A priest who has authored some material and gets discussed in a variety of sources. Just google or book search "Kendall Harmon homosexuality" and you find The Guardian. The result was delete‎ . I would like to remind people reviewing this close that this is a policy-based discussion, not a vote. I gave zero weight to arguments that were some form of ITSUSEFUL, LIKEIT, what about foo / per other AfD, or INTERESTING. I also gave nearly zero weight to arguments based on NOTCHANGELOG shouldn't exist. If editors would like to change policy, they should open a RfC at WT:NOT.

After that, the discussion was over how to apply NOTCHANGELOG. In general, I didn't find arguments that because this article could be written in prose that it should be exempt from policy to be overly compelling since the argument encompasses every change log. The common sense part of policy does not exist as a get out of jail free card.

Based on this, I find a consensus to delete based on NOTCHANGELOG-based arguments. Several people pointed out that the article is a context-free list of monthly changes, just as policy speaks to. Guerillero Parlez Moi 19:19, 25 April 2023 (UTC)

I came her approximately one year ago for help referencing and rewriting an article titled Doctor of Metaphysics. If you recall I started an article on Helen Hadsell and that led me to start an article on the degree. I was impressed with the ability of those here to ferret out details.
I have a similar task here with giantology. I started an article about Giant skeletons and that led me to the term giantology and giantologist which has been in use as a term and title for at least 150 years. I understand it is a fringey and hoaxey subject, but the article states that while attempting to maintain a NPOV. I could do with help improving this article, which is being discussed for deletion. Subject of the article demolished a listed pub and made news for doing so, but did so via a limited company, so a lot of the reporting is about the company he is the sole director for. If you can't save it here, just go to https://military-history.fandom.com/wiki/Zafar_Mahmud and asked an administrator to import it. Special:Export can export the entire edit history of the article, it only 613 KB, but only an administrator can import it on that wiki. Did you read the obituaries for the guy? They usually list the most important things in someone's life. I searched https://www.newspapers.com/ for his name and "Royal Indian Air Force" and found nothing. Concern has been expressed about WP:BLPCRIME and WP:CRIME issues about this social media influencer. There is some urgency, as this article as at WP:AFD. I've completely rewritten the article and I thought made it compliant with both of the above guidelines/policy, but comments coming in make it clear that people don't agree.

Any help in making this article compliant with WP:BLPCRIME and WP:CRIME would be very welcome.

There is lots more sources about the subject online, overwhelmingly in unreliable sources, so please don't add them in. Probably this article needs to be shorter, I'm just not sure what needs to be cut to make it compliant. CT55555(talk) 00:24, 2 September 2023 (UTC)

I don't think this particular article is a good candidate for ARS as the relevant policy issue at hand relates specifically to the following policy language at WP:CRIME: "Generally, historic significance is indicated by sustained coverage of the event in reliable secondary sources which persists beyond contemporaneous news coverage and devotes significant attention to the individual's role." Given that the sources on this subject are all within a recent timeframe and are exclusively connected to on-going news coverage, I don't think there is going to be way to solve the problem through adding more available RS. There has not been sufficient time for the development of other types of RS as required by this policy langue. It's a little unfair to essentially ask people at ARS to locate coverage that would be a technical impossibility to exist given that the sources about the subject are all tied up in current news events in relation to an alleged crime that has yet to go through the court system. In short not enough time has passed for sources to develop which "persist beyond contemporaneous news coverage" (which is still on-going). Let's not send the ARS team on a fool's errand. That said, anyone still wishing to attempt to address the problem is welcome to try, I just don't think its likely to be successful because the types of sources needed (ie. something other than contemporaneous media coverage) have not been published yet (if they will ever be published at all).4meter4 (talk)
CRIME is one of the special notability guidelines. It might fail CRIME but pass GNG, in which case GNG can be a valid rationale. Also, ARS is not a "team". I don't what it is, but team implies something ARS is not. -- GreenC 05:11, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
I don’t agree with that interpretation of policy at all. WP:BLP policy trumps GNG in this case and WP:BLPCRIME (and more broadly WP:NOTSCANDAL) makes the language at CRIME more prescient even than that of GNG.4meter4 (talk) 06:36, 2 September 2023 (UTC)

I have found some other search terms (mentioned in the AfD) which uncover rs for this geo article. Can the article be improved with the rs? I hope that some others who watch this group might give it a go. I will try a bit myself. There are approximately two days left before the article will be deleted. So make haste please. I was able to determine that the area is part of The Noises in the Auckland Region of NZ. I found sources which cover it in depth and others that are more cursory. I also found an image of the Ahaaha on commons. I imagine there is more that can be done but I am a lone voice in the wilderness so I will leave it to others to see if I have provided enough rs to show notability. I think you have shown notability. Given current voting results, I don't see how to overturn the deletion tide without a major change in weather. The special guideline Wikipedia:Notability_(geographic_features) warns: "aggregate sources tell us nothing about why a particular object is distinguished". This doesn't make sense to me. I started a thread at Wikipedia_talk:Notability_(geographic_features)#"distinguished". However, this special guideline has been recently actively fought over due to the roads fiasco so I expect nothing will get done. Thanks for the message @GreenC: - it is difficult to turn it around after multiple Delete ivotes. There may be just enough notability for this topic. Looks like quite a few diving sites talk about Ahaaha, but those are not RS. I will check out your link. Some lists show all the places in a state, others only the populated places. A previous merger discussion was done entirely by one person. Conversely, there seem to be legitimate objections to a merger both on process and content; I generally consider process-based arguments to be weak at AfD, because that tends to reflect a behavioral problem that AfD isn't set up to deal with; but it is significant that a very recent merge discussion did not find consensus, and nobody has really suggested that the evidence has changed since then. I managed to find multiple RS to improve the article. The military organization per se was established in 2023. I suggest that the article be sorted as Stub instead of of it being redirected to Simon Ekpa. It's a notable Article under "Military and warfare" category of Wikipedia. Many existing nations today had their Liberation Armies prior to independence according to historical trends. It has RS which will be updated by me and other editors.
