K. Annamalai (I.P.S)[edit]

K. Annamalai (I.P.S) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View log · Stats)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

Just a random IPS Officer among thousands and thousands, who left his job to join a political party as a basic low level party worker. Fails WP:NPOL and doesn't even come closer to WP:BLP1E.

The present article is a copy of a previously hijacked article of K. Annamalai who is a Member of the legislative assembly, during the start of this year [1], till a user reverted it back to its previous revision before the hijack here. The present unverified image in the article also seems like a screenshot from a youtube video which could be also violate the copyright policy.

This subject is not notable in any way to have an article on Wikipedia and the article is written like a promotion of his biography. The older versions form the hijacked page even had highly promotional content with no citations here which highly suspects of WP:PAID editng and WP:COI. I suggest to delete the article for now and wait till anything develops reason being wikipedia is not a soapbox and biographical host for every person. • Keep He seems to be notable civil servant with good following from coastal districts in Karnataka. Various newspaper and media articles highlight his honest service to Indian police. It is worth noting that his transfer during service invoked protests from common citizens who referred as Singham of Karnataka.[1]. "Singam/Singham" is recent epiphet (after 2010 blockbuster Hindi movie Singham) in India to indicate a honest police officer. Within a week of joining a political party, he was appointed as vice-president of TN BJP unit.[2] It is advised to contribute to this article as per wikipedia norms. • Apart from saying he's "singham" and "joined BJP", there's nothing substantive, we need something other than this to establish notability per WP:BLP1E. --Ab207 (talk) 21:15, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
