Typo in the title (missing space) and there is already The Crossing (Ghost Whisperer) Gonnym (talk) 23:00, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. Why do we need this when the correctly formatted counterpart already exists? Regards, SONIC678 05:00, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete this unambiguous error. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 16:57, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • If this had not been created back in 2006, it would clearly be eligible for the speedy (R3) treatment (I don't see why "recently created" is part of that - there are plenty of implausible typos which nobody noticed, not a reason to not speedy them), also entirely useless per the above so Delete RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 17:58, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It is not sure that the first edition of the tournament will be in the 2021–22 season. Dr Salvus 19:53, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete as WP:TOOSOON and an unlikely search term at this point. Once an official schedule and further details are released, a red link would be more helpful, as that would be the moment when this can be recreated if need be. RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 19:57, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • Additionally, given the immense backlash (including from politicians, who are ready to step in to legislate against the breakaway competition for its anti-competitiveness); this is unlikely to even go ahead so WP:CRYSTAL also comes to mind... RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 17:55, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete: WP:TOOSOON, no evidence that it will start by then, and no evidence that it would span two seasons like that (they could just call it the 2022 European Super League). And once more information is known, we'd want to delete redirect to encourage article creation anyway, Joseph2302 (talk) 08:33, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Note: This discussion has been included in WikiProject Football's list of association football-related deletions. GiantSnowman 11:29, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as TOOSOON. GiantSnowman 11:30, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per WP:CRYSTAL. There was (AFAIK) no announcement of what year they intended to start the league, and with half the clubs that were supposed to be involved withdrawing we shouldn't be guessing which seasons might occur. 86.23.109.101 (talk) 01:07, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per TOOSOON/CRYSTAL, especially because over half of the clubs have already backed out. Unlikely to happen at all as it stands. PCN02WPS (talk | contribs) 01:39, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

H.W.[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to HW. (non-admin closure) CycloneYoris talk! 23:34, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think G. H. W. Bush would be the primary topic of his two middle initials, as support by Google searches (where Harvard-Westlake School dominates) and a disambiguation page, HW, which gets more views and makes more sense. I would say that it should be re-targeted to HW. Thank you, NotReallySoroka (talk) (formerly DePlume) 19:49, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep as is; Google searches disregard the full stop (.) in searches so the Google results are simply results for HW / H W. I can't find another encyclopedic topic that is often referred to as H.W. or H. W., bar Bush – who is sometimes referred to by his middle initials. There's a lot of people and companies with H.W. / H. W. in their names but AFAIK Bush Snr is the only one frequently referred to using the initials. J947messageedits 20:14, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • Harvard-Westlake, Hot Wheels… NotReallySoroka (talk) (formerly DePlume) 20:34, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
      • Have you seen them abbreviated as H.W. or H. W.? J947messageedits 22:23, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
        • In addition to Harvard-Westlake's own website having the domain hw, there is also a Studio City Residents article with the title, HW Sports Campus: Olympic Pool. As for Hot Wheels, it may be seen in the name of some Hot Wheels lines, such as the HW Metro. --NotReallySoroka (talk) (formerly DePlume) 00:22, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
