Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from 2012 Oregon state elections into 2012 Oregon Secretary of State election. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 16:33, 15 June 2020 (UTC)
Prove that "NP" is an honorific suffix for notaries public
[edit]Please comply with the Wikipedia verifiability policy by going back to all the articles where you added "NP" as an honorific suffix and adding a citation to a reliable source showing that such usage is reasonably common. Justin Amash
[edit]Thanks for your work in Wikipedia and for your good faith edits on 2020 United States House of Representatives elections; however, the consensus has been that Justin Amash should not be in the infobox on the page. No WP:RS have identified him as the Libertarian Party leader in the House, and he doesn't even make the claim on his Facebook or Twitter pages. He is the only Libertarian Party member of Congress, but that doesn't make him parallel to the majority leader and minority leader. Carter (talk) 23:04, 9 July 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hi PortlandSaint, I reverted your edit to American Empire because the article United States does not mention the expression. The article Chris Barreto has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:NPOL.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. AleatoryPonderings (talk) 03:55, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
Mary Hull Caballero moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Mary Hull Caballero, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. [edit]Hi PortlandSaint! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at 2024 Portland, Oregon City Council election that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Announced temple pages
[edit]I noticed you were the author of Wichita Kansas Temple. This is an announced temple and not one that's under construction or dedicated. I can't remember the page, but there was consensus to not have pages for announced temples and that all of their information is located in the template in the LDS in [country/state]. In this case LDS in Kansas as well as List of temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A couple of years ago, I had created a few of these temples and they were all removed. Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. [edit]Hello, I'm Graywalls. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Rene Gonzalez (politician), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please do not add/modify contents based on your personal knowledge without proper sourcing, as you did here on Rene Gonzalez page, especially biography articles on living people.
