Please post your suggestions on the article's talk page, along with citations to reliable sources. RudolfRed (talk) 01:46, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You should not be posting this because Mr Dice told you to come here. Read WP:MEAT Legacypac (talk) 01:57, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

North Korea[edit]

SOmeone as erroneously written that North Korea is 1.200.000 square km in area in the infobox of the article for North Korea. It is obviosly wrong. Should I correct it outright? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Soccererer (talkcontribs) 01:14, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. A user had vandalized the page, and I have now restored it to the last good version. L293D ( • ) 01:37, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Help:Cite errors/Cite error included ref[edit]

— Preceding unsigned comment added by Mpho Snail (talkcontribs) 12:51, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

 Done
@Mpho Snail: With this edit you removed a reference but left the opening ref tag in place, thus causing the error message. Please provide a link to a page where you are encountering difficulty. Please remember to sign your posts on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~). Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 13:15, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The Image I want to use for a page[edit]

So the image I want to upload is of RAF Pilot Tadeusz Kotz but I'm not entirely sure if the image can be used it is from polishairforce.pl . — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jediaj02 (talkcontribs) 13:43, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Interview as reference[edit]

Hey all, for those of you who have stellar familiarity with BLP editing, please see Talk:Karan_Aujla#Youtube interview. The issue is this: There is an interview on YouTube from which some editors wish to derive information. However, that YouTube interview is not on a verified channel, so there is a risk that it is a copyright violation. What do you typically do in this case? Let's say the article subject says in the video "I was born on DD/MM/YYYY." Do you update the article with the information and omit the source (probably not), or ignore the content until you can find a more stable source? Seems like if the content is verifiable, it can be included, but I'm never a fan of not including a reference. If you are so inclined to leave some advice at the discussion, I would appreciate it. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:41, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notices on page[edit]

Hi all editors,

I published https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akancha_Srivastava_Foundation and corrected duly by one of the editor. Now there are still 2 notices which now seems not right for the page. How should I remove the notice? I wrote to the contributor who flagged it with notice but he's not replying. Kindly please enlighten. I am a learner. We would like to be included in Wikipedia[edit]

Hello, We would like to be included in Wikipedia and come up in Wikipedia when someone does a search for services/products that we offer. How do we go about it? I appreciate your help.

Best wishes, Mariza CEMTEK KVB-Enertec — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.7.97.20 (talk) 18:01, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi 207.7.97.20. Wikipedia is not a trade directory or a publicity medium, but if your company has been written about at length in independent WP:Reliable sources, then you could request an entry at Wikipedia:Requested articles. The content should be a summary of what the sources say, and might be good or bad. The article will not be under the control of your company. Dbfirs 18:07, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hello 207.7.97.20. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and as an encyclopedia Wikipedia is only interested in what independent reliable sources state about article subjects that meet Wikipedia's special definition of notability; for companies, that is written at WP:ORG. Wikipedia has no interest in your company's internet presence, search results related to your company, or what it wants to say about itself. Note that a Wikipedia article is not necessarily desirable(click those words to read more); anything good or bad can be in a Wikipedia article as long as it appears in an independent source. 331dot (talk) 19:22, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Harry Robertson[edit]

I created a wiki article for Harry Robertson, painter. When I google "Harry Robertson, painter wikipedia" it shows a link to "Template:Harry Robertson (painter) - Wikipedia" and it still says "draft" in the link. But when I go to the page within Wikipedia and ask to move it, it is already an article. What did I do wrong and how do I get the "Template" and "draft" verbage removed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Clquinn (talkcontribs) 19:01, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Clquinn: The page Harry Robertson (painter) is now in the main space. Search engines like Google do not index Wikipedia articles until they are formally reviewed, which someone following the New pages feed will eventually do. Once that occurs, it typically takes some time for Google to then index it. 331dot (talk) 19:26, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Remove double boldface in transclusion[edit]

Hello verybody! How can I fix the typography in Portal:Peru, section "In the news", by making the link 2019 Abancay landslide included within the current transclusion be displayed, if at all, then in regular instead of double boldface, as is presently the case? Is boldface actually appropriate here? Grateful for any support,--Hildeoc (talk) 19:46, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean by "double bold face"? Ruslik_Zero 07:57, 16 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I've posted about this at Template talk:Transclude selected current events#Double bolding. Hopefully a LUA expert can sort this out. -- John of Reading (talk) 08:31, 16 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Updating my Boss's Wikipedia Page[edit]

Hello!

I work as an assistant to filmmaker Mathew Cullen, and I've been trying to update his personal Wikipedia page with information that he's created and asked me to implement - all of it factual and of a personal nature regarding his career and his feature film, London Fields.

I spent considerable time and effort yesterday trying to make these additions, only to have someone remove them - why is this happening? — Preceding unsigned comment added by MovieMan2019 (talkcontribs) 20:19, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

MovieMan2019, Per WP:COI We do not allow edits that come from a biased source. The things you added were also excessive and unsourced, leading to their deletion. Try starting a discussion on the Talk Page to determine what should be added, and to get someone uninvolved to add them. Good luck! WelpThatWorked (talk) 20:26, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
MovieMan2019 If you are editing for your boss, you are required by Wikipedia's Terms of Use to review and comply with the paid editing policy as well. 331dot (talk) 11:05, 16 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Credible Sourcing[edit]

Hello! I wanted to know if a company founder's LinkedIn profile can be used as a credible source (i.e for education)? Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by ZoeShanks (talkcontribs) 20:30, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@ZoeShanks: See WP:ABOUTSELF. A LinkedIn profile is just what that person says about themselves so it's not necessarily verified. It can never be used to establish notability (which is required for all new articles). Ian.thomson (talk) 21:14, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

IP ban please[edit]

I am a student at a school in Idaho, which the other students have discovered that they can edit any page and have done vandalism as of late. I want to propose an edit ban for our IP so that they stop interfering with our important site. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.222.120.153 (talk) 20:52, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

We don't proactively block like that. If you have some examples of vandalism you can show then it be looked at. RudolfRed (talk) 21:00, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
-Alright, If that's the case I'll try to ignore the edits. Thank you for letting me know. One kid today has been editing multiple pages today and it kind of upset me to see them bothering the site, the people on this site are amazing and I hate the disrespect they are showing.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.222.120.153 (talkcontribs)
Again, could you point to some examples of vandalism that we might look at? For example, giving us the title of an article they're vandalizing, or even providing a WP:DIFF? Just saying it's happening doesn't really help, there's always vandalism happening somewhere. Ian.thomson (talk) 21:12, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I clicked on the IP's contributions and saw a couple of items that have already been reverted. [[1]] [[2]] [[3]] Probably worth a warning but that won't likely change anything as long as the students are goofing around. TimTempleton (talk) (cont) 21:18, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I reported the IP, but an admin said that the IP didn't vandalize enough for being blocked. At least I tried.--SirEdimon (talk) 23:17, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

First post[edit]

Hi, I'm posting my first Wiki page/article. How do I get this to be visible on public Wikipedia? See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Diane_Orentlicher — Preceding unsigned comment added by Emlec (talkcontribs) 21:03, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Lara Trump's maiden name[edit]

Her bio says born Burgess. But it also says née Yunaska. Seems like a mistake, but I'm not an editor. If it's correct, just ignore this and sorry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8804:4902:3A20:E8E4:6C73:3164:5737 (talk) 21:44, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
