Heavy Rain Facebook

I don't agree with it either. But at the moment it does count as a valid external link because it gives people an insight into the marketing style that Sony are using for the game. I suspect that pretty soon after the game's launch the site will go all but dead, and then become a viable candidate for removal. - X201 (talk) 09:32, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

That's alright, I'm sure consensus is bound to change sooner or later :) Thanks, and happy editing. --Soetermans | drop me a line | what I'd do now? 10:51, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Littlebigplanet2-logo.png

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Littlebigplanet2-logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
  • If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.

GTA 4

I have nothing against your most recent revert, thank you for leaving a description for it. But it would be more helpful if you were to do it as a first-time kind of thing in the edit description, I mean even the notice before using the "undo" button is to leave a summary. So just lettin' you know. And thanks for keeping everything on track. =) • GunMetal Angel 10:57, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

I noticed that you have revised either Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri or Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire.

I intend to revise those articles following the Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Article guidelines. There are more details on the discussion pages of those articles. I'd be interested in any comments you have. It would be best if your comments were on the discussion pages of the two articles.

Thank you.

Gravity Crash

Hi, I'm a little uncertain why WE the developer of the game have to cite ourselves about OUR game?! We, to be perfectly frank are the people WHO know EVERYTHING about our game, why should we have to explain ourselves?

Personally, I'm NOT happy about having to enter into this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by JAWLTD (talkcontribs) 19:33, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Fanboy and Chum Chum (video game)

Hello X201. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Fanboy and Chum Chum (video game), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not blatantly vandalism or a hoax. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 20:20, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi!

Could you tell me why you deleted the "2010 video game" category from Rock-Paper-Sumo's article? This is a game and it's been released in 2010.

Mega Drive article name

I intend to make this discussion later on, but I wonder what your thoughts will be.

I'd like to change the name of the article to Mega Drive/Genesis so there is less undue weight, and Mega Drive still comes first. I completely agree the article shouldn't be called the Genesis article, but I don't think the current name quite covers it.--SexyKick 20:50, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
Nooooooooooo!. There's no need. Mega Drive was the original name, Genesis is mentioned in the opening paragraph and the article currently has 18 different redirects from every version and combination of Genesis and Mega Drive that anyone can come up with. Please SexyKick, don't re-open this can of worms. - X201 (talk) 21:02, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
Noted.--SexyKick 21:11, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I'll just forget about that. No worries.--SexyKick 23:19, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

Date template in citations

Hi. I just noticed your edits to Fallout: New Vegas and was wondering what you meant about not using the date template in citations. Is it that dates are supposed to be formatted YYYY-MM-DD (rather than with the name of the month etc), or that templates shouldn't be used within Cite web, both or something else? Is it that {{date}} is only supposed to be used for dates that are subject to change? If that is the case I could just subst: it.

I use a program called PraseExpress to auto-generate citations using the current date (for accessdate) and clipboard contents for the URL and if I have it set up the wrong way for dates I want to know about it (it can be set up to output various date formats so that wouldn't really be a problem).

Thanks, Alphathon™ (talk) 13:12, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

The Template thing is basically me sticking to the keep it simple rule. As for the date format, apparently any format is valid in a citation, again - wish they'd make their bloody mind up and stick with one format - I take the worry and work out of it now anyway, and just paste a bare url and then let WP:REFLINKS get the formatting correct. I figure that if the consensus changes Reflinks will get updated anyway. - X201 (talk) 13:34, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
Fair enough. It certainly would be nice if there were a fixed date format, although it'd be a little time-consuming to enforce unless a bot were set up to do it. Alphathon™ (talk) 14:05, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
Reflinks sticks to yyyy-mm-dd. There is talk of a bot to fix date formatting in articles (not sure if it will cover Refs though) You might have noticed a template called Use DMY popping up in articles. The plan is to use it to keep dates in the correct format eventually. - X201 (talk) 14:48, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

Realtime Games Software

Thanks for your comments to my questions about the template for Realtime. Yes, argonautica had slipped my mind - we never did any QL work ourselves and this was all part of Andy Onions wanting to be a publisher. It didn't work out ... Anyway, guilty as charged on that one, but "By Fair Means Or Foul" would seem to be in error. --Ian (talk) 15:43, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Template:Infobox Bond film/doc, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Template:Infobox Bond film/doc and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Template:Infobox Bond film/doc during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. GT5 locked?

Hi there, the article for Gran Turismo 5 appears to be locked, and nobody on the talk page is paying any notice at all. This looks to be one of the biggest videogames of the year, and there is lots lacking in the article - any chance you could do something to get it editable again?

Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.141.22.71 (talk) 20:17, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

I want to ask you a favor, a Wiki friend!

Please take some moments of your precious time to consider and re-rate these articles:

Dream Chronicles series

Dream Chronicles

Dream Chronicles 2: The Eternal Maze

Dream Chronicles: The Chosen Child

Dream Chronicles: The Book of Air

As the main contributing writer of these articles, I will very very appreciate your knowledge and rating.

Big thanks for your help!
