@Lohphat: There's a disclaimer at the top of that page stating "This is just a prototype of tag-based navigation on Wikipedia. Visit Wikipedia for the online encyclopedia." It seems to be only one article (from 28 April 2009) with no way to navigate to another article. GoingBatty (talk) 02:05, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
There are plenty of pages, accessible from [1]. However, it is not possible to edit pages, create new pages, or view page histories. JIP | Talk 17:07, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Not everyone likes tag clouds, but I find that quite interesting. Patrolling for tag vandalism in a production system may be a challenge though. ⁓ Pelagicmessages ) 08:01, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Moving a Draft page[edit]

Is it possible to move a Draft page created by other editor? How? Is it will be Wikipedia policy violation? — Preceding unsigned comment added by ItsL2Mx (talkcontribs)

ItsL2Mx, If you believe that a draft you did not create is ready for submission and has no issues, you may submit it to AFC. It's not typical, but not against the rules, either. As for moving it into mainspace, that would depend on your level of experience. It is always wise to notify the creator of your intentions, in case they want to give you some input.
As I note that you have 9 edits over one day, you definitely lack the experience to be WP:autoconfirmed and make the move. What other Wikipedia history do you have? Please read WP:AFC and Wikipedia:Drafts#Publishing_a_draft--Quisqualis (talk) 04:44, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) @ItsL2Mx: As with most things in life, it depends on the details. For example, if you moved Draft:Jithu s to Draft:Jithu S to fix the capitalization, that would probably be fine. However, if you moved Draft:Jithu s to articlespace, that would be inappropriate because the draft has no references. You could also talk with the other editor on their user talk page or the draft talk page. GoingBatty (talk) 04:46, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Fair Use Image Request[edit]

Well... I just would like to use image on Disaster Girl, so I clicked "Make a new request" button in Wikipedia:Files for upload page, but it is linked Wikipedia:Files for upload/Wizard, not shows request form. I already uploaded File:Disaster Girl.jpg, how could I request to pass on that? I do not know how to proceed it. Reiro (talk) 07:09, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Reiro: no new upload is needed: the file is already available, so just use it. No additional justification is needed on the file's description page in this case, since the proposed use in the Disaster Girl article is already mentioned. If you wish to use it a different article, you will need to edit the file's description page to add a separate justification: do this using the edit tabs on the description page, just as you would on any page. To actually use the file in the article, add the file syntax [[:File:Disaster Girl.jpg]] to the article. -Arch dude (talk) 14:31, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Arch dude: Thank you so much:) Reiro (talk) 03:52, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

We don't have an article about Pradeep Rai. What is your question? If you think an article should be created, see WP:Your first article. Joseph2302 (talk) 10:00, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
There was a previous article, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pradeep Rai, but not clear whether this is the same person. --David Biddulph (talk) 12:39, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I can view the deleted version. The OP basically copied the lead paragraph of that article into this section. So yes, it's the same person. It seems that the question is likely about why the article is no longer there. And the answer is at the AFD link in the previous comment. ~Anachronist (talk) 18:48, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"Committed Suicide" vs. "Died by Suicide"[edit]

I believe that I saw that there was a policy in favor of "Died by Suicide" over "Committed Suicide" but I can't find it. Help?Naraht (talk) 13:34, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unless there's been another RFC since January: It's not policy. See Wikipedia:Village_pump_(policy)/Archive_164#Discussion_("committed_suicide") - X201 (talk) 13:57, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I've found an IP Editor who is blanket changing articles from "Died by Suicide" to "Comitted Suicide", Special:Contributions/24.34.100.64 Other users and myself have asked on the IP editor's talk page, other than that, ideas?Naraht (talk) 14:05, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Five days between being alerted to it. No communication or cessation of edits when told it's wrong. I'd kick it upstairs and ask for admin advice at WP:ANI The RFC urged editors to not "...tendentiously remove "commit suicide"", so the reverse, tendentiously adding it, must also be true. - X201 (talk) 14:49, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Tendentiously using proper English instead of an ugly neologism? God forbid! DuncanHill (talk) 14:59, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Help with edits[edit]

Hi, I'm trying to edit the 'digital medicine' entry. It keeps getting refused. Please help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Digitalmedicine1 (talkcontribs) 13:58, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You have made no previous edits from your account. Are you referring to the IP edits which received a warning at User talk:73.27.87.111? --David Biddulph (talk) 14:03, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Digitalmedicine1 Assuming you are talking about recent edits at [2][3], start with talking to the editor who reverted you, Padgriffin. Guidance at this link: WP:BRD. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 14:08, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Digitalmedicine1: Assuming that you are 73.27.87.111, your first edit to Digital Medicine consisted of a blatant copyright violation (Wikipedia does not allow copy-and-pasting from other sites) and the second edit was a copy-and-paste page move. Both are against policy and were reverted. Padgriffin Griffin's Nest 14:13, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Truman[edit]

I don't know how to put in the cite for what I have added: https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2021/07/the-truman-show.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by Frodeman (talkcontribs) 14:45, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Frodeman: I added a few more parameters to the {{cite news}} template for you at Harry S. Truman. (Please remember to sign your posts on talk pages by typing four keyboard tildes like this: ~~~~. Or, you can use the [ reply ] button, which automatically signs posts.) GoingBatty (talk) 15:50, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Too hard to edit[edit]

You guys have made it too difficult to edit articles. I wanted to add singer to the Clint Eastwood article and the directions make no sense.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Wolfmanmos (talkcontribs)

Wolfmanmos Which directions are you following? Editing an article is not that different from editing this page. You may want to try the new user tutorial. 331dot (talk) 22:10, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Wolfmanmos If you don't have the time or inclination to learn how to edit, then just add a section to the article's talk page to request that somebody else make the edit. You must provide a reference to a published source for the information, but don't worry about the format for the reference as long as another editor will have some way to find it.-Arch dude (talk) 22:11, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am Karan Kundra[edit]

I am Karan Kundra and I have updated my last name to Karan Kundrra please note this is my page and I am the owner of this page. Please email or message me if you need proof.

Hello,

I wanted to update my page but its not allowing me to change my photo and also my name - I am Karan Kundra but have added double "rr" to my last name.

I also would like to update my photo - but not sure how to do that.

I have reviewed the information and not sure who made my page but would like to make updates. Below is my most recently interview with the new last name.

KaranKundrra It is not your "page", but a Wikipedia article about you. You do not own it, see WP:OWN, but you are welcome to request the correction of errors by making a formal edit request(click for instructions) on the article talk page. 331dot (talk) 00:20, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Since we don't yet know whether this account is the real Karan Kundr(r)a, the account has been blocked so that identity may be established. --Orange Mike | Talk 00:22, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@KaranKundrra: We will not e-mail you. You will need to find a published reliable source that uses your new name, and use that source as a reference. -Arch dude (talk) 01:07, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I just found this TOI article from way back in 2016. Off I go to update Karan Kundra. "Karan Kundra changes his name". The Times of India. 30 December 2016. Retrieved 28 July 2021.
Karan, to upload a new photo, you will need to get the copyright holder (usually the photographer, not you) to release it under a free license. Easiest ways are either to have them upload it to Wikipedia Commons, or post it elsewhere online with a clear statement that it's CC-BY-SA or similar. ⁓ Pelagicmessages ) 09:11, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
