redirect, I would never have worked it out and immediately tagged it. - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 23:54, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
But you knew what it meant since Godsy explained it to you and you tagged it anyway... -- Tavix (talk) 23:56, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom. I would have expected this to be a redirect to something about former admins or users who do not wish to become administrators. Thryduulf (talk) 00:24, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Geraldo Pereira[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was disambiguate: an article has been created at Geraldo Rocha Pereira and disambiguation is the obvious outcome here. Closing per WP:SNOW. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 14:48, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Geraldo Dutra Pereira and Geraldo Pereira are 2 different footballers. Jakas1 (talk) 22:13, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Note: This discussion has been included in WikiProject Football's list of association football-related deletions. --BDD (talk) 15:54, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Well, both are Brazilian footballers, so I think you're right that disambiguation is going to be the outcome here. I was going to suggest creating an article at Geraldo Rocha Pereira and turning this title into a dab for the two, but you've already done the first thing so I think we're on the same page here. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 14:47, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Reverend King[edit]

The result of the discussion was wrong forum. This is a move request so belongs at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Thryduulf (talk) 00:29, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I know that anything Martin Luther King is a big deal not just for Black Americans but for civil rights movement worldwide (as an African myself I can relate with this well), but there is a Nigerian convict popularly known as Reverend King, that is his WP:COMMONNAME, anyone searching for him will enter "Reverend King" first, anyone searching for MLK is not likely to enter "Reverend King" as his first or second query. I want to request this redirect become the main title of Reverend King Ezeugo article, there can be a hat note on MLK there. I left a note on this issue on MLK talkpage but no one replied. Srebrenica Massacre of Children 1993[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete all. Thryduulf (talk) 17:05, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. The redirect is not NPOV, nor does it adhere to WP:AT. The shelling was not a deliberate massacre of children, nor were children the main victims. Reliable sources (academic, legal) predominantly use the neutral terms "shelling", "attack", but never "massacre of children" or similar. Furthermore, capitalized as such, it also reads as a movie or book. Same goes (delete) for redirects Massacre of Srebrenica schoolchildren, Srebrenica Child Massacre, Srebrenica Child Massacre 1993, Srebrenica Children Massacre and Srebrenica Children massacre, with 0 hits at Gbooks. Zoupan 16:33, 4 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment note that, per WP:RNEUTRAL redirects do not have to be NPOV nor do they have to follow WP:AT if they are useful search terms or if there are other reasons to keep. I haven't looked yet to see if such reasons exist in this case. Thryduulf (talk) 20:54, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, BDD (talk) 20:31, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete all -- I was not able to confirm that these names are valid search term for the 1993 event; in fact, usually the actual 1995 Srebrenica massacre comes up. K.e.coffman (talk) 19:04, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak keep. They're all redirects from page moves. This means that the target article had all these names at a certain point in the past, so these redirects are likely being used in external sites to link to this article. A few redirects also have internal links still (eg: Massacre of Srebrenica schoolchildren has a link from Serbia in the Yugoslav Wars), which is concrete evidence of use. I'm weak because I do sympathize with the nominator that these terms are not well used in sources. -- Tavix (talk) 14:37, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment: faulty internal link changed. indef-blocked user Bosniak created those rd's. These names are not at all (never) used in RS.--Zoupan 15:35, 23 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete all. All redirects were created by a persistently uncooperative POV warrior, who was later topic-banned via WP:ARBMAC and then indefinitely blocked for persistent violations of WP:NPOV and WP:NPA. I'm not sure that anyone other than him uses these terms for the incident described in the article, at least not in English. If someone can point me to clearly reliable sources (even in Serbo-Croatian) that use these terms, then I'd be happy to withdraw my !vote. —Psychonaut (talk) 11:04, 24 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No suitable target article Izno (talk) 11:49, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete not described at target. Is this some weird jargon? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:46, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete – "peep" is indeed some weird jargon: it is a common nickname for the tiny characters in Rollercoaster Tycoon. The term would pop up a lot when you look through early-2000s forum posts on the topic, but it never got much news coverage. I'm sure the term is used by some news organization or in some book, but it's not necessary to define it on Wikipedia in my opinion. ~Mable (chat) 18:11, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: Since this nomination, the target (RollerCoaster Tycoon (disambiguation)) has been changed to redirect to RollerCoaster Tycoon. If this is closed as "keep", the target should be changed to RollerCoaster Tycoon to avoid the double redirect. — Gorthian (talk) 17:38, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The topic goes unmentioned due to WP:GAMEGUIDE. Izno (talk) 11:45, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete not described at target. Not independently notable. This was a custom roller coaster that was shared on the Internet and has become a meme. The gimmick is that the ride never ends. [1] AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:45, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete not described at target. Not independently notable. This is another custom-built coaster. Is this meant to be notable like a Guinness World Record or something? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:46, 13 March 2017 (UTC) 15:13, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Previously targeted to the content at RollerCoaster Tycoon (video game), it's not mentioned now nor do I believe it would be appropriate to mention there per WP:GAMEGUIDE. Izno (talk) 11:33, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • This redirect and the two above indeed have little purpose now. Until the original article can be reinstated (which, of course, may never happen), I see no reason not to delete these. So yeah, delete... I disagree that WP:GAMEGUIDE is the reason however, as the subject is more related to internet culture than video game mechanics. ~Mable (chat) 12:27, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - as per nom and above editor. No purpose currently. If and when changes are made, then it might again serve a purpose. Onel5969 TT me 12:52, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Does not seem to be a valid alternative name. - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 04:24, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Note that the redirect is "Feddy", not "Freddy". -- Tavix (talk) 15:38, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - mostly nonsense. "Feddy" = short for FDR? "Feddy" = corruption of Teddy? Not useful. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 18:46, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Probably not hurting but definitely not helping. Station1 (talk) 22:35, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete no idea why I made the redirect Samir 23:23, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - I'd like to point out that on a standard QWERTY keyboard that 'F' and 'T' are adjacent to each other; so, I can see this being a typo that some people would make. However, I agree that this doesn't seem that helpful. It's not that common of a typo. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 14:37, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Prostitution in Senegal[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was procedural close. See Talk:Sex trade in Senegal#Requested move 13 March 2017 for the RM. --BDD (talk) 20:29, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Prostitution in Senegal should either be retargeted into Sex trade in Senegal or be retitled Prostitution in Senegal as it is about the same subject the sex industry in Senegal. Dwanyewest (talk) 00:11, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Dwanyewest: I fixed this nomination and Prostitution in Ghana; the link following → should be the current target. I also added notices to the redirect pages themselves. The full instructions can be viewed at WP:RFD#HOWTO. Twinkle greatly aids the process. Best Regards, — Godsy (TALKCONT) 00:59, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I really intended this article Sex trade in Senegal to be about prostitution and thought sex trade is a good a descriptor and then realized that Prostitution in Senegal would be a more appropriate title. Dwanyewest (talk) 14:51, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

In that case, this would have been better handled at requested moves. — Godsy (TALKCONT) 16:55, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'd say sex trade is indeed a subset of prostitution, which is a much more broad (and more neutral) topic. I'd be completely fine for Sex trade in Senegal to be moved to Prostitution in Senegal, but this is not the place for such discussion. Of course, the sex trade article is in heavy need of expansion regardless. ~Mable (chat) 18:14, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