          • ... have you seen them abbreviated as H.W. or H. W.? J947messageedits 03:10, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • REtarget to the disambiguation page, since "H.W." and "H. W." used to be standard style for abbreviations. -- 67.70.27.246 (talk) 01:44, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to the HW disambiguation page. I can't see that someone typing these terms is highly likely to be looking for Bush. Nigej (talk) 08:27, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to HW as {{R from modification}}. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 17:05, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • The periods are a meaningful difference, and readers are unlikely to include them for no reason. Keep unless someone can show other entries at HW being referred to with periods. -- Tamzin (she/they) | o toki tawa mi. 14:22, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to HW: Ambiguous title. Note there are many people with H.W. as their titles (see All pages with titles beginning with Hw), most of whom actually use H.W. as their initial rather than middle initials. Joseph2302 (talk) 15:22, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think Special:PrefixIndex/Hw is much help here: "H.W." is no more likely an abbreviation of "Hwang" than "T.A." is of "Tamzin" or "J.O." is of "Joseph". If you look at Special:PrefixIndex/H.W. and Special:PrefixIndex/HW there appear to only be two biography subjects whose names start with "H.W." or "HW": H.W. Schumann and H.W. van der Merwe. Was either of them frequently referred to by just their first initials? There's plenty of cases where a first name redirects to the most notable person with that name, on the basis that no one else with the name is referred to by it mononymously. E.g. Barack. -- Tamzin (they/she) | o toki tawa mi. 01:50, 24 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete: The person is recently deceased in unexplained circumstances [1], but at present there is no reason why they would be covered at that location (or anywhere else on Wikipedia). Joseph2302 (talk) 08:43, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Implausible redirect missing a space. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 17:56, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete guess it doesn't qualify as a speedy but it's a totally implausible typo and no significant history requiring attribution. Elli (talk | contribs) 21:37, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. Hog Farm Talk 01:38, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This doesn't seem like a useful search term or anything. It's just...why would anyone search "Creeper (Minecraft) 2"? InvalidOStalk 12:13, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete seems like what happened here is that someone was attempting to move a draft (which used to be at Draft:Creeper (fictional creature)) into article space and wanted to put it at Creeper (Minecraft). There was already a redirect at that title, however, so they tried to make room by moving the redirect to this malformed title, not realising that it would leave another redirect behind. The mess of page moves has since been cleaned up with some round robin swaps, so there is no need to keep this WP:UNNATURAL redirect, and there's no substantial page history here that needs keeping. 86.23.109.101 (talk) 12:29, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was keep. There is some agreement that this is a valid synonym without mention, and that the disambiguation page contains few things likely to be pluralised in this way. ~ mazca talk 08:53, 7 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned at the target. An internet search suggests that this term is primarily used to denote affinity for fictional characters in fandom communities. Delete unless a justification can be provided. signed, Rosguill talk 16:25, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. "Kinnie" is a nickname for members of the otherkin community. BlackholeWA (talk) 11:35, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment @Yitzilitt: would you mind restoring the reference and a mention of kinnie? -- 67.70.27.246 (talk) 21:35, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment I'm not sure what the proper protocol is for removing the deletion discussion link. Yitz (talk) 21:52, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • 72.187.142.113 (talk · contribs) claimed it was misinforpation, but you supplied a reference, so the term "kinnie" could be supported without the other commentary, as a term used for self-ID. The practise of "kinning" though doesn't seem to be specific to "otherkin", as other topics can use the same term to mean similar things (treating others (non-relatives) as kin). So I'd suggest just adding that "kinnie" with the ref. That would solve this RFD problem. Though "Kinnies" is also the plural of "Kinnie", an alternate form of "Kenny", so perhaps pointing it to the disambiguation page would solve that issue Kinnie (disambiguation) -- 67.70.27.246 (talk) 13:53, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Of the other entries at Kinnie (disambiguation), only the beverage Kinnie has any likelihood of being pluralized, but "Kinnies" maltese gets all of 5,000 hits. Second choice retarget per Tavix. -- Tamzin (they/she) | o toki tawa mi. 10:12, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Tamzin. Synonyms are the most acceptable type of redirect without mention IMO. It's fairly easy to see how this is derived, so I'm not bothered by its not being explicitly used. --BDD (talk) 15:37, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

