I need a bit of help, Robby

@Robby.is.on: I need help moving the article Timothée Pembele to Timothée Pembélé. Can you help me? It says I need to go to WP:RM to do this, but I don't know how to submit a request. This is a fairly urgent message. Paul Vaurie (talk) 20:20, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

@Paul Vaurie:  Done GiantSnowman 22:23, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
@GiantSnowman: Thank you so much! Paul Vaurie (talk) 22:27, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
Glad it got sorted out. Thanks, GS. I reckon the urgency stems from Pembélé involvement in yesterday's match? Robby.is.on (talk) 09:52, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
@GiantSnowman and Robby.is.on: Sorry, but I have a few questions:
A few days ago I created this Timothée Pembélé voice, and I was just wondering, why as it been renamed so many times? Why was this such an urgent matter? Why has there apparently been a fusion of the article and the draft from Paul Vaurie?
I'm not jumping to any conclusion, but as this user seemed very eager to be credited with the creation of this page, I was just wondering, where all those procedures only requested by Vaudrie so that he could claim to be the sole creator of the page?
If so it doesn't seem to be a very healthy behavior. Creating an article is not a more meaningful task than contributing to its redaction. And if someone made a draft before a voice became notable, adding its content to a created article is virtually the same as creating it.
Have a good evening, --Coco (talk) 18:35, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
I cannot speak of the intentions of other editors. I merely merged two drafts, so that the full history was retained at mainspace. GiantSnowman 20:20, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

Apologies

Apologies for the source I added on Sasha Allen! I had no idea WP:DAILYMAIL was an unreliable source, I'm still familiarizing myself with Wikipedia's reliable sources. Thanks for the advice! HotTomatoe (talk) 13:22, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

 @HotTomatoe: No problem. Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 13:51, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

BKFIP

I see that the person continues to post WP:FOOTY threads one after the other regarding me. Am i being an utter nuisance, regarding MOS? If i am just say the word, i'll leave (in the meantime, a message in my user page where the person is not completely wrong, since i have not stopped editing, just with the account). Sick and tired of this bullshit, i just want to contribute in the quiet man (i suppose if i was being so disruptive i would have been blocked/banned long ago)!

Hi @Hmayankc:. What kind of correction are you looking for? Robby.is.on (talk) 19:09, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
Hi, Robby.is.on, I guess I was referring to the right url and reference. According to you what is the right one? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hmayankc (talkcontribs) 04:35, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
@Hmayankc:, we need a reliable source, the Daily Mail wasn't one. Check out WP:RSP.

Hello,

Noted, I'm not from an English-speaking country and was not quite aware of the nature and reliability (or lack thereof) of the Daily Mail website. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Glorfindel9000 (talkcontribs) 22:50, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

Alexis Bbakka's name

Hey Robby. I am creating a new article on a Ugandan professional footballer who has made 2 appearances for the Uganda national football team. His name is, well, this is the point. I made the draft Draft:Bbakka Alexis, but then, I came across an issue. Different sources refer to him as different names. His full name defintely includes three words: Bbakka, Alexis, and David. The thing is, I can't decide which is what! From what I am starting to see in my sources, I am leaning towards the article name "Alexis Bbakka" and the full name "Alexis David Bbakka", but it would be helpful if you could take a look. Click here to see what the sources say. Paul Vaurie (talk) 07:19, 1 January 2021 (UTC)

@Paul Vaurie: Wow, that is annoying indeed. I'd go with what you suggested. Hopefully, there will be more agreement among the different sources at a later point in time. Robby.is.on (talk) 16:06, 1 January 2021 (UTC)

Hi

Hi Robby. Just a short question, well two. First, why was I mentioned in the User talk of Bakir123? If you want a short explanation will do. Second, about the Use dmy dates thing, when should they get changed and when shouldn't they? I hope to get your answer(s) soon! :)

help archiving my talk page

Hey Robby! I was wondering if you could help me archive my talk page. I am trying to do so, but I don't know where to start. If you could give me a hand, that'd be great! Thanks. Paul Vaurie (talk) 20:20, 4 January 2021 (UTC)

Hi @Paul Vaurie:. It's been a while since I set up archiving so I don't remember all the ins and outs. I think User:ClueBot III#Quick-Start and what follows will get you places. Then, you could have a look at the template(s) at the top of my Talk page (and of Talk pages of other editors who use archives) for comparison. Uli Maslo

