Image without license[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:STARPlus.IndiasRawStar.logoScreenshot.Capture.PNG[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:STARPlus.IndiasRawStar.logoScreenshot.Capture.PNG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 11:45, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on File:NishaAurUskeCousins.screenshot.TVstarplus.Capture.PNG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from URL. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 01:18, 24 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

C&P moves[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Agnes Szatmari a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Ágnes Szatmári. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you. Jared Preston (talk) 17:15, 16 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop making cut-and-paste moves. It violates our license by not crediting the original authors in the page history [1]. I have reverted your cut-and-paste move of WTA Tournament of Champions to WTA Elite Trophy. Wikipedia:Moving a page describes the right way to move a page, but in this case it shouldn't be done without prior discussion, especially not before the 2014 Garanti Koza WTA Tournament of Champions has even been played. WTA Elite Trophy starts in 2015 and we will have to decide whether to treat it as a continuation of WTA Tournament of Champions with a shared article, or create a new article. I would currently support the latter based on what I have seen about the tournament. PrimeHunter (talk) 01:14, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Stop making cut-and-paste moves please! I have reverted your redirect at Proximus Diamond Games and I have requested your new article to be speedily deleted since it duplicates an existing topic. If you want to change the name of an article, use the 'Move' option on the page. This should only be done with prior discussion on the talk page. st170etalk 00:17, 11 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Fortis Diamond Games[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Fortis Diamond Games. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Proximus Diamond Games. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Proximus Diamond Games – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. st170etalk 00:15, 11 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. File permission problem with File:Capture-Veera-StarPlus-screenshotLOGO.PNG[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Capture-Veera-StarPlus-screenshotLOGO.PNG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rotten regard 20:32, 6 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:LoveleenKaurSasan.IndianActress n.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:LoveleenKaurSasan.IndianActress n.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Orphaned non-free image File:STARPlus.IndiasRawStar.logoScreenshot.Capture.PNG[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:STARPlus.IndiasRawStar.logoScreenshot.Capture.PNG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 00:25, 24 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of 2010 Aegon GB Pro-Series Wrexham – Singles[edit]

The article 2010 Aegon GB Pro-Series Wrexham – Singles has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This is a non-notable tournament per Tennis Project Guidelines. It and all the subsequent yearly events do not qualify. Not sure how we missed this event.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Dimpy Ganguli for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Josu4u (talk) 23:13, 14 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Non-free rationale for File:Suhani si ek ladki titlecard 1.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Suhani si ek ladki titlecard 1.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. File source problem with File:Divya-Bharti-1992.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Divya-Bharti-1992.jpg.

Proposed deletion of Louisville International Open[edit]

No references at all; crystal ballish, orphan.

Stevie is the man! Hi there, re: these changes at Ishqbaaaz, you should probably familiarise yourself with WP:TVCAST if you plant to edit TV articles. "Former cast", for example, is not a valid subsection of cast, because it fails to indicate whether the cast member was part of the main or recurring cast, which we would presumably have an academic interest in knowing. Cast members don't cease to be important just because they've left. Typical sections are "Main cast" and "Recurring cast". It's also unclear why you went with a columnar format. This dissuades the introduction of real-world content. For an example of what the goal of that section is, please see List of Millennium characters. Thank you. March 2017[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Diff: [2] In this edit you removed the cleanup template, but numerous problems still existed, such as the Former cast section, and there's also no indication that the list is organized according to how cast members were introduced in the series. You didn't add any edit summaries, so that's still unclear. See WP:TVCAST for guidance, please. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 00:36, 31 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Page protection of Ishqbaaaz[edit]

Re: your recent test edits[3][4][5][6] and your post at Talk:Ishqbaaaz, there's no real reason for this article to be semi-protected at this point, and page protection requests belong at WP:RFPP, not in the article or on its talk page. And as a general rule, new comments don't belong at top of a talk page, they belong at the bottom. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:16, 21 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Re: these, your changes are still not consistent with WP:TVCAST. The guideline is pretty clear:

The cast listing should be ordered according to the original broadcast credits, with new cast members being added to the end of the list. Articles should reflect the entire history of a series, and as such actors remain on the list even after their departure from the series.

Pushing former cast members to the bottom of the cast section is the exact opposite of what the community guideline wants. You should be aware that the phenomenon of stuffing former cast members into a discard pile is unique to Indian television articles, for reasons that are totally unclear and seem derived from "I saw it in another article", rather than being based on established community preferences. The bulk of television articles, including children's cartoon articles, do not do this, so you're basically perpetuating problematic formatting rather than fixing it. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:27, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Shruti Prakash has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NACTOR.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Unnecessary columns[edit]

Hi there, re: this, there's no need for columns when we're dealing with a paltry 2 entries. Television article cast lists typically don't contain columns at all. Last warning about WP:TVCAST[edit]

Re: these, again, "Former cast" is not a valid subsection of cast. This is an encyclopedia, not the Star Plus website. File permission problem with File:Screen Shot 2017-11-15 at 12.26.07 PM.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Screen Shot 2017-11-15 at 12.26.07 PM.png.

Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the confirms on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. Request reason:

Hi there, I understand I have been blocked due to mistakes I have made in the past, however I am a committed editor and would appreciate it if you could unblock me. I have absolute no intention to disobey any Wikipedia guidelines or add any incorrect information, in-fact I always try my best to contribute positively to Wikipedia. It has also been a long time since my account has been blocked, and believe I jave served the time for any mistakes I have made. So, please, accept my request and unblock my account so that I can start contributing to Wikipedia, which is something I enjoy.

Decline reason:

You may have good intentions, but you have not shown that you are heeding the advice given above and changing your behavior. You are not blocked as a punishment or to "serve time", but to protect Wikipedia from your disruption. To be unblocked, you will need to specifically address the reasons for the block as given by the blocking administrator and tell what steps you will take to act differently in the future. As you have not done that here, I am declining this request. 331dot (talk) 08:08, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Your draft article, Draft:Samiksha Singh[edit]
