Jess X Snow update[edit]

Hello, I just wanted to let you know that I've provided sources for the majority of the films in my filmography. Would that qualify it to be added to the page? Thank you! 2600:4040:9840:2800:345D:278:4427:95A6 (talk) 17:08, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, sorry for missing your reply. I've taken a look at your request, and the Beauty Salon and the Hiding Place film should preferably have something other than the video itself. Everything else seems fine, however, so I'll add those in once I get home in a few hours. Thanks for following up! ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 17:16, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much! There isn't really any publication that can back up those films, so I was hoping those might count since it at least proves they are real films that exist. That said, if it doesn't meet standards I totally understand. 100.33.96.222 (talk) 00:09, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Jamesthepilot (10:47, 5 March 2024)[edit]

Someone has archived an edit I made as I didn’t have a reference. I now have a reference. How can I find, edit and resubmit my edit --Jamesthepilot (talk) 10:47, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Jamesthepilot: Hi, it should be in the page history. One of your edits has been redacted, however, so that edit is not accessible for non-administrators. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 13:43, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I think in concert with an editor that was checking my update we have managed to get a properly referenced and appropriate update. Jamesthepilot (talk) 14:31, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Glad to hear that! ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 15:30, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Siwan, Bihar[edit]

Thanks for this. I had full reverted and revdel tagged in similar edits before. But today, since some (especially from the history part) looked salvageable, I thought of tagging it, hoping someone might reword it . - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:59, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No problem! I didn't delete the entire history portion, since some of it is fine, but it's probably best to remove copyvios when they appear. Thanks for tagging! ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 23:19, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello ARandomName123!

Can you please review my draft, Pinecrest Lakes Academy to make sure it could be accepted as a real article.

Review tool suggestion[edit]

Thanks for setting up this tool for WP:FEB24. Could you add a way for if no results displays it says something like, "there are no results for User [x] because they have no articles to review or all have already been reviewed"? I was a bit confused initially thinking that some users weren't working, but I think it just doesn't display anything if a user's entries have all been reviewed. --Engineerchange (talk) 20:50, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Engineerchange:  Done. Took longer than I expected because I accidentally put == instead of = in a line of code, and I didn't catch it for a while😅. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 22:08, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Joseph Phua[edit]

You helped me by replacing content on the article for Joseph Phua and removed the warning from the top. The original editor added the warning back and said, "once someone has confirmed that they feel the content is NPOV the tag can be removed." I assumed this was part of the process when the request was made. I am making the request for the review as I understand it may be a different process. I am wondering if you are able to assist. RFA2024 update: no longer accepting new proposals in phase I[edit]

Hey there! This is to let you know that phase I of the 2024 requests for adminship (RfA) review is now no longer accepting new proposals. Lots of proposals remain open for discussion, and the current round of review looks to be on a good track towards making significant progress towards improving RfA's structure and environment. I'd like to give my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has given us their idea for change to make RfA better, and the same to everyone who has given the necessary feedback to improve those ideas. The following proposals remain open for discussion:

