No no not at all. I am a teacher and I visit this museum as well as the exhibition every year with band of my students and other teachers. I love history do independent research on the subject. Sabarna Sangrahashala and this International exhibition organised by the museum is to know, studey and understand history. This exhibition is simply an event to know so much unknown facts. Moreover all service done by the family members as well as the students towards the museum and exhibition are voluntary. It is a free museum and the exhibition too is free for all. The sole motive is to crteate awareness among students and people about India's rich cultural heritage and also of the sub continent. I decided to write the article for I believe that such wholehearted initiative should be on wikipedia. This exhibition is now an important event in the city, whereby school and college students, foreign visitors as well as history enthusiasts come. Moreover it has now received support from governments of Bhutan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. I was just wondering that you may be related because your name Sucharita Roy Choudhary is somewhat similar to Sabarna Roy Choudhury family which manages the museum and organize(?) this event, and your account username resembles their (supposedly official) website, "devarshi.faithweb.com" ("devarshi.wordpress.com"). Coming back to article: Are you aware of Wikipedia's notability guideline? If not, you should take a look at this page which explains what kind of topics are eligible for inclusion on Wikipedia (for event related articles, we have in particular WP:EVENTCRIT guideline). This year marks a decade for this event, and as you say, it is very popular and internationally acclaimed -- I'm somewhat inclined to believe that it may be notable but I'm not seeing any reliable sources to substantiate these claims. He/She has provided the Bengali sources but none of them are significant.You will have surely seen that a particular section of any newspaper(gen. in the city section) covers about art exhibitions, gallery shows etc. cultural programs etc. going in the city in a line or two.Ref. 2, 5,18 and 29 are so!Two of them just contains a space-filler photograph!Ref. 15, 16 19,20 and 21 are all rubbish references belonging to a paper that is published by the Sabarna family!Ref.24 and 27 is gathered from the political mouthpiece of CPIM(West Bengal) which is by no means a WP:RS.The article mentions a bit about the event and the photo is there showing Biman Bose in the exhibition!(I hope you get the clue why it was published!) I'm sorry if you feel disheartened by comments of fellow editors. Believe me, they do not mean disrespect. I tried to find sources on Google and WikiProject India's custom search engine but the results were not very satisfactory. From existing article, only Times of India (among other English sources) is promising and we need more like that. Anand Bazar Patrika is a reliable source but the coverage of event is trivial, as User:ARUNEEK explained above.

The deletion discussion is usually open for 7-days before an admin evaluates the community consensus (it can be extended beyond 7-days if admin feels the need of more inputs. You can read more about deletion process, here.) As of now, I think, there are not enough reliably sourced contents justify a standalone article and whatever could be sourced can be easily covered in the museum article. @Zigzig20s: Citation format looks fine but I noticed something different with this particular resource. It is accessed via Mid-Continent Public Library not Wikipedia Library. Gale resources which are accessed via TWL on top-right of the page displays, "Wikipedia library"; but in present case, I see there, "Mid-Continent public library". Looks like you already have access to Gale via Mid-Continent library. Looks like a notable topic (article is in terrible state, indeed). It is statutory organization (since 2002) which organizes Islamic pilgrimages (haj) to Saudi Arabia, and according to some sources such committees has been in existence since 1927. @Rajasekharan Parameswaran: We usually do subsequent mentions of an individual by their last name. It is in accordance with our Manual of Style policy. "Parameswaran" as evidenced by reliable sources is your last name and in the article refers to you (not your father. I couldn't find any reference for your father, so there is not any details about him).

Official website, should be yours because the article is about you. Do you own "laksagiartgallery.com" website?

In career section, Gopalakrishnan is referred by his full-name in previous sentence. I think, readers would be able to understand who Gopalakrishnan is. Short-films - fixed.

In 2017 - 2018, the Wikimedia Foundation and Google working in close coordination with the Centre for Internet and Society (CIS), Wikimedia India chapter (WMIN) and user groups will pilot a program encouraging Wikipedia communities to create locally relevant and high-quality content in Indian languages. This program (Code name: Project Tiger) will:

(a) Support active and experienced Wikipedia editors through the donation of laptops and stipends for internet access and

(b) Sponsor a language-based contest that aims to address existing Wikipedia content gaps.

The objective of the program is to provide laptops and internet stipends for existing editors who need support to contribute more actively. 50 basic model Acer Chromebooks and Internet stipends for 100 contributors are available for distribution. Provided resources are the sole property of the beneficiaries and should be used for the betterment of the movement.

If you're an active Wikimedian, and interested to receive support from this project, please apply. It will take around 10 minutes of your time, and will ask descriptive questions about your contribution to Indic Wikimedia projects.

Project Tiger Writing Contest[edit]

I need help.I am newcomer with no intention to vandalise,cause problems or promote subject matters or living people.However I have been warned,blocked and accused of all sorts of this.Can someone out there with good experience help me clean up the following articles.I admit i do not understand the term neutrality from the wikipedia point of view when sources are cited and repetitive statements are removed-called a vandal and being blocked.