Hello Robby, in old newspapers, te be found on www.delpher.nl, I found that Uli Maslo played for RCH Haarlem from 1962 till 1968. I find it difficult how to bring this as a source. @Filmwijker: Thanks for the message. Danke! Help:Referencing for beginners könnte hilfreich sein. Sonst könnten Sie den Link zum Artikel auch hier platzieren und ich versuche es. Aspinall's and The Daily Mail source

Hello, can you please explain why you now left this section entirely unsourced (when you reverted the last edit)? Career stats tables

I'm assuming that you were referring to the note at the top of the table and the reference. The page you referred me to says "ideally, each row should be individually sourced. If this is not done, reference(s) for the entire table should appear within this section". I don't see any issue with where I put the reference. Kingjeff (talk) 16:28, 28 January 2021 (UTC)

Assistance

Hello there, and a (belatedly) happy new year!

A small favour, if you can: i have become tired of editing again, due to overzealous monitoring of my work (work apparently carried out with a poor level of English), again by the same user. The article i bring to your attention is Abel Ferreira (the situation occurred from 6-8 December last year): in his playing career, i inserted a paragraph (the fourth one, you can easily confirm through the edit history) that read "From 2008–09 onwards, Ferreira began having stiff competition from Brazilian Pedro Silva. This situation was aggravated from January 2010 onwards, after the purchase of Braga's João Pereira.". Content was removed because it was poorly written (according to the user) and unsourced (OK there on his part, following the guidelines). I re-inserted it with TWO sources and it was removed again, with summaries such as "back to good English"; the previous month(s), the article was subjected to gross vandalism by a die-hard PAOK FC fan (also later to be found a sock by admin @Drmies:), who kept writing - verbatim! - penalties awarded against his team in match with AFC Ajax should not have been given; also engaged in overdetail and overlinking like his life depended on it, for instance writing about ALL matches PAOK played in European competition, all in all trying to make Ferreira a bad manager). I had to take care of that all by myself, i suppose the user who monitored me could not be bothered about improving/cleaning Mr. Ferreira's article then.

My request is this one: could you please reinsert it, (re)phrasing it as you see fit? Unfortunate (to put it mildly) situation, article all but improved and curated by me only to have it come to this. In nearly 15 years, i never had anyone point any language shortcomings out except this user and (drum roll)... this one! That should tell you something, i feel...

Another clue: @MYS77: has an editing style/approach that is almost identical to my own, and never was he subjected to this monitoring (again, easily proven by checking a list of contributions). He thinks this is a clear case of WP:HOUND and i feel very inclined to agree, without proving anything and wishing no wiki-harm upon the other person (AGAIN, for the record, please note that i am not accusing anyone of anything!). Only proof here thus far in my book is the level of discomfort i feel which led to me retiring again. In the past, i asked several editors if my level of English was suitable enough for the project, they all concurred that it was (you'd think they'd tell me if it was the other way around, no?).

The user that monitors also accused me of insulting him several times which is not true. I only called him "stalker" a few times, and when threatened with further wiki-action i apologised and it seemed to be accepted (but what other word can you use when this person's contributions in football focus solely on my work? "Around-the-clock monitor"? I can take that, no problem. This account, as well as the static IP which i used, found in Mr. Ferreira's article, 81.193.141.118, used to be scrutinised to exhaustion, have no idea how that stands nowadays). The last exchange with this person regarding the aforementioned article resulted in me being told i was full of myself, and ordered to stay out of their talkpage, to which i obliged; this is why i am not pinging them here, sick and tired of this situation and only come to you for editiorial assistance as already explained (also "kinda" following the advice of the monitor, who in an exchange told me something to the effect of "if you can't insert that content in proper English, ask someone else to do it for you". Thus i ask you, but i suppose they could have performed that action themselves instead of reverting just because...