  • Proposal 2, initiated by HouseBlaster, provides for the addition of a text box at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship reminding all editors of our policies and enforcement mechanisms around decorum.
  • Proposals 3 and 3b, initiated by Barkeep49 and Usedtobecool, respectively, provide for trials of discussion-only periods at RfA. The first would add three extra discussion-only days to the beginning, while the second would convert the first two days to discussion-only.
  • Proposal 5, initiated by SilkTork, provides for a trial of RfAs without threaded discussion in the voting sections.
  • Proposals 6c and 6d, initiated by BilledMammal, provide for allowing users to be selected as provisional admins for a limited time through various concrete selection criteria and smaller-scale vetting.
  • Proposal 7, initiated by Lee Vilenski, provides for the "General discussion" section being broken up with section headings.
  • Proposal 9b, initiated by Reaper Eternal, provides for the requirement that allegations of policy violation be substantiated with appropriate links to where the alleged misconduct occured.
  • Proposals 12c, 21, and 21b, initiated by City of Silver, Ritchie333, and HouseBlaster, respectively, provide for reducing the discretionary zone, which currently extends from 65% to 75%. The first would reduce it 65%–70%, the second would reduce it to 50%–66%, and the third would reduce it to 60%–70%.
  • Proposal 13, initiated by Novem Lingaue, provides for periodic, privately balloted admin elections.
  • Proposal 14, initiated by Kusma, provides for the creation of some minimum suffrage requirements to cast a vote.
  • Proposals 16 and 16c, initiated by Thebiguglyalien and Soni, respectively, provide for community-based admin desysop procedures. 16 would desysop where consensus is established in favor at the administrators' noticeboard; 16c would allow a petition to force reconfirmation.
  • Proposal 16e, initiated by BilledMammal, would extend the recall procedures of 16 to bureaucrats.
  • Proposal 17, initiated by SchroCat, provides for "on-call" admins and 'crats to monitor RfAs for decorum.
  • Proposal 18, initiated by theleekycauldron, provides for lowering the RfB target from 85% to 75%.
  • Proposal 24, initiated by SportingFlyer, provides for a more robust alternate version of the optional candidate poll.
  • Proposal 25, initiated by Femke, provides for the requirement that nominees be extended-confirmed in addition to their nominators.
  • Proposal 27, initiated by WereSpielChequers, provides for the creation of a training course for admin hopefuls, as well as periodic retraining to keep admins from drifting out of sync with community norms.
  • Proposal 28, initiated by HouseBlaster, tightens restrictions on multi-part questions.

To read proposals that were closed as unsuccessful, please see Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/2024 review/Phase I/Closed proposals. You are cordially invited once again to participate in the open discussions; when phase I ends, phase II will review the outcomes of trial proposals and refine the implementation details of other proposals. Another notification will be sent out when this phase begins, likely with the first successful close of a major proposal. Happy editing! theleekycauldron (talk • she/her), via:

"Ami Dror"[edit]

Draft:Ami Dror

As Israeli, I find it absurde that the English page about this person is defined by you as "not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia.". Dror is one of the key leaders in Israel, Personaly I'm part of a comunitry of close to 100,000 people that follow him daily on his whatsapp groups. (check is social media) - he is being quated and interviewed almost every day etc etc. https://x.com/faniaoz/status/1771595428573712817?s=20

I edited parts that were wrong, and this page need to be restored ASAP as it makes Wikipedia looks like a political tool which tries to hide the people that are working to change the Israeli goverment.

Thank you, Gili2011 (talk) 07:29, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Gili2011: Hi, where did I define it as "not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia."? The last time I declined it, it was for lack of reliable sources. Please contact the rejecting editor instead. Thanks. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 12:31, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from TheRealLee5555 (17:06, 26 March 2024)[edit]

