Wikipedia and copyright[edit]
Hello Emoritz2017, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Immortality have been removed, as they appear to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. Responding to your email. If you are the copyright holder and wish to release this material under a compatible license, please see WP:Donating copyrighted materials for an explanation of how to do it. There's a sample permission email at WP:Consent. However, citing your own work is not appropriate, because it's considered original research, so it's not a good addition to the article regardless of the copyright issue. Yuasa Phenomenon[edit]
Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Yuasa Phenomenon. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. - Hi Emoritz2017, I received your email but prefer to keep such discussions on-wiki. According to WP:NFCC, non-free content on Wikipedia should be used
only where no free equivalent is available, or could be created, that would serve the same encyclopedic purpose

The reason that I undid your addition to Fusion power, and noted it as possible WP:BOOKSPAM in the edit summary, is that you gave book title, author and description directly in the text without giving any information from the book about fusion power. It is not my intention to question your intentions, expertise, or the value of the book. Even good faith edits can be spam, as described in WP:BOOKSPAM, which also suggests how to avoid it. If the book has useful and verifiable information relating to fusion power then please summarize or paraphrase that information in your own words and add it to the article, citing the source. - Thank you for reviewing and the commentary. I do appreciate the challenges of getting things just right, and I do appreciate your and every editor's and reviewer's involvement in checking and improving articles. Sometimes it helps planting a seed and hoping others come by, water the grounds and fertilize and improve the articles, and remove whatever stray weeds sprout... Hopefully, this article gets more folks involved. A hundred years ago, physicists felt that they're pretty much on track 'knowing everything' and what they didn't know were just details to work out. It turns out now that, looking at Dark Matter and Dark Energy that (at least to our current 2023 understanding) makes up most of the 'stuff' in the universe. So we don't really know as much as we thought, in fact, turns out we have no idea of how much we don't know.
