Declined. Not a single one of those articles has a source indicating that person's descent. The Pang brothers seem to actually be of Chinese descent. The other three are members of the same family, and while one ancestor seems to have been Thai, I doubt that's sufficient to categorize them so in the absence of reliable sources to that effect. The Titanic Festival of Creative Arts 2012 is a “mini-festival” of new art commissioned with funds provided by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. The focus of the festival is Philip Hammond’s new “REQUIEM FOR THE LOST SOULS OF THE TITANIC” The “Requiem for the Lost Souls of the Titanic” is the final event in this “mini-festival” series of new art which will take place in Belfast in April 2012. The performance has been specially funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, the Northern Ireland Tourist Board Events Fund and the PRS Fund for Music, with sponsorship from Harland & Wolff and Power NI. The requiem will be premiered on the night of the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic and it commemorates the tragic loss of over 1,500 lives. Composer Dr Philip Hammond speaking about the requiem said, “The requiem will involve several conductors, four choirs (Belfast Philharmonic Society, Cappella Caeciliana, ScholaCantorum of St.Peter’s Cathedral Belfast and the famous Dublin based choir Anuna), Belfast born mezzo soprano Jacqueline Horner who sings with the internationally acclaimed Anonymous Four based in America, all accompanied by the Downshire Brass Band from Belfast. The Requiem will also feature readings specially commissioned from Glenn Patterson which will be complemented by a set of musical “meditations” which I have written for The Fidelio Trio. All in all, there will be almost two hundred musicians taking part in this performance.” The Titanic Festival of Creative Arts also includes performances in other arts disciplines. “A Better Boy” is a newly commissioned one-man play from one of the leading Titanic experts, James Wilson Foster. Formerly Professor of English in the University of British Columbia, Jack has in retirement moved back to his native Northern Ireland. This play will be his first essay on stage and will be staged by Kabosh at the Belfast Barge, Belfast. A newly commissioned play involving the Lyric Theatre and offering an opportunity for an outreach project for schools in Belfast has been written by playwright Rosemary Jenkinson. “The White Star of the North” is based on the theme of emigration in the early nineteen hundreds- specifically 1912 - as the north of Ireland tries to maintain its political and social status quo. A newly commissioned song cycle from Belfast composer David Byers will form the centrepiece of an evening of music from the Edwardian Era – which will also include numbers that would have been in the repertoire of the musicians on board the Titanic. Belfast born musician Una Hunt is designing and performing this programme with two young Irish singers. The venue is the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland, a new building in the Titanic Quarter, on Thursday 12th April. Before that recital, in the atrium of the new PRONI building, a specially written and devised series of tableaux based on the historical relationship between the docks and the shipyards of Belfast will be performed by Music Theatre 4 Youth in words, music and dance. A special Titanic Toasts art exhibition will take place between 10 April and 11 May at the Golden Thread Gallery. Curated by Peter Richards, it will feature two artists living and working in Belfast – American born Sara Greavu and Omagh born Phil Hession. Speaking at the launch of the festival Dick Mackenzie, chairman of Belfast Titanic Company said, “This festival seeks to reflect the huge creative energy that drove the people of Belfast in the first decade of the twentieth century in industrial terms and which now continues to permeate the arts in this small part of the world. We have designed the programme to act as a commemoration for those who lost their lives in April 1912. ”

Once more very few sources. A few of the Hoa could arguably slip by, but none of the other members of the proposed subcategories had a single source for his or her descent. Try finding reliable sources first, and ask for categories when enough articles show why they should be so classified. They're meant to be fed into Category:People of Chinese descent and Category:People of Cantonese descent respectively. The way that Hong Kong is part of the PRC is as much as the Falklands, Gibraltar and the Isle of Man are to the UK, or Puerto Rico or USVI are to the United States. More to the point, according to our article "an expatriate is a person temporarily or permanently residing in a country and culture other than that of the person's upbringing." Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), was born on September 17, 1953 in the port city of Karachi. His father Nazir Hussain and his mother Khurshid Begum both belonged to a religious family of Aghra, a very prominent City in India. His Grand-father Mufti Muhammad Ramzan was Mufti of the City of Aghra. He was a great Islamic scholar. His mother and his maternal Grandfather, Haji Hafiz Raheem Buxsh also belonged to a well-known religious and honorable family of Aghra.