Please notify me on whatever it is that you can provide (assuming you want to do it, of course!), take care of yourself and continue the good work (if this person wanted me out of WP - i repeat i am not accusing anyone or proving anything, not judge, jury and executioner here! - mission accomplished. If i'm reading this all wrong and they did not want me to leave it's all good too, WP is in good hands, full of editors who speak perfectly good English, follow the guidelines and are respectful and gregarious, such as yourself. I want to think i was also a good one, but that's not up to me to say). Regards --Quite A Character (talk) 04:46, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

@Quite A Character: I had a look at Hippo43's Talk page and saw he did explain his removal of the content you added there (link): "But, to answer your point about the Abel Ferreira article, you didn't source it. The source did not say "from 2008-09 onwards" and it did not say anyone "faced stiff competition" or similar. You wanted it to say something that it didn't. I don't know if the problem there is your English or your comprehension." I haven't read the sources and I don't have enough interest in the Abel Ferreira to dive in deeply but you would have to address that concern if you want the content to be added to the page. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 11:11, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

Fair enough. I thought that the sources (where all three players are mentioned), accompanied by WP:BOLD, would be enough. Also, if the Record article does not mention stiff competition Ferreira faced from Silva may i drop dead this minute :)

Article stays as it is, sorry to bother you. --Quite A Character (talk) 12:00, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

Okay. Did you two never discuss this point of contention? Seems like to the obvious thing to do after a revert or two. Robby.is.on (talk) 20:50, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

We did, sir, as explained above. First they told me it was poor English and unsourced. When i added the sources it was removed again, due to poor (or horrible, don't know their exact opinion of my skills but it's a negative one) English and sources that did not match content. Less than one day into this, already tired beyond explanation. I'm leaving Mr. Ferreira's article as it is, cheers! --Quite A Character (talk) 21:27, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

Okay. Robby.is.on (talk) 21:29, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

Sure enough (yes i admit it, that new IP was me. But i did not change it on purpose to avoid scrutiny, one morning i turned my computer on and had this address assigned. Want to believe me fine, if not that's OK too), you disclosed it and the other user has already gone to work "vastly improving" my "mess" (in their view, only the articles i work on/improve merit to be cleaned up; of course they speak better English then me, not the point here). Fine, my conscience is clear (hundreds of articles improved, thousands of refs added, including for stuff others wrote without one single source), now i give up regardless of what this situation is (stalking, an incredible coincidence, me gone mad; i do find it rather strange that a user focuses solely on another user when people with serious issues of WP:CIR can be counted by the hundreds), goodbye to you (and sorry for all the times i made you snap with my incivility in summaries) and all the best! --Quite A Character (talk) 02:44, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

You've done good work here, no doubt.
I looked through your recent anonymous contributions (link) and as far as I can tell Hippo43 made changes to two of the few dozen articles you edited and the changes seem harmless changes in wording: [1], [2] and not anything that would amount to WP:HOUNDING. But obviously, I haven't looked into what happened before. Robby.is.on (talk) 11:32, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

Back in the day, account, IP used at home and the other at work were all scrutinised, sometimes minutes after editing. I would like to edit exclusively with the account (because that can make me look shady i know), but i'm tired to the bone of this lousy scrutiny. One day, after one of our exchanges, i got the reply "Do you want me to stop improving poor material?" Of course not, but can i reason then that for this person i'm the only one here writing poor material? You have any idea how that makes me feel?

Again, apologises for when i behaved badly here, and ditto for my understanding of your comment at WP:FOOTY (speaking of which, article stays as it is because i'm not allowed to readd that content - or i am, but it will reverted on the spot - a pity). Cheers! --Quite A Character (talk) 16:32, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

And anway, my situation is small potatoes compared to what just happened to MYS77 (mentioned at the beginning of this thread), after a discussion about fully-pro leagues at the pertinent wikiforum that turned sour, is now being threatened with bodily harm by another user in his social media, as well as his family. This place can really be a shithole sometimes, what a shame... --Quite A Character (talk) 17:18, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

Sissako

Hey Robby. I saw on Moussa Sissako you removed the total for the table. The thing is, I have seen on articles like Mbappe where they basically include the loan in the total. That's why I had that line there. Personally, I don't think there should be a line, but I went with the editing pattern. Paul Vaurie (talk) 23:00, 3 February 2021 (UTC)

Hi @Paul Vaurie: Yes, I've seen it elsewhere, too. But I think it's exceptions to the rule. Robby.is.on (talk) 23:04, 3 February 2021 (UTC)

Hi Robby, did you mean to add the "Expand German" tag to this article? Not sure what content in the article on a currently active German player could be used to expand the article on an English player from the 1930s........? -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 08:22, 9 February 2021 (UTC)

