Canadian Country Music group. Charted, but sourcing is thin. 7&6=thirteen () 09:50, 24 October 2019 (UTC)

I expanded the article and the sources. WP:GNG WP:Artist and WP:NMUSIC. But trying to find more sources is elusive. Redirect seems probable, but WP:Hey is an argument. I don't have access to Canadian country music sources that are not on line. 7&6=thirteen () 13:30, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
Keep Per the closer: "The result was keep. A previous consensus to Redirect was overturned by a consensus to Keep post a WP:HEY by User:7&6=thirteen." Thank you, User: Britishfinance. 7&6=thirteen () 21:38, 5 November 2019 (UTC)

Member of the City of Cape Town council from 2006-2008. Sources exist, mostly with the subject as a spokesperson, not about the subject. If someone could add references to the claims made in the article, the article could be kept. --Enos733 (talk) 04:39, 20 October 2019 (UTC)

Important author, Katherine Mansfield, particularly of short stories. Lots of sources at Google books. Referencing needs improvement. Only pretended compliance with WP:Before. Nominator says this is "a test case." 7&6=thirteen () 21:06, 19 October 2019 (UTC)

Fortunately, lots of editors thought this short story and author were important and should be kept. Putting light on the proposed AFD caught their attention.
The AFD discussion includes a list of many potential sources. Unfortunately, they have not actually been added to the article. The article still needs to be updated. Notwithstanding, WP:Before was controlling. and

{The result was keep. While the balance of !votes favor deletion, almost all delete !votes were made prior to cleanup of the article by Lightburst and others. The sources added to the article appear to satisfy both WP:GNG and WP:EVENTCRIT. -- Scott Burley |status=Keep

I have begun adding WP:RS and cleaning up the article. WP:GEOSCOPE should apply. I managed to find some international sources and the disposition of one conspirator - could use some help. Lightburst (talk) 19:54, 13 October 2019 (UTC)

  • No consensus at deletion review or AfD usually results is keep or reaffirms the original decision, but not in this case. Sandstein relisted the article. Perhaps some ARS help on firming up the article. I spent a good amount of time on this article but I wonder if I missed anything. Lightburst (talk) 14:48, 2 November 2019 (UTC)

Need reliable sourcing (prefer contemporary to her era and pre-Internet newspapers) to prove the fact that her "Register of State Lands" title was an elected office at the time. Also need reliable source that she was inducted to Louisiana Center for Women in Government and Business Hall of Fame in 1995, which would satisfy WP:ANYBIO 1 due to its exclusive scope. Surely someone has written something about this aspect of the film industry. Can anyone think of how to search for references? The nom was for WP:INDISCRIMINATE, To provide encyclopedic value, data should be put in context with explanations referenced to independent sources. So it is not just finding game RS, but why it should be included. The article needs to be improved to show that. Also some argue that as a list, it would grow too large. • Non notable politician who fails NPOL yet passes WP:SIGCOV. Subject became notable by being disbarred in 2005 for malfeasance, and a felony arrest and conviction 2012 for practicing as a disbarred lawyer, and denial of appeal in 2016. Question about notability. Sources are improved, but any improvement would be helpful. Note related article referenced in the AFD, which is also up for deletion. 7&6=thirteen () 22:21, 10 August 2019 (UTC)

  • No consensus Per the closer:"The result was no consensus. I see there are two distinct AfDs for this page and Fiona Hamilton-Fairley, the CEO of this institution (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fiona Hamilton-Fairley). However, the coverage is clearly overlapping, and arguments for standalone notability become weaker when there is a closely related subject with overlapping coverage. Arguments are being made at both discussions to redirect or merge, but these depend on the fate of the other page. So, I recommend both these articles be considered together, so that the totality of the coverage may be considered in a single context, and all the possible outcomes (from zero pages to two) may be examined. Therefore, this is a no consensus with no prejudice against immediate renomination." See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fiona Hamilton-Fairley.7&6=thirteen () 15:48, 14 August 2019 (UTC)

I've been coming across references to this and had supposed that Murray Gell-Mann was the source but it turns out that it was actually Michael Crichton. It's interesting for us as it's becoming a common aphorism when considering WP:RS/fake news issues. Should it be dropped down the memory hole or can we make something of it? Andrew D. Are there better sources, particularly in other languages? Interesting problem about an alleged Christian fundamentalist terrorist in Israel, who was indicted but not finally prosecuted. 7&6=thirteen () 22:27, 7 August 2019 (UTC)

  • Particularly since the subject was released for "health reasons". Sourcing out there is from pretty wild claims that got him arrested at the end of 2014. He was eventually released without charge (scant coverage of the release). Coverage in other languages (and I checked the relevant non-English languages) is not any better. Given the nature of this case, I will be courtesy blanking this discussion page tomorrow."
