ABBA[edit]

ABBA 2603:6011:4C03:A04F:BD57:29BD:4255:C233 (talk) 03:46, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! Do you have a question about the ABBA article or anything about Wikipedia? GoingBatty (talk) 03:55, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

My Wikipedia page disappeared[edit]

I had a Wikipedia page for a long time when suddenly my page was taken by a drag queen using my name. Since changed the spelling to a different version but if I search Venus De Light it still takes me to the drag queens page. I've been Venus De Light since 1979 and it is Federally Trademarked. I have starred in Shows around the world including the Las Vegas strip. HBOS's Real Sex 5, Playboys Girls of Rock Rock, former publisher of Cheri magazine and I don't want to put my entire CV here but you get the point. What happened to my page? 71.38.119.28 (talk) 07:14, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

are you sure this is wikipedia? there are no logs of any page named venus de light. ltbdl (talk) 07:21, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
When I search for that page I don't get redirected anywhere. That being said, looking at the deletion log, I don't see any entries for an article with that name. Broadening the search to all public logs, there are still no results so I don't see any evidence that an article with that name ever existed. See Venus D-Lite. An IP editor, presumably the same person who started this topic, tried to change it to be about Venus De Light back in 2019. Squeakachu (talk) 07:59, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The versions mentioning Venus De Light instead of Venus D-Lite were all by 71.38.79.228 and lasted for a total of 42 minutes before the page was protected due to persistent disruptive editing by the IP on 12 June 2019.[1] An article called Venus D-Lite should be about Venus D-Lite and not somebody called Venus De Light. New suggested articles can be submitted at Wikipedia:Articles for creation but it's hard to satisfy our criteria and it's strongly discouraged to write a Wikipedia:Autobiography. If an article about Venus De Light was accepted then the top of Venus D-Lite could add a link called a hatnote for readers who were looking for Venus De Light. This [2] is the best source I could find, not enough for WP:N. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 19:56, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If a user is constantly targeting a topic and trying to remove and ask for money late by contacting seperatly, how should we report them in wiki.[edit]

If a user is constantly targeting a topic and trying to remove and ask for money late by contacting seperatly, how should we report them in wiki.? Cheeku009 (talk) 08:08, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Cheeku009. This is a known scam. Please read Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Scam warning. What is the specific arricle or draft? What is the username? Cullen328 (talk) 08:14, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
dareshmohan is the user. 2406:B400:B4:3F7A:3DB4:CEE7:F9EE:EA09 (talk) 16:13, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Cheeku009 Please see Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Scam warning 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 08:15, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Cheeku009, please be aware that User:DareshMohan has 45,000 edits over two years and has never been blocked. The most plausible explanation is that a scammer is impersonating that editor. Cullen328 (talk) 17:24, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Graphs[edit]

I may be a bit lazy in asking instead of searching for it, but is the issue with the graphs closer to being sorted, or have they been abandoned indefinitely? ValenciaThunderbolt (talk) 16:31, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

See Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)/Archive 207#Are all the graphs still busted or what? PrimeHunter (talk) 16:59, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Contacting the police in Thailand[edit]

I want to contact the Crime Suppression Division of The Royal Thai Police in Thailand Kagher (talk) 19:17, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't a general help desk, this is for asking Wikipedia questions. I suggest you use your preferred search engine to locate contact information for the Thai authorities. 331dot (talk) 19:19, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Adding Robert Eckels to South Texas College of Law Houston[edit]

How do I add Robert Eckels as a Notable Alumni of South Texas College of Law Houston? He does not have a Wikipedia page, but he has a page on conservapedia, plus his career is noted in several mainstream publications. He is a former State Representative of the Texas House of Representatives, and is a former County Judge of Harris County, Texas. Lowerportcaddo2023 (talk) 19:42, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There first needs to be a Wikipedia article(the preferred term, not the broader "page") about him before he can be added to any lists. If he was a state representative he would meet WP:NPOLITICIAN so as long as you have sources to summarize it shouldn't be too hard to create an article. 331dot (talk) 19:48, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Very helpful. Lowerportcaddo2023 (talk) 02:52, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Lowerportcaddo2023: While Wikipedia does have criteria for inclusion called "notability", having an article on Conservapedia (or any other wiki) does not matter here. For more information about creating an article here, see Help:Your first article. GoingBatty (talk) 02:14, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Very helpful. I’ll check out GoingBatty. Lowerportcaddo2023 (talk) 02:53, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've started the barest of stubs on Eckels. Apparently Conservapedia doesn't allow access to the source code for their articles, so I wasn't able to mine the sources. That's okay, since a lot of those sources are not of a quality useful for a Wikipedia article. --Orange Mike | Talk 00:42, 12 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