These redirects should target the same place. Note that both redirects have an old article in their history. J947messageedits 20:01, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Convert Big Media to a disambig page and redirect Big media to Big Media since both target articles are a good choice. It is conventional to treat Big Oil, Big Tobacco etc as proper nouns so the capital M should be preferred User:GKFXtalk 20:16, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I absolutely agree with you about the name, since it was parallelism with the "Big Tech" article that inspired me make the make the "Big Media" redirect. In thinking about a disambiguation page, it occurs to me that "Concentration of media ownership" and "Media conglomerate" aren't clearly distinctive topics. I made a suggestion to merge to merge the two articles at Talk:Concentration of media ownership#Merge with "Media conglomerate"?. -- RobLa (talk) 05:44, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was Speedily deleted as G3 by User:GB fan. (non-admin closure) Natg 19 (talk) 23:47, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Delete for being unfounded - there is no proof that Aqulux and Citadel are related. NotReallySoroka (talk) (formerly DePlume) 04:57, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Speedy Delete G3 as a combination of mistake and hoax. Someone made an article at this title by copying and pasting the Citadel LLC article, changing only the infobox. This must have then confused the next editor who turned up, who turned it into a redirect to the citadel llc article. Looking at the former article The claims in the infobox make no sense, despite supposedly controlling $149 Billion of assets they only have 5 employees? Searching for the name of the supposed founder turns up a load of results relating to some teenager involved in a scout group. You would expect a company with $149 billion in assets to have a website and some kind of online record, but their website doesn't exist, they have no social media presence and there is no sign of this being an actual company, no sign of any North Carolina business records. There are a number of shower and bathroom companies with shared names that pollute the search results, but I think we can fairly definitively say that this "Company" is nothing more than a hoax. 86.23.109.101 (talk) 12:13, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Also this was made by a user account with the user name "Heywoodwt", and the name of the supposed founder is "Heywood B. Williams-Tracy" I think this is fairly obviously just some kid making a fake article on a company they made up. 86.23.109.101 (talk) 12:16, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

We don't have Wikipedia:Check mark redirected to Wikipedia:Autopatrolled or Wikipedia:Notebook redirected to Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Reviewers. Wikipedia:Eye exists, but it redirects to Wikipedia:WikiProject Medicine/Ophthalmology task force instead of WP: Reviewing pending changes. Delete it, NotReallySoroka (talk) (formerly DePlume) 03:44, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - Given that the mop is a pretty standard analogy for adminship, I think this is plausible. You'll see adminship referred to as "Getting the mop", although you never see PCR as "getting the eye". But maybe that should be a thing. Hog Farm Talk 04:40, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • Sure. Maybe you will get the wrench and the screwdriver soon, if you would like them. Unrelated note: Please take a note at the Mike Soroka page - I have done something there. NotReallySoroka (talk) (formerly DePlume) 04:43, 19 April 2021 (UTC), edited on 05:05, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Used on 14 pages. The analogy is intuitive to experienced Wikipedians because many call adminship "getting the mop". It is the shortest of the 3 listed redirects, so quickest to type. –Novem Linguae (talk) 05:16, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per above. How exactly is this not a highly helpful redirect? J947messageedits 06:15, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Here's another WP:RFOREIGN "álbum" redirect (a leftover from a 2009 move), as this album doesn't have a connection to Spanish or Portuguese (although it did appear high on some Portuguese and Spanish charts, as the article points out). There's also versions of the target on the Spanish and Portuguese Wikipedias as well, but no equivalents for this redirect in those languages, making its redirect's plausibility even more dubious. Regards, SONIC678 02:37, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per my essay, User:NotReallySoroka/No such redirect as "Dorian Fried". Only source that called him "President Herbert Walker Bush" is a Congressional record. While NSRADF states it as an exception to my opinion, I don't think that the one mention by a Congresswomen can be construed as more than anecdotal. NotReallySoroka (talk) (formerly DePlume) 00:44, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep, looks to be an uncommon way of differentiating between the two President Bushes. Readers searching up this will be looking for George H. W. Bush, and are helped by this redirect. This reasoning does not apply to all mix-and-match middle name redirects. J947messageedits 07:52, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep redirects are cheap. The fact that this was used to refer to him, and that there's no ambiguity here, means that we should keep it. Elli (talk | contribs) 08:09, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