Hi! The first article I submitted was declined. I thought my references met the four criteria, but the editor thought otherwise. How can I improve my references (I sourced every statement and used third party sources and sites to reference the facts)? I find it challenging to provide information on small companies that may not get coverage in national publications. Any suggestions?? --TheRealLee5555 (talk) 17:06, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@TheRealLee5555: Hi, I'm going to assume the article is Draft:Pro REIT. First things first, you should probably get rid of the big table at the top. If you're trying to get those side boxes, please take a look at {{Infobox company}}. Regarding the sources, please note that standard business announcements (like funding announcements), profiles, don't confer any notability.
Sources don't have to be national publications, but they should be reliable, secondary and have large amounts of coverage on the subject. (Ex. an article on it) ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 17:14, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Happy to get rid of the big table at the top. I was, in fact, trying to create a company infobox, so thank you for the link! CoStar and RealEstateNews.ca are independent industry publications in Canada, so those sources are not standard business announcements. I did use a news release from TMX - the Toronto Stock Exchange - it would be like a news release on a company from the NYSE - is that not a reliable source? Does Yahoo! Finance not count as an independent source? It is very difficult to find sources for small companies. Would it be more appropriate to get a Canadian editor who might understand the media landscape in Canada? Any help would be appreciated. TheRealLee5555 (talk) 17:44, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@TheRealLee5555: Hi, fyi, things like news releases are usable to verify basic facts, but don't count towards notability, which is what you need to get your article accepted. Standard announcements include "the hiring, promotion, or departure of personnel," which is the CoStar source, and "quarterly or annual financial results and earning forecasts," which is the RENX source. Please see WP:ORGTRIV. The Yahoo! Finance source can be used, but does not count towards notability since it doesn't have much accompanying text/prose.
Please keep in mind that the large majority of small companies do not receive enough coverage for inclusion. Regarding Canadian editors, they're pretty common (I'm a Canadian, for example, see my user page). ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 17:57, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. Very happy you are Canadian! Also, very much appreciate the insight into references. I guess I will have to keep this page in draft for the time being until I can find sources other than RENX and CoStar. Thank you for your time. TheRealLee5555 (talk) 18:12, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, would you be able to these articles? They include 'Shastry Viruddh Shastry,' 'UT69,' and 'Fairy Folk.' I've noticed they haven't been reviewed by other users yet, and since you've kindly reviewed two of my previous articles, I thought I'd reach out to you for your insights. @Grabup: I've marked all of them as reviewed. Since you've been writing a lot of Indian movie articles, WP:ICTFSOURCES may be useful to identify reliable sources. Thanks for your work! ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 03:13, 29 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Grabup: Hi, two (Woh Bhi Din The and The Boys (2024 film)) have already been reviewed by other reviewers. I've marked Dukaan as reviewed, but left Turbo (2024 film) since I'm not familiar with assessing notability if the film hasn't been released yet. New Pages Patrol newsletter April 2024[edit]

Hello ARandomName123,

New Page Review queue January to March 2024

Backlog update: The October drive reduced the article backlog from 11,626 to 7,609 and the redirect backlog from 16,985 to 6,431! Congratulations to Schminnte, who led with over 2,300 points.

Following that, New Page Patrol organized another backlog drive for articles in January 2024. The January drive started with 13,650 articles and reduced the backlog to 7,430 articles. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 1,340 points in this drive.

Looking at the graph, it seems like backlog drives are one of the only things keeping the backlog under control. Another backlog drive is being planned for May. Feel free to participate in the May backlog drive planning discussion.

It's worth noting that both queues are gradually increasing again and are nearing 14,034 articles and 22,540 redirects. We encourage you to keep contributing, even if it's just a single patrol per day. Your support is greatly appreciated!

2023 Awards

Onel5969 won the 2023 cup with 17,761 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 50/day. There was one Platinum Award (10,000+ reviews), 2 Gold Awards (5000+ reviews), 6 Silver (2000+), 8 Bronze (1000+), 30 Iron (360+) and 70 more for the 100+ barnstar. Hey man im josh led on redirect reviews by clearing 36,175 of them. For the full details, see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone for their efforts in reviewing!

WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers deployed the rewritten NewPagesFeed in October, and then gave the NewPagesFeed a slight visual facelift in November. This concludes most major work to Special:NewPagesFeed, and most major work by the WMF Moderator Tools team, who wrapped up their major work on PageTriage in October. The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers will continue small work on PageTriage as time permits.

Recruitment: A couple of the coordinators have been inviting editors to become reviewers, via mass-messages to their talk pages. If you know someone who you'd think would make a good reviewer, then a personal invitation to them would be great. Additionally, if there are Wikiprojects that you are active on, then you can add a post there asking participants to join NPP. Please be careful not to double invite folks that have already been invited.

Reviewing tip: Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages within their most familiar subjects can use the regularly updated NPP Browser tool.