Gilles Cardinet

Hello Robby. I am having trouble on an article, Gilles Cardinet. The player was loaned to Brest from Paris Saint-Germain at some point during his PSG career - the issue is that different sources say different things.
WorldFootball.net say he was loaned from 1980 to 1984, Histoire du PSG as well
FootballDatabase.eu say he was loaned out from 1983 to 1984
PSG70 say 1980 to 1981, and so does the French Wikipedia article. What should I do? Paul Vaurie (talk) 21:57, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

@Paul Vaurie: That's a difficult one, indeed. I think I'd leave the years out for now (as you did) and look for newspaper articles from the 80s. How do you rate the reliability of "Histoire du PSG" and "PSG70"? Are they fan sites? Robby.is.on (talk) 09:51, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
@Robby.is.on: PSG70 and Histoire du PSG are made by fans, yes, but their information is 90%+ of the time correct. Their information is occassionally incorrect, but most of the time they are pretty reliable for former PSG players. I usually don't just use one source, I usually look if all my sources confirm the same thing and see if there is a conflict. Here, there is a conflict. IMO FootballDatabase.eu is probably the most reliable, but all the other ones contradict that, so I'm not sure. Paul Vaurie (talk) 15:32, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
I think 1980–81 is incorrect (because PSG70 is overall the least reliable); I can tell the French Wikipedia article went off PSG70, even if no sources are cited (I can tell this because it has information only found on PSG70 about that player). Secondly, we are 100% sure the player was loaned until 1984, because Histoire du PSG, FootballDatabase.eu, and WorldFootball.net say he was loaned up to that year. I think we need to look into where the player was at from 1980 to 1983: its either Brest or PSG B. He was only in the PSG A team in 1979–80 and 1984–85.
I don't know how to search newspaper articles from the 80s, if you could help me do that I'd appreciate it. Paul Vaurie (talk) 15:37, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
@Paul Vaurie: I think I've got something decent here. On the official Stade Brestois website Cardinet is mentioned on the page for 83–84 ([3]), but not for 82–83 ([4]), 81–82 ([5]) and 80–81 ([6]). Maybe https://www.lavoixdunord.fr/art/region/le-varietes-club-de-france-les-anciens-du-psg-et-du-vafc-jna27b0n475672 is of use for the article, too? Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 17:00, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
@Robby.is.on: Thanks for the research. That's an interesting find you made on the Brest official website... on the lavoixdunord.fr link you put, it says "he signs for [PSG] in 1976, but only plays a few games in 1981 before heading to Brest, before another short stint at PSG..." - this is really confusing because it suggests he played for PSG in 1981, when he was actually either at the PSG B team or on loan at Brest in the 1980–81 and 1981–82 seasons. Paul Vaurie (talk) 20:28, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
In my opinion, what FootballDatabase.eu has is probably the most accurate, because it always has all Division 1/Division 2 games in the stats table and they are always accurate where there is no pink. In FootballDatabase.eu, it has Cardinet at Brest from 1983 to 1984, and making a total of two league appearances. I think this seems to be the most probably/correct way to go about it. What are your thoughts? Paul Vaurie (talk) 20:31, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
@Paul Vaurie: I'd go with the club's record, so Brest's website. They have him on the team photo for the season (or not). Robby.is.on (talk) 10:05, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

Championnat National U19

Hey Robby. I need a bit of help with the article Championnat National U19. I have already created it, but the formatting for the wikitables & stuff isn't correct. If you could make some improvements to the article that would be greatly appreciated. If you want to add the list of finals, you can, but I am not going to do that right now. Paul Vaurie (talk) 05:00, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

@Paul Vaurie: Do you mean just the alignment of numbers or something else as well? Robby.is.on (talk) 08:38, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
Well, yes, I guess aligning the numbers in the wikitable. I don't know what the correct format is but I'm pretty sure what I have right now is not correct. Paul Vaurie (talk) 12:49, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
@Paul Vaurie: Okay, I've done that. Is that what you were looking for or is something else wrong? Robby.is.on (talk) 18:13, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
No, I guess that's good. But I wanted to make sure you knew I made this article and that there are some improvements to be made. Thanks for this. Paul Vaurie (talk) 18:15, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
@Paul Vaurie: Alrighty. :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 18:47, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