After the creation of Pakistan on August 14, 1947, his whole family migrated from India to Pakistan and settled in a lower middle-class neighborhood of "Ibn-e-sena line" in Karachi. Mr. Altaf Hussain's father died on March 13th, 1967 and mother died on December 5, 1985.

After getting his primary and secondary education from Government schools, as the family could not afford private schooling, he joined compulsory National Cadet Service Scheme. After being selected for training he was assigned in 57 Balochistan Regiment as soldier # 2642671 and sent to war in former East Pakistan. After the war was over, he willfully wanted to join the regular army, although being cleared all the tests and interviews he was rejected from the army because he was a “ Mohajir “ (a son of an Immigrant). He then joined Karachi University in the faculty of Pharmacy. During his stay at the University he felt a vacuum in student politics for the sons and daughters of Urdu-speaking immigrants. So in 1978, he along with some of his classmates founded All Pakistan Mohajir Student Organization (APMSO). It is said that this was the turning point in the student politics of Pakistan. APMSO gained momentum like wild fire in the colleges of Karachi, as if this platform was eagerly awaited and finally this student movement transpired into MQM of Mohajir Quami Movement by 1986.

Altaf Hussain in his mid twenties not only saw and felt the unfairness of the admission policies in schools but also in the broader spectrum he saw and felt the unfair feudal framework consisting of only 2% of the elites who were busy in writing the faith of 98% of the middle and lower middle classes of the country. In general, a son of an immigrant started a struggle of awareness against the unfair feudal system of Pakistan. How dare a harmonic system of elites who were systematically and methodically dislodging the wealth of the people of Pakistan being challenged by a son of an immigrant, how dare a son of an immigrant starts raising his head and voice of those 98% who have been working hard but disregarded and ignored, this was the mother of all the sins of the century, and sinner must be punished so at the day break of June 19th, 1992, young workers of MQM started getting punished by the elite forces of the country and by the time dust settled in 1996, twelve thousand families were either waiting for their young sons to return back to them or they were hoping for some justice from God.

Mr. Altaf Hussain established a political party representing lower- and middle-class population of Pakistan. First time in the history of the country lower middle-class gained access, through the MQM platform, by being elected for National and Provincial assemblies of Pakistan.

The most interesting phenomenon was that nobody from either sides of Altaf Hussain’s families were politicians or close to politics. Now MQM led by its founder and leader Mr. Altaf Hussain is the third largest political party of Pakistan and the second largest political party in the Southern Province of Sindh. Unlike the leaders of various political parties of Pakistan and their families, neither Altaf Hussain nor any of his relatives were ever seen contesting for any political office in Pakistan.

Altaf Hussain came from a family of seven brothers and four sisters. His elder brother, Nasir Hussain was a government employee and was allotted a small quarter on Jahangir Road, where the whole family was moved from Ibin-e-sena lines. In early 1970's Mr. Altaf Hussain and his family shifted to a small house of 120 sq yards (1,080 sq.ft.) in Azizabad, Karachi. This small house later became the party Head Quarter of MQM and presently known as Nine Zero.

On December 5, 1995, during Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) government, Nasir Hussain , 66, and his son Arif Hussain, 28, were arrested from their home by police on unknown charges and were found brutally murdered on December 9, 1995. Their tortured and mutilated bodies were thrown in a remote area of Karachi.

Altaf Hussain now lives in London, where party workers would like to see him insulated from the death squads of Pakistan, But Mr. Hussain is by no means isolated from his workers. He not only directs and controls the direction of the movement but is also in a very close contact with his people - the people of Pakistan

Please actually read the articles. 3 of the 4 above do indeed mention this in the article. GT5 even has a large section saying how it broke all sales records!! You want sources? I'll add them. I can't believe your reason for declining the creation of a category was simply lack of sources on arbitrarily picked articles...

GT5 mentions that 100 UK stores opened at midnight on the release day. It mentions that it was no. 1 in Japan. It has a reference for achieveing record sales in Finland. It mentions that it was the "best selling PlayStation 3 exclusive in Europe, including UK", and that the franchise is the highest-selling PlayStation-exclusive franchise of all time. None of that amounts to "Number-one video game in the UK". It has a succession box claiming it was number one in the UK for two weeks which I have indeed missed, but that is unsourced.

Power Drift was the "UK number-one Spectrum game" of January 1990, which does not make it the number-one video game.

Streets of Rage does not mention anything at all about being number one or about the UK.

Monty on the Run also was "UK number-one Spectrum game" (February 1986 this time), but again no indication that it actually was the number-one video game.

