This title is restricted by the title creation blacklist since it contains at least one instance of two consecutive apostrophes. Hundreds of such redirects have been deleted in the past via WP:RFD due to the technical issues that the apostrophes cause. If the title needs to be displayed differently, it can be done via {{DISPLAYTITLE}}. (The creator of this redirect was able to create it since the editor has the Template editor permission.) Steel1943 (talk) 20:15, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete Khara Hais is stylized as //Khara Hais. [1] but it was not clear if the combination of the two regions was ever referred to as such. [2] AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:43, 9 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per WP:RFOREIGN. Portuguese is not particularly relevant to Florida. Note that this is not the Spanish spelling. Gorobay (talk) 16:21, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Retarget to Woman or Delete. For reference, Older boy doesn't exist. Steel1943 (talk) 16:15, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Just realized that this term could refer to Adolescence as well since Teenager redirects there, so delete as ambiguous. Steel1943 (talk) 16:17, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - This is way too vague. "Older", "younger", "taller", "smarter", and other such labels make sense in terms of comparisons, but just throwing them out there without context isn't right. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 10:36, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per WP:REDLINK. This reminds me of "Military governor", which used to redirect to Governor. It's what I call a condescending redirect, in that it's highly unlikely to tell a reader more than what he or she already knows given the search term. While it's conceivable that such a reader doesn't know that "coup" is shorthand for "coup d'état", it's much more likely they do know, and want to know what makes a certain coup d'état a "palace coup". The target article will not tell them. BDD (talk) 16:01, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

List of localities in Palestine 1948[edit]

The redirect isn't WP:PRECISE enough to be synonymous with its target. The target article is not about a list of localities in Palestine in 1948. Steel1943 (talk) 04:57, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. -- Notecardforfree (talk) 05:00, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Probably it should become a regular article, of which a link to the present target would cover a large number of localities. Zerotalk 10:30, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as per the above CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 10:36, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Former villages in Palestine[edit]

The result of the discussion was no consensus, default to keep. Deryck C. 12:06, 16 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Villages becoming former in Palestine most likely isn't exclusive to happening "during the Arab–Israeli conflict". Steel1943 (talk) 04:51, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. -- Notecardforfree (talk) 05:02, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Unlike the other redirect, this one is quite close to its target (better than 90%, maybe 99%). Zerotalk 10:26, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Zero0000. The "List of villages depopulated during the Arab–Israeli conflict" covers the bulk of the articles we have on no-longer existing villages in Palestine. Notable exceptions I could think of are former major towns that were destroyed/abandoned/depopulated in antiquity or the Middle Ages that were never repopulated, such as Arsuf. --Al Ameer (talk) 16:40, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - doesn't make any sense neither as redirect, nor as target.GreyShark (dibra) 16:34, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom. --BDD (talk) 15:23, 14 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Zero000. If the percentage of overlap between the two terms is that high, the redirect is likely fine and useful for readers not familiar with how list articles are named on Wikipedia. ---- Patar knight - chat/contributions 16:28, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ambiguous. Steel1943 (talk) 02:51, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. I'm sure many jamborees have been cancelled. -- Notecardforfree (talk) 03:28, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete without prejudice for an article/list. If this was the only one ever, then a redirect is appropriate. But from a search I can see many other cancellations using this term. However, instead it should be a list of the notable cancelled events. There are also such things for other clubs and sports. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 04:41, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as per the above CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 10:36, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Happily following you off topic, I think those would still qualify—they're helping certain humans, even to the detriment of others. Spy satellites would be a much more mundane example of that kind of dynamic. --BDD (talk) 19:17, 9 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
