new password request goes to old email no longer accessable[edit]

Wikipedia recognizes my username but the email I used when I signed up is long gone. Is there any way to get my password reset to my current email address? 2601:246:4:2C40:0:0:0:9808 (talk) 01:16, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not unless you log in first. (Yes, we realise this is a key-locked-in-chest scenario, albeit one that is very avoidable.) —Jéské Couriano v^_^v a little blue Bori 01:28, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Quisqualis doesn't seem confused to me, 0mtwb9gd5wx. Just reread and digest what Quisqualis has kindly written for you on User talk:0mtwb9gd5wx. -- Hoary (talk) 07:26, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
0mtwb9gd5wx, the material you have been adding appears to violate WP:CRYSTAL. Moreover it refers to "today", without specifying what day is meant. Maproom (talk) 09:01, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

better shows the edit, there is no "today" in the added content. WP:CRYSTAL is off-topic for a paraphrase of 2 press releases, and a news report of more doses ordered being more specific than whatever was alleged by https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2022/06/28/fact-sheet-biden-harris-administrations-monkeypox-outbreak-response/ ... 0mtwb9gd5wx (talk) 15:56, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ref error at Gaia DR3[edit]

Greetings, can anyone fix the red error at TRAPPIST-1? It seems to go back to this edit. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 11:24, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Jo-Jo Eumerus, I have reinstated the material that was removed in the edit you linked. If that makes things worse, please revert my edit. TSventon (talk) 15:04, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Census Year of 2069, Dinosaur, Colorado[edit]

I noticed on the Demographics area for Dinosaur, Colorado, that the Census Year of 2069 is listed. Can't be 2069, we're only in 2022. Might want to correct that year.

Thanks! 38.80.172.2 (talk) 14:43, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, it looks like the page was vandalized to include the incorrect date a few months ago. I've gone and fixed it, nice catch. WelpThatWorked (talk) 15:03, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

problem with a gallery and my Wikipedia page[edit]

Hello,

I have been trying to create a gallery on my page Ivon Skula.

There's no option on how to replace it into a different spot and also I couldn't post my photo to which I have the full copyright?

How do I declare my Ivon Skula Wiki page, please?

Please, advise fast. Many thanks. Ivon Skula ElephZenRed (talk) 18:00, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@ElephZenRed - You seem to be operating under the mistaken impression that a Wikipedia article about you is somehow your page. It is not. I have left some information about managing a conflict of interest on your user talk page. Please read it. Also, please read the essay Wikipedia:An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing.
Regarding adding photos, you would need to upload them via the link in the left sidebar before you can add them to the article. Help:Pictures has helpful instructions on how to add them to articles. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 18:15, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. The draft you were working on about yourself has been deleted because Wikipedia is not the place to advertise or promote yourself. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 18:16, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism help request from 216.239.94.177[edit]

I have noticed some vandalism at Feed Your Head. Namely, on 11 January 2022‎ Sceasary falsely asserted that the phrase "is a quote from Lewis Carroll book Alice in wonderland". It is not. The phrase appears nowhere in Carroll's work. Would an editor please assist me with fixing it? Thank you, 216.239.94.177 (talk) 19:29, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That is not vandalism but more likely a WP:AGF edit. If you think it is incorrect you can just remove it but expalin your reasoning in the edit summary or at the talk page. FWIW it is my understanding that it is not a direct quote from Carroll but a line invented by Grace Slick when writing "White Rabbit". Eagleash (talk) 19:49, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
"White Rabbit", of course, using Carroll's works as its main thematic inspiration.Jéské Couriano v^_^v a little blue Bori 21:16, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, leading people to incorrectly believe that 'feed your head' was in fact taken from his works. Eagleash (talk) 21:20, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Chrome mobile issue[edit]

For some reason within the last few hours when I load a Wikipedia page using Chrome on my mobile device, the page appears bigger than my screen. I can easily zoom it back down, but I didn't have to do this before. I don't think I changed any settings. Any ideas? 331dot (talk) 21:45, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder if WP:VPT might be a better venue for this issue. They have been very helpful for me in the past when having weird issues like this. Beeblebrox (talk) 22:55, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, will do. 331dot (talk) 00:27, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Can I enter in Wikipedia in english a voice/entry/profile which has been deleted in italian language?[edit]

Can I enter a "voice"/"entry"/"profile" in another language which has been deleted on Wikipedia in italian language? Or is that considered vandalism? Thanks. Guido Micaelico (talk) 22:22, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

By " "voice"/"entry"/"profile"" do you mean an article? If so, it would not be considered vandalsim to re-submit it here, each project makes its own rules. It does need to be in English, and you would probably need to to submit it as a draft. Beeblebrox (talk) 22:26, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
By "voice"/"entry"/"profile" I mean an article, a page on an author, a philosopher, a writer, a concept or a historical event, eccetera.
May I do it then? Guido Micaelico (talk) 22:32, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Provided the subject of your proposed article meets English Wikipedia's criteria for notability, you may attempt to create it. I very strongly advise you to read your first article carefully, and then to use the articles for creation process to create a draft. ColinFine (talk) 22:49, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The English Wikipedia and Italian Wikipedia are different communities with different rules and standards, as I believe you have already been told by an Italian Wikipedian. In most cases, the English Wikipedia is more strict than other language Wikipedias about what articles we consider notable. We only host articles on topics that have received significant attention in independent, reliable sources. What was the article and why was it deleted on the Italian Wikipedia? — Bilorv (talk) 22:49, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