I suspect that for most of that time no general video game charts existed, which would make sourcing a game as "number-one video game" exceedingly difficult if not impossible. Hard as it may be to believe, I do expect a number of reliably sourced articles that clearly belong into the category before I create it. Again, your decision seems to be based on specific examples, rather than the principle. If you think the idea of the category would be useful, then you can have no objection to setting it up.

There is an industry-published independent videogames chart dating back to the 8-bit days. This is beyond dispute. Your bugbear seems to be sources, even though they are not used for music albums or singles. In any case, they are available going back at least as far as September 1983, being printed in the longest running videogames source there is.^[1] More recently (ie constantly since the 90s), a number of games charts are published in several of the world's most read daily newspapers.

So just to repeat - data is not an issue, and will be provided once articles are added to the category. but since it really seems to matter to you - In the case of all four games above, they were both number one in at least one of their formats, . On advice from other authors, it's best to have a more general (less specific) title for the category, and that's why formats like Spectrum/Megadrive/PlayStation have been missed out, meaning that we don't need a dozen categories, and therefore all qualifying games can be included.

Before his death in 1990, he served his 30,000-member Original Church of God denomination as its international bishop.

Speights began preaching at age 18, and in 1937 was assistant pastor at a church in Nashville, Tenn., while working in a hospital. He also preached in Springfield, Tenn., and worked in Indianapolis before marrying in 1940 in Nashville.

In 1941, Speights and his wife came to Battle Creek on an evangelistic tour. He found work at then-Camp Custer’s Station Hospital, and later worked at the old Percy Jones Army Hospital.

Speights became pastor of Upton Avenue Original Church of God at its original location on Hamblin Avenue. He also was placed in charge of prayer ceremonies and invocations at what is now the Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center.

He retired in 1975 as a Defense Property Disposal Service retaliation specialist at the Federal Center after 33 years of governmental service. Shortly after, his denomination asked him to become bishop.

Speights also was active in the NAACP, the Battle Creek Urban League, the Association of Attending Clergy, Forward in Faith Ministerial Association and the Holiness Association. He also was a founder and vice president of the United Community Ministerial Alliance of black churches.

In 1978, Speights was named Man of the Year at the annual Sojourner Truth Luncheon sponsored by the Battle Creek chapter of the National Negro Business and Professional Women’s Association.

In 1989, a special celebration at the Upton Avenue church was held to honor his 45 years as pastor there.

In late October 1990, Speights died while visiting church headquarters in Nashville, Tenn.

Suzan Mutesi Mufumbiro,Originally from Uganda, is one of the top African Australian Fashion Designers. After making the move to Australia to complete high school, Mutesi’s passion only grew stronger. Her Spring/Summer 2012 collection illustrates this thought process through a medley of ethnic prints. The new line features cocktail, black-tie and red carpet creations including backless silk gowns and short strapless styles in bright colours and prints, as well as the odd jacket and pants in dynamic hues.

Mutesi, the founder of the Fashion label Achea-Mpong has been an influential role model in the African Australian community. She participated in a fashion show at the Raw Charity event by helping to raise money for children in Rwanda. Her African embroidered evening dress made top page in the MX newspaper around Australia on the 7th October 2011,She was classified as a world class designer. She also designed a dress for Miss World contestant Sheron Sultan which appeared in African Times Magazine.

The young talented designer also designed for Sophia in the group Three Wishes on X -Factor 2011 on the 14/11/11. Mutesi also embraced the 2011 AAMA awards by show casing her beautifulcollection and also presented awards to icons like Awiro Ngoma. Checkers is one of the oldest and most popular board games. Now you can play against other people over the Internet.

Rules and Basics

The object

Capture all your opponent's checkers, or block all your opponent's legal moves.

The board

Checkers is played on a board of 64 squares. One side plays red, the other white. Pieces move only on the dark squares.

How to play

Moving checkers

Red always moves first, and turns alternate for the rest of the game.

When it's your turn, click a checker, and then click the square where you want to place it.

You must move forward into an unoccupied space, either by moving diagonally one space or by jumping an opponent's piece. (Windows doesn't allow illegal moves.)

Capturing checkers

You capture a checker by jumping it.

Jumps are possible when an enemy piece is in an adjacent square, and an empty space is directly opposite. If a jump is available, you must take it. Windows won't allow other moves.

If your opponent's checkers are spaced properly, you can jump multiple pieces during a single move. But you must execute one jump at a time with your mouse.

