Welcome, but please take it slow[edit]

Hello, welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for your contributions, but could you please go through the Introduction to Wikipedia to familiarize yourself with some of the policies. I've reverted some of your edits - for eg, these edits go against MOS:HEADCAPS and MOS:OVERLINK, this changes meaning (because you added "scare quotes" and hence reliable sourcing, this introduced typos with no actual improvement and so on. With a little care and focus towards Wikipedia's Manual of Style, your contributions can be much more helpful to the project. Hemanthah (talk) 16:50, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hamid Abtahi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ✠ SunDawn ✠ (contact) 00:16, 29 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 00:43, 29 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I thought making an article about my family member would be a good thing, I had no idea that I was harming Wikipedia. I will be much more careful next time. Informational Text (talk) 00:56, 29 October 2022 (UTC) Informational Text[reply]

Request reason:

I think that my block was unfair because I was only editing and writing an article about a deceased family member which I did not know was violating Wikipedia guidelines. When I made the article, I was not aware that I was advertising an external source, and that it was unnecessary. I had absolutely no intent for harming Wikipedia. I also did not know much about the style or format of editing that is used in Wikipedia. I believe my block needed more consideration as I am an inexperienced editor, and that I thought I was doing a valid action within the site. As there was no warning in advance that what I was doing was wrong, and that I'm a relatively new user and editor, I think my block was unfair. The fact that my article that I worked hard on was deleted, and my account was blocked, all within a small period of time seems unfair. I will be much more careful next time to just stick with the initiative of editing, and expanding articles. I will read and use the manual of editing within Wikipedia to learn more about the proper style of editing on the site. I will not create any articles until I become very much experienced with editing, and the policies of Wikipedia. I will be sure to not make any other mistakes such as the ones I have committed in result of the block. Informational Text (talk) 13:42, 29 October 2022 (UTC) Informational Text[reply]

Decline reason:

One clarifications first. The "advertorial" side of the speedy deletion and block were more about the subject (your family member) being non-neutrally written - not that you were advertising the source linked. I also looked at your gnome edits (not "knome", although pronounced the same way) - and as was warned in the post above on your talk page, there are quite a few issues with them. Some are productive, but others are not. I do believe that you could be unblocked, subject to not editing about your family members, but you need to show your edits will trend towards being useful.

I'd suggest the following: have a read of Help:Intro (visual editor pathway) and have a read of what some other editors are doing on some active pages. You can click the "history" tab to see. Make a new appeal, and below it, propose and write-out a few edits that you would make to different articles (including sourcing etc). Nosebagbear (talk) 00:37, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Some edits that I will/might contribute to Wikipedia include the following (if unblocked). (Some problems that are listed might of been fixed when submitted)

In the article Maru Pradesh, the phrase: “The proposed state consists of Barmer district,” needs to be edited as the word “of” should be followed by “the.” “The Proposed state consists of the Barmer district.” In the article Maru Pradesh, the phrase: “Jodhpur and Bikaner State strongly opposed the merger of Rajasthan, and both these states were in favor of creating a desert state,” needs to be edited as some words are unnecessary, and can be deleted. The final version of the phrase should look like: “Jodhpur and Bikaner State strongly opposed the merger of Rajasthan, but both states were in favor of creating a desert state. In the article Tose (company) The phrase: “is a Japanese video game development company based in Kyoto,” should state that Kyoto is located in Japan. This is due to the fact that a company of japanese origin and foundation can be based in another country. The edited version should look like: “is a Japanese video game development company based in Kyoto, Japan.” In the article Marcia Kure, the phrase: “stating that she "[tries] to make an argument for people who do not have a defined space,” the word “tries” does not require brackets. The edited version should look like: “stating that she "tries to make an argument for people who do not have a defined space” In the article Konkuk University, the sentence “It gives comprehensive education in agricultural and life science research,” is an opinion. The word “comprehensive” is an opinion, and not factual, the word should be simply deleted. The edited version should look like this: “It gives education in agricultural and life science research.” The article “List of radio stations in Singapore,” should consider to include another source. https://www.radio-singapore.com/ includes a list of radio stations which is included in the article. It includes podcasts within the source. In the article “AIR National” it states that the radio station is no longer running as represented through past-tense tone. But a sentence states that “It broadcasts from 06.48 pm in evening to next morning 06.12 am.” The word “broadcasts” should be edited to “broadcasted.” The word “in needs to be followed with the word “the,” and the same goes with the word “to.” The fact that pm and am are being stated in the sentence makes it so that the words “evening,” and “next morning” do not need to be included. The word “it” at the start of the sentence can be replaced with “The station.” Final version: “The station broadcasted from 06:48 pm to 06:12 am.” In the article, the sentence “The programmes of National Channel are radiated by One Megawatt Transmitter from centrally located place i.e. Nagpur(Mtrs. 191.6 M - 1566 kHz.), 500 kW, from Kolkata from 11.00 PM ( Mtrs. 264.5 M - 1134 kHz.) and 20 kW Transmitter at Delhi ( Mtrs.246.9 M - 1215 kHz.) and two SW transmitters at 9425 kHz & 9470 kHz at Bangalore and Aligarh respectively. National channel's office cum studios is situated at Todapur (West Delhi),” has many problems. The words “one,” and “transmitter” should be lowercase, the linked word “Nagpur” should have a space following it, and the word “Mtrs.” in each parentheses should have a backspace before it as it is not formal to insert parentheses, make a space, and then start your bracketed word. Edited example: “The programmes of National Channel are radiated by one megawatt transmitter from Nagpur (Mtrs. 191.6 M - 1566 kHz), 500 kW, from Kolkata from 11.00 PM (Mtrs. 264.5 M - 1134 kHz) and 20 kW Transmitter at Delhi (Mtrs.246.9 M - 1215 kHz) and two SW transmitters at 9425 kHz & 9470 kHz at Bangalore(wikilink) and Aligarh(wikilink) respectively. National Channel's studios are situated at Todapur(wikilink)

Decline reason:

I'm disinclined to unblock at this time, as the majority of the proposed edits described in the request are either unnecessary or actively counter-productive. signed, Rosguill talk 22:29, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