Pascal Chimbonda

Hi, with regards to Pascal Chimbonda the article states "Club career" and doesn't specifically state this is solely for his professional career, therefore I inserted sentences regarding to him playing for two semi-professional sides into this section as it makes little sense to put them into "Personal life" given the notability of the clubs in question. The player had announced his retirement from football in the past but like so many others he returned to competitive football. Washington and Ashton Town are both semi-professional Non-League sides competing in the English Football tier system. For some reason those stints were missing from the Infobox as well. This also made little sense as previously during his career he had also played for Market Drayton Town who are themselves a Non-League side of a similar stature to both Washington and Ashford, but yet Market Drayton had it's own chapter within his Club career section, which I sorted away and swallowed into a "Later career" section as there were a few chapters with minimal sentences. Obviously players often dip in between professional and semi-professional football during their careers, and many hang their boots up only to come out of retirement and play again so with this edit I just altered it to fall in line with how others on Wikipedia appear, as I've yet to come across another article that has not noted notable spells in a career section as such. If the said moves were spells with amateur sides of no notability then I would agree they would be at home in a personal life section. I hope this explains things a little better. Pronunciation

Hi. Some days ago I changed pronounciation of christian vieri and cristian brocchi. I'm italian and correct pronounciation in both cases is 'kristjan not 'kristjam. I'm not gonna change anything of your version, but just know that 'kristjam is not correct — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.16.200.215 (talkcontribs) 13:59, 24 February 2021 (UTC)

Hello there, only noticed the message now,

fail to see any problems regarding what you brought to my attention, i was courteous in that summary and composed the other user's shortcomings (which happen more than i would like to see, overlinking and subpar English for starters; but hey, nobody's perfect, not trying to belittle anyone. Also, i never stalked this user repeatedly or on purpose like what happened to me in the past, so different situations if you must ask) that was all. If from where you are coming from there is cause for concern, then i guess the point is moot.

Kind regards, happy work --Quite A Character (talk) 03:13, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

@Quite A Character: "Composed Mr. Cabral again" – We don't "compose" people. Robby.is.on (talk) 09:51, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

My bad again...Man, i sure liked to stop writing summaries altogether, just work, work and work (i think my efforts here are out of the question). More than anything, i would love to leave WP once and for all, but cannot! --Quite A Character (talk) 14:59, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

  • Thanks for restoring the short description, did not notice i removed it :( Regarding the rest, yes it was vandalism, all midfielder positions removed without one word and replaced with "forward". It is true player is now being often deployed as a second striker, but he has spent 99,9999999999999999999% of his career as an att.midfielder.

Regards back --Quite A Character (talk) 20:20, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

@Quite A Character: People can disagree over playing positions. (Like you said García often plays as second striker behind Williams, and with Williams missing, he has played centre forward. He has good heading abilities and holdup play.) To me, that change seemed like was it made in good-faith – at any rate, it's far from obvious vandalism.
Think of your change: Someone who doesn't know the IP is you could have assumed the removal of the short description was vandalism when really, it was just an accident.
What I'm saying is: we should not throw around accusations of vandalism lightly. Robby.is.on (talk) 21:40, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

You, sir, are absolutely correct in that assumption/analysis! What more can i say (nothing! Maybe i should really start putting my money where my mouth is and never again write that "extra" crappy word in summaries, but i fear i'm a bit too late to that...)? Take care --Quite A Character (talk) 22:45, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

@Quite A Character: Never too late! Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 22:53, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

Work for you man ;)

Can you please add the 1978/79 season to his statistical chart? I reckon when article was created BDFUTBOL still had not created that Segunda División B one!

Tomorrow, brother Jon, and i will finish my improvements on this football family with a lot of hair :) Except for the son/nephew, no interest in touching that one after the first/only glance i had at it.

Continue the great work, thanks in advance --2001:8A0:7667:5801:1542:2C4E:3CAD:9AFF (talk) 08:51, 28 February 2021 (UTC)

@2001:8A0:7667:5801:1542:2C4E:3CAD:9AFF: Done! I've also added cup appearances that were missing. Robby.is.on (talk) 22:21, 28 February 2021 (UTC)

Great as always, many thanks! Finished improving Jon (the brother, not the son), if you think the stats chart needs cleanup like in Mr. Santiago go right ahead, i'm done with my part.

