Very Best

Best wishes for the holidays
Wishing you and yours moderate merriment over the holiday season. ps, have been following your lists, and am deeply impressed; I mean visually they are stunning and so informative :) Ceoil (talk) 16:20, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
Always makes me smile to see your name ... and such a nice sentiment! Lists are underrated IMO in their ability to help people get up to speed on a new topic. If you have any opinions on this, one of these days, please come say something (good, bad or otherwise), even if it's just a drive-by comment, in one of my FLC noms ... hopefully that will ignite a conversation among reviewers about what makes a good (or bad) introductory or survey course (note the red link! incredible what Wikipedians aren't interested in, sometimes.) - Dank (push to talk) 16:45, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
Sounds like a plan to me Dan. One of the articles that cemented my admiration of what wiki was capable of, back in the day, was Language of flowers (which looking at now seems less than what it was in 2006, if you remember User:TimVickers). Ceoil (talk) 17:01, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
Tim reverted an edit to that article in 2008, so I read that version ... very nice! - Dank (push to talk) 17:14, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
Ok from a 20 minute scan am totally absorbed. I'll be watching. Ceoil (talk) 17:27, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
Wonderful. - Dank (push to talk) 17:29, 30 December 2022 (UTC)

Plant lists connections

Hey, just promoted the lilioid list, so that's another one done- the lamiid list will probably be following soon as well. Seems like your FLC nominations get a lot of reviewer attention, which is great! I had a thought when I was looking it over, which I don't know how useful it is: in the mammal lists I've been doing, there's a box at the bottom ({{Mammal lists}}) that connects all of the lists, and as I've been creating more lists its been getting structured more and more to mirror the hierarchies of groupings in mammalia. Would it make sense to have such a template for the plant lists you've been doing? You do have that seealso template at the top that links the three monocot lists, but there's nothing that then links to reader off to e.g. the eudicots lists you've been doing, or just angiosperms in general, and it doesn't seem like an angiosperm/flowering plants lists template would be awry. Also, while I was writing this, I realized there's actually not a lot of links from the "order" pages to your lists; unless I missed something, Lilioid monocots doesn't link to your lilioid list, nor Asterids to anything. I tend to add main/seealso links like Afrosoricida#Phylogeny to the afrosoricid list, so I was surprised. Anyways, hope to see more lists coming through FLC from you! --PresN 01:35, 20 January 2023 (UTC)

I'll get to work on that. Thanks much for your help, it means a lot. - Dank (push to talk) 02:12, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
For a relevant navbox, I can't do better (and shouldn't try!) than Template:Angiosperm orders, which appears on pages such as rosids. For incoming links from other pages, probably "See also" links would work (in cases where most of one of my lists is relevant to the topic). - Dank (push to talk) 13:36, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
For a new navbox just for these family lists: sounds interesting. Maybe after I know how the pieces fit together. - Dank (push to talk) 16:30, 20 January 2023 (UTC)

fresh flowers for you! - My story on 24 February is about Artemy Vedel (TFA by Amitchell235), and I made a suggestion for more peace, - what do you think? -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:49, 24 February 2023 (UTC)

No thanks. Over the years, I've spent less and less time trying to keep up with wiki-issues that don't affect me. So, "no", and that goes for pretty much all of them. - Dank (push to talk) 00:04, 25 February 2023 (UTC)

Help

Dan, I rightfully got the living daylights kicked out of me on the FAC for Tomb of Philippe Pot, which did pass, but after about 1000 edits. You have a lovely and spare writing style, so request is that you help ce my next offering, which is likely to be either the Tandragee Idol or Tara Brooch, and maybe scold and warn where am making grammatical errors (we didn't leant this stuff in 1970s Ireland. If you have time when am ready for your input would be hugely appreciated, but if busy no worries. Ceoil (talk) 18:03, 25 March 2023 (UTC)

I'm never too busy for you. I'm not a great writer of ... well, anything really ... but I know a thing or two that will help articles pass review, so sure, I'm in. I need to fix a few of my lists first, though. - Dank (push to talk) 18:10, 25 March 2023 (UTC)
*Delighted*. I'll focus in one one so and give you plenty warning so time commitments arent a prob. You the man. Ceoil (talk) 18:24, 25 March 2023 (UTC)

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

@Shhhnotsoloud: I don't have a position on whether the most recent edit made the page speedy-able, but the version of the page before that was the result of an WP:RM discussion. I just reverted your edit and the edit before that one. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help. - Dank (push to talk) 19:08, 1 April 2023 (UTC)

Broken sfn references

TFL notification

Hi, Dank. I'm just posting to let you know that List of basal eudicot families – a list that you have been heavily involved with – has been chosen to appear on the Main Page as Today's featured list for May 19. The TFL blurb can be seen here. If you have any thoughts on the selection, please post them on my talk page or at TFL talk. Regards, Giants2008 (Talk) 00:37, 7 May 2023 (UTC)

Hi Dank, would really, really appreciate if you work your magic on the prose for this article. Have a bit more to add, but would like to refine/repair what there before that and moving it towards a GA nom. There is no pressure here re time or anything, if or when you get a chance. Best as always. Ceoil (talk) 17:07, 12 May 2023 (UTC)

Sure, it may be a few days. - Dank (push to talk) 18:48, 12 May 2023 (UTC)
