Hi Kelmaa. Well done on getting the article accepted. I hope you don't mind that I added a sentence pointing out that Samed is not nearly as tall as originally supposed. This article would make a good entry to the WP:DYK section on the main page (see link for details). However, it may be a little too short at present to meet the requirements. You'll have a week from today to develop it, which would be good experience for you and will drive readers to the article. Good luck if you decide to go ahead with this! Mike Turnbull (talk) 18:14, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your edits. I appreciate that. I also noted that they some articles are reporting different lengths for his height.
Also, I did not know about WP:DYK before this. I will work on the article and see if it will qualify to make entry to the WP:DYK section. Thank you Kelmaa (talk) 18:23, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Sulemana Abdul Samed[edit]

Hello, Kelmaa,

Thank you for creating Sulemana Abdul Samed.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Phrases like "That has seen his height grow is" is grammatically incorrect and confusing. There numerous other grammar mistakes. A nice article about a notable subject. Thank you for contributing!

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Shushugah}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Daniel Vorcaro moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Daniel Vorcaro. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it is promotional and reads like an advertisement and you may have a possible Conflict of Interest. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Jamiebuba (talk) 21:58, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the review. I had stated in the talk page of the article that "I wish to disclose it is a paid contribution by someone known as Mino Mazzamati." I never noted earlier the parts that appeared as promotional but I have since edited. I will also look at it again. Thank you! Kelmaa (talk) 22:19, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The solution here should have been to improve the draft article, not do what you did which was to request deletion of the draft and then recreate the exact same article. Do anything similar again where you have a conflict of interest, and you will be blocked from editing. SmartSE (talk) 16:51, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
And oh look, you did the exact same thing at Draft:Panto glasses. SmartSE (talk) 16:56, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Smartse I made some changes and removed parts that may have read as promotional. I also did not think that the process I used was wrong and I apologize for that. Kelmaa (talk) 16:57, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon

Hello Kelmaa. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Kelmaa. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Kelmaa|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. UtherSRG (talk) 18:01, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the message. The only article I have a conflict of interest is the latest one that has been draftified on Daniel Vorcaro and I have disclosed that in the talk. All the other edits have been voluntary and no compensation was received. Kelmaa (talk) 18:06, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The disclosure needs to go on your userpage, as instructed above. - UtherSRG (talk) 18:13, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, I just did it. I thought I only needed to do it in the articles talk page. Kelmaa (talk) 18:27, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Links to draft articles[edit]

Information icon Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Restoque. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 13:25, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Caught by an open proxy block, but this host or IP is not an open proxy. My IP address is _______ (I'm not sure where to get my IP). I just tried to make some changes, and it says my IP has been blocked. I have not changed anything except ISP. I changed my initial ISP (Liquid Telkom) and now I'm using the internet that is installed in our apartment (Safaricom fibre). I'm not sure exactly why my IP have been blocked from editing. Please help me understand what is the issue and also unblock the IP. cc: User:ST47 .... Kelmaa (talk) 14:20, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

The IP should appear in the message you get when you attempt to edit. If not, you can use a tool like whatismyip dot com to determine it, googling "what is my ip" may work too. 331dot (talk) 16:25, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Daniel Vorcaro moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Daniel Vorcaro, is not suitable as written to remain published. It appears there is a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As per WP policy, please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 11:19, 27 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, there is conflict of interest which I already disclosed in the article, my user page and article's talk page that this is paid editing. I have referenced almost all information and in some cases, I used multiple references to verify the information. Kelmaa (talk) 11:35, 27 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Jim Rogers (Oklahoma politician) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jim Rogers (Oklahoma politician). When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. @Wikishovel I realized the article had been deleted previously when I was linking the article with the 2012 Democratic Party presidential primaries. A tag has been placed on James Grier requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

Your page move created the redirect, see [1] and [2], which was what was tagged for speedy deletion, not the article. The redirect did not meet the criteria for WP:G14 as it does not end in "disambiguation", so I removed the tag due to lack of eligibility. The redirect may still be deleted for other reasons, for example to make way for a move. 2601:5CC:8300:A7F0:24DE:F159:39FF:48EF (talk) 18:04, 7 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