Have a pleasant start to your week, regards --2001:8A0:7667:5801:74A8:4CD9:B955:6C76 (talk) 23:46, 28 February 2021 (UTC)

Thanks, I did some work there, too. You too! Robby.is.on (talk) 09:06, 1 March 2021 (UTC)

Great teamwork then! Technical question: since i've seen it at least in Xabi Alonso (and his brother and father) and i'm almost sure in another family (not sure where now), what's your intake in adding the "Bakero family" (or a better title, if you or the majority see it fit) category to these four individuals? Cheers --2001:8A0:7667:5801:A9B4:AF12:FF3D:89AA (talk) 10:03, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

@2001:8A0:7667:5801:A9B4:AF12:FF3D:89AA: No idea, honestly. I'm not experienced with creating and managing categories and the guidelines involved. Maybe ask people who frequents edit categories and use HotCat? Robby.is.on (talk) 10:17, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

Hi. Why you rollback my edits about this and other pages? Dr Salvus (talk) 23:28, 1 March 2021 (UTC)

@Dr Salvus: I explained in my edit summaries and on your Talk page (here). Robby.is.on (talk) 08:02, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

edits

my issue is this....providing evidence using links to the press provides scant details and a wealth of errors. I could show dozens of articles with incorrect facts and figures that could be added to the page....but the information is incorrect. You would say it is valid....but you havent had multiple articles written about you to understand how sloppy journalists can be . I understand there are certain guidelines to prevent libelous/lies/self-promotion. I have absolute fact to add to the page that would be of interest to many and yet you sir are engaged in your petty, small-minded editing world. look outside the box....I have plenty of information that would be of interest to some fans, researchers etc and yet you insist on immediately stamping your rule book on my edits. Go to the bathroom , have a look in the mirror and ask yourself " why am I engaged in these small, meaningless battles with folk on Wikipedia? Then go and watch the football and do something constructive with your life.Block me if that gives you a chubby...I will make a new profile...pointless isnt it? Get over yourself.Boyonahill (talk) 12:18, 4 March 2021 (UTC)

@Boyonahill: See Wikipedia:Verifiability, not truth. Here's an excerpt:

[…] Wikipedia's 'content is determined by previously published information rather than the beliefs or experiences of its editors. Even if you're sure something is true, it must be verifiable before you can add it'. That we have rules for the inclusion of material does not mean Wikipedians have no respect for truth and accuracy, just as a court's reliance on rules of evidence does not mean the court does not respect truth. Wikipedia values accuracy, but it requires verifiability.

I won't engage with you further until you stop throwing around insults and abuse, and start assuming good faith. Robby.is.on (talk) 12:27, 4 March 2021 (UTC)

Law and Justice and Fidesz

Hello mate! I've noticed on my talk page, that you have left a message for me. Listen, did you readed the news ? The Law and Justice is the political party brother of the Fidesz hungarian political party, because they are same Euroskepticism ideology, Anti-Migration, Anti-Abortion, Anti-Communist and Anti-Liberal ideology have got these two political parties. That's why the media calls the Law and Justice the brother of the Fidesz, because these ideologicalism, do you know that mate ? That Law and Justice is a Pro-Hungarian friend, and Anti-George Soros (Anti-Soros György) ideology, that these parties are hates George Soros, because of the Migrationism, and the Illegal Migrationism. Do you understand now mate ? It's not fake, it's real! I'am speaking perfectly English and Hungary language, so, that's why that needs a source, you know what i mean, right ? :) The Fidesz is no longer the member of the European People's Party Group, because of the Illegal Migration think, and the George Soros think, and the CEU think. :) So, that's why the Fidesz is quited from the EPP Group, and soon they are quits from the European People's Party, and possibly joining the Identity and Democracy, or the European Conservatives and Reformists Group, but we must wait, let the Fidesz thinking about these Euroskeptic Groups of the European Parliament. :) So mate, did you heared the news about the Fidesz, that hungarian political party is leaved the European People's Party Group ? :) If you heared, that you're now know the truth! :) Have nice day mate! --TomFZ67 (talk) 20:34, 6 March 2021 (UTC)

