Ontario Highway 71[edit]

Sioux Narrows Bridge under construction in the 1930s

  • ... that prior to its reconstruction, the Sioux Narrows Bridge (original pictured), located along Ontario Highway 71, featured the longest single span of any wooden bridge in North America, at 64 metres (210 ft)?
  • Comment: Unfortunately said bridge is now steel, as evidenced by the picture in the article.

  • Everything looks good. Offline citations taken AGF. Wouldn't mind seeing another citation for the longest wooden single-span, but good to go. --Kevmin § 04:06, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
  • I know this is archived, but I thought I'd add this for anyone unsure - The longest wooden bridge fact is in the web citation from the Sioux Narrows website. - ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢ 15:51, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
