It's an interesting idea, but I don't think it will really work. Most of the articles in the subcategories of Category:Crime victims are there because the crime is notable. This isn't true of most of the people in your category. It also probably violates WP:BLP in some way. I encourage you to bring the issue to WP:BLPN to get more opinions. Hi! I wanted to let you know that we have created an IRC channel for "countering systemic bias one new editor at a time", aka closing the gender gap! Come hang out at #wikimedia-gendergap if that subject interests you. Hi. When you recently edited Sherry Argov, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Cosmopolitan and Glamour (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Prince Charles[edit]

He was only "Prince Charles of Edinburgh" until he was about four years old. Thereafter, he was Duke of Cornwall. Then in 1958, something like 23 years before he married, he was invested Prince of Wales. -Rrius (talk) 22:50, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

He was William of Wales until the morning of his wedding when he was created Duke of Cambridge, but Charles was a different case. He became Duke of Cornwall by virtue of being the heir apparent the moment his mother became Queen. And he was created Prince of Wales while still a boy. Even Andrew, who is the better comparison, was simply "The Prince Andrew" rather than "Andrew of Edinburgh" because he was the son of the monarch, rather than simply the son of a royal peer (as William was). -Rrius (talk) 20:48, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Alex Goot, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 02:03, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Minerva97. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Alex Goot".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Alex Goot}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. —Anne Delong (talk) 22:27, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

April 2021[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into List of career achievements by Lewis Hamilton. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Joseph2302 (talk) 19:11, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You have failed to attribute the list article as being copied as required. Please fix this as soon as possible. Joseph2302 (talk) 19:12, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Joseph2302: I know how to move articles, but I don't know how to move sections. How do I move sections along with their history? Minerva (talk to me) 20:02, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You cant move their history, what you need to do is place {{copied}} (and fill it with the relevant details) on Talk:Lewis Hamilton and Talk:List of career achievements by Lewis Hamilton.

Category:Images of Gabrielle Aplin‎‎[edit]

Hi Minerva97. I've nominated Category:Images of Gabrielle Aplin‎‎ for deletion since it is empty. Of course, I didn't leave you much time to put something in the category so you might think this is premature but here's my rationale. Images of Gabrielle Aplin are either free images (in which case they should be moved to Commons (see Commons:Category:Gabrielle Aplin‎‎) or they are not free (in which case they should be deleted per WP:NFCC). In any case, there's no need for Category:Images of Gabrielle Aplin. Note also that we have Category:Gabrielle Aplin album covers. Cheers, Pichpich (talk) 21:04, 17 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Minerva97. I also changed the files you put in Category:Images of Calvin Harris, moving anything that was an album cover into the more appropriate Category:Calvin Harris album covers. Note that most of the image files, such as File:Calvin Harris - By Your Side.jpg, do not even contain an image of Harris so please be careful when performing this type of categorization in the future. Thanks. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 16:11, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:35, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Category you just created and populated[edit]

With regard to Category:Missing people found deceased, a couple of years back a very similar category that we had had was deleted. Now in retrospect I don't think it should have been, but this is just a heads-up as someone else might make the same CfD nomination and you have put in a lot of work that might be for nought.