"King me"

When a checker reaches the opposite side of the board, it gets crowned and becomes a king. A king can move diagonally forward or backward.

Ending a game

A game can end in two ways.

You can offer a draw by clicking the Draw button or pressing Alt+D. A draw is a tie game. If your opponent accepts the offer, a "Draw" message appears and the game ends. If your opponent refuses, the game continues.

You can also resign. If you resign, your opponent wins. To resign, click the Resign button or press Alt+R.

When a game ends, you can play the same person again, or you can play someone else by clicking the Game menu, and then clicking Find New Opponent.

Hints and tips

Give 'em a nudge. Is your opponent intentionally stalling, or slowing down the game hoping to make you quit? Watch for the Nudge button to appear. By clicking it, you'll force the other player to make a move, or be disconnected from the game.

Attack first. Be the first to capture a piece, and then force a series of equal captures. You'll usually win in this scenario.

Go for two. Try capturing two checkers during a turn so that your opponent will struggle to rescue both. This will weaken your opponent's defenses.

Lose one to get two. Strategically sacrifice checkers to force uneven capture trades. For example, let your opponent capture one of your pieces if you can take two enemy checkers on your next turn.

Be defensive. Position checkers so you can respond to captures with a counter strike. Also, don't spread your pieces too far apart, since it opens you to multiple losses in a single turn.

Think ahead. Increase the number of moves you can make during a turn while limiting your opponent's options. If possible, place checkers to strategically block your opponent's movements.

Back away. Don't vacate your back row too soon. That way, your opponent can't mint kings.

This request is an odd one out. What I'm actually suggesting/requesting to be created is something between a (soft) redirect and a request for disambiguation. All of the above stand for "the gastrointestinal and genitourinary system(s)". Since the target isn't a single page but two pages, maybe there should be one double soft redirect page that includes links to the two targets –cf. {{Double soft redirect}}– and the rest of the above should be redirects to that page. GI/GU seems to be the most commonly found, so maybe that should be the double soft redirect page. Or maybe instead of using the double soft redirect template, the disambiguation template might be more suitable. Use your judgement. NB: Apparently the reverse order (GUGI) is not common, though GU/GI is sometimes found. This might be considered a misspelling and/or might be included as well.

A lifelong resident of Brooklyn, Rafael L. Espinal was born at Woodhull Hospital in Bedford Stuyvesant to Dominican Immigrants. The third of six children, he was raised in Cypress Hills / East New York attending and graduating from New York City public schools P.S. 108, I.S. 302, and Franklin K. Lane High School. Following his primary education, Rafael attended Queens College and graduated with a Bachelors degree in English.

Raised in a working class family, Rafael learned to value hard work at a very young age. Upon coming to America, both his father and mother found work in local sweatshops and were later fortunate to become unionized with the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. His father would eventually retire as a maintenance worker at JFK Airport; his mother is currently a SEIU 1199, Home Care Attendant. His parents' sacrifice and dedication afforded Rafael the opportunity to learn and grow, and instilled in him the values and character that make him the New Yorker he is today.

At the age of 23, Rafael taught Adult Literacy and General Education Degree (GED) courses to the ethnically diverse communities of East New York, Cypress Hills and Bushwick. Unfortunately, the program soon came to a close due to the lack of funding, leaving over 200 adult students without an opportunity to continue their education.

Soon after the adult program closures, Rafael was informed by Monsignor Peyton of St. Rita's Church of an opening at New York City Councilman Erik Martin Dilan's office. Determined to make a difference in the community and to influence the Council Member to increase adult learning and GED programs in North and Central Brooklyn, Rafael applied for the position and was hired in November of 2007.

During his time as a community liaison, and eventually as the Councilman's Chief of Staff, Rafael assisted many constituents with city-related issues and played a vital role in saving senior centers, daycare centers and school programs from proposed budget cuts. In 2010, New York State Senator, Martin Malave Dilan and the Puerto Rican and Latino Caucus of the State of New York recognized Rafael's commitment and contribution to the community by honoring him with a Certificate of Achievement and a Resolution from the New York State Senate. In 2011 the Statewide Association of Minority Businesses presented him with a “Rising Star Award.”

In 2011 Rafael Espinal stepped up to the opportunity of serving the 54th Assembly district by running for the vacant NYS Assembly seat. As the new Assembly Member, Espinal is hoping to further his ability to help those less fortunate than he. He would like to see the 54th Assembly District receive all the benefits New York State has to offer, and to advocate for equal opportunities for all.