@TomFZ67: Hi. I explained why I reverted your addition on your Talk page. Here are two central snippets: "you didn't provide a reliable source" and "if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so". This is not about whether what you what added is true or not – content on Wikipedia needs be sourced; see WP:VERIFY. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 20:52, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
@Robby.is.on: Alright mate, i understand! :) You can see any sources of the Websites, English, Hungary, Polish, Germany, French, or other languages. :) Brother party of Fidesz means Fidesz testvér pártja in Hungarian language. :) That's a correct language, that writed it. :) Later. --TomFZ67 (talk) 20:58, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
@TomFZ67: Please don't address me with "mate", I find it annoying.
Are you sure you understand? If you want the content included, you need to actually include the sources you mention as citations in the article, not just tell me about them. I won't do the work for you. ;-) Robby.is.on (talk) 21:02, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
@Robby.is.on: Look, i didn't annoyed and i didn't bullied you. :) I can do this, but i need some website, to do this source think. :) I can find it, just finding some sources on the Websites, and i can add it to the Law and Justice's ideology, okay ? :) I'am a friendly guy, so don't panic, i didn't annoyed and not bullied you, i just want to be friendly, and not angry and mad at you, or someone else. :) And i'am calm, so i'am not mad and not angry at you. :) Look, i'm gonna find the source of the Law and Justice and the Fidesz's sources on the political party of the brother parties, you know what i mean, right ? :) --TomFZ67 (talk) 21:07, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
@TomFZ67: No problem. Go ahead. :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 21:08, 6 March 2021 (UTC
@Robby.is.on: Here you go! :) https://24.hu/kozelet/2017/05/25/4-mondat-a-a-fidesz-lengyel-testverparjanak-elnoketol-amiket-orban-szomoruan-olvas-majd/, https://www.napi.hu/nemzetkozi_gazdasag/veszjelzest_kapott_a_fidesz_testverpartja.660514.html, https://www.napi.hu/nemzetkozi_gazdasag/nagy_manoverbe_kezdett_a_fidesz_testverpartja.713498.html, there you go! :) These 3 Websites are Hungarian language, not English. :( I'm sorry, but you don't speak Hungarian language, but you only speak English language, just like me. :) Testvérpártja means Brother party, or Party brother in English, you know what Party Brother means right ? :) The Momentum Movement's Party Brother is the Romanian USR, which leads by Dan Barna, they are both liberals, and member of the Renew Europe liberal party group, so, they are really party brothers, one Romanian and one Hungarian liberal party. :) That's why the Fidesz and the Law and Justice are really Party Brothers, because of the Conservative ideology thing, and the Eurosceptic ideology thing. You know now that ? :) --TomFZ67 (talk) 21:16, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
@TomFZ67: Please remember what I wrote earlier: "If you want the content included, you need to actually include the sources you mention as citations in the article, not just tell me about them." If you are unsure how to do that, I suggest you post to the Talk page of the "Law and Justice" article: Talk:Law and Justice. Robby.is.on (talk) 21:24, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
@Robby.is.on: Alright, thanks! :) Now i understand that! :) You can use the Google Translate, or the other Translate Websites, you can learn the Hungarian language, for the little, if you want it. :) I understand you, so i'am doing my job, and everything is going to be great! :) Have nice day! :) --TomFZ67 (talk) 21:33, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
@Robby.is.on: It is done! :) Check the Law and Justice Talk Page, that you find it, what i writed it! :) It is long writes, that i writed it in the talk page, check this out! :) Have nice day! :) --TomFZ67 (talk) 21:44, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for posting to the Law and Justice Talk page, @TomFZ67:. There hasn't been a lot of activity there recently, so it might take a few days for someone to respond. Robby.is.on (talk) 21:48, 6 March 2021 (UTC)

Two spaces after full stop

Hi Robby. As far as I'm aware, there is no consensus either way on this issue (which is why MOS:DOUBLESPACE includes how "some editors type two spaces after a period/full stop" and does not state a preference). I haven't seen any indication that "most editors prefer single spaces" in my years of editing. Just because something was done in the past without consensus is not a reason to do the same thing again. And per MOS:STYLEVAR, "Edit-warring over style, or enforcing optional style in a bot-like fashion without prior consensus, is never acceptable". Cheers! —Bloom6132 (talk) 21:47, 6 March 2021 (UTC)

@Bloom6132: Thanks for reaching out. The vast majority of articles I have seen have single spaces. To me, that would definitely suggest a preference.
As to the Chisnall article specifically: the article is pretty old and was written with single spaces. I know your contributions there are significant but I think the right thing to do when adding content is to adhere to the existing style. Compare MOS:DATERET: "If an article has evolved using predominantly one date format, this format should be used throughout the article, unless there are reasons for changing it based on strong national ties to the topic or consensus on the article's talk page." Why would we treat spaces differently? Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 21:55, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
Thanks very much for explaining! I actually forgot how old the article is (mixed it up with another one I was editing recently and thought c. 2010). Cheers! —Bloom6132 (talk) 22:54, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
You're welcome. Happy editing! :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 23:01, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
