Max And Ruby 0004[edit]

I like Creepypasta and all but what have I noticed on this page is that nobody put Max And Ruby 0004 on this page. C’mon guys! It’s one of the scariest lost episode creepypastas and it’s known for its spooky images and this Creepypasta could really fit in the lost episode category! FriendABoi (talk) 02:50, 19 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you have reliable, secondary sources, go on ahead and add the creepypasta. Spirit of Eagle (talk) 21:16, 23 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I had posted the Max and Ruby 0004, but it was removed due to unreliable sources. I'm sorry about that! Have a nice day! --WEEBATRON1000 (talk) 11:12, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Other Information regarding Dead Bart[edit]

The story actually got two sequels made by the same author, K.I. Simpson The First was a direct sequel to it, A Dead Bart Update: https://creepypasta.fandom.com/wiki/A_Dead_Bart_Update And the other being a spinoff of the story having to do with a lost episode of Futurama, called Not Long Enough: https://creepypasta.fandom.com/wiki/Not_Long_Enough If you guys could add that information into the Dead Bart section, I would be happy.

Move to "List of creepypastas"?[edit]

Grammatically, I know that the food is "some pasta", but these stories are "one creepypasta, two creepypastas". So move the page? 2A00:23C5:FE0C:2100:88BC:50F2:64FD:729F (talk) 00:13, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The Backrooms[edit]

In April 21st of 2018, an anonymous 4chan user posted an image in the site's /x/ forum in a thread about cursed images

1 year later, 12th of May, 2019. an anonymous 4chan user started a thread on the site's paranormal board inviting users to post images of "disquieting" images that just feel off the user posted a image of an yellowish room at an off-angle, the user posted the image replied with the narrative about the image, writing: "If you're not careful and you no-clip out of reality in the wrong areas, you'll end up in the Backrooms, where it's nothing but the stink of old-moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, the Endless Background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms,

God Save you If you hear something wandering around nearby,Because it sure as hell has heard you"

2 days later, in May 14th of the same year as 2019, another thread combining the image especially the comment appeared for the third time on /x/. another 2 days later, May 16th, the post appeared on the subreddit /r/greentext, with the caption it reads:"Worse than any creepypasta out there." gaining over 32,000 points.

On May 18th, Redditor yourdndguy posted a creepypasta inspired by the post on /r/creepypasta, gaining over 200 points. Another was posted to the creepypasta wiki. On May 19th, Twitter user @GearboxGunman posted a computer-animated video of walking through "infinite" backrooms, gaining over 950 retweets and 4,400 likes. Some others on Twitter began making jokes about the area. User @DST_000 posted about the positive qualities of The Backrooms. User @LucasLayton4 posted a What If We Kissed In joke about The Backrooms In March 2020, the images of The Backrooms were shared in conjunction with images that seem creepily familiar on TikTok[1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Minecraftgamer10 (talkcontribs) 01:19, 15 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Page protection[edit]

I've given this a page protection of a week, but enabled pending changes so that IPs and new editors can still suggest changes that confirmed/autoconfirmed editors can either accept or decline. There are a lot of edits to this page that have issues, so page protection is warranted to cut down on the amount of editor time needed to clean up the page. For anyone coming in, all edits must be written in a neutral, encyclopedic fashion and have coverage in independent, reliable sources to establish that the creepypasta exists and is notable enough for inclusion on the list. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 08:48, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am going to clean out all sections that don't have a main article or a citation (plus one I found that has a citation that doesn't support any of the content). Once cleaned up, we need to ensure all new sections include references. Schazjmd (talk) 16:30, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Some removed sections seemed to be editors exercising their creative writing skills.
There's probably room for more clean-up; I didn't check the sources for the remaining sections, and a quick glance indicates some are not reliable sources. However, I find this topic really unpleasant and don't care to do further research. But I'll put this on my watchlist and keep unsourced sections from being added. Schazjmd (talk) 16:38, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Add 'The Expressionless' Story?[edit]

I am quite shocked nobody has added this one yet, and I think it would make a fantastic addition to the list. I thought there would be more, and I'm kind of disappointed. I would add it, but I don't know of any reliable sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by WEEBATRON1000 (talkcontribs) 20:10, 9 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That would be why it's not in the list, WEEBATRON1000. We need independent reliable sources before adding anything to the article. Schazjmd (talk) 20:45, 9 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I found a reliable source, and wrote an article that has been edited numerous times and I'm very happy to finally do so.--WEEBATRON1000 (talk) 11:16, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have created a possible new section for this wiki page[edit]

I decided to write a bit using an article I found on a website, and I had wanted to do this addition since I read this wiki page! Tell me what you think!

The Expressionless[edit]

'The Expressionless' tells the story of an incident in the June of 1972, where a strange woman appeared in Cedar Senai hospital wearing only a gown covered in blood. Bloodied patients might not be uncommon in hospitals, but there are a few things that make her stand out from the rest.
One of these things is the fact her face resembled a mannequin face. The other thing is how she had a kitten clamped in her jaw, with blood trickling down the gown she was wearing. She later pulled the animal out, threw it aside, and collapsed. From the very moment she came to the hospital's doorstep, to the time she was taken into her room, she was motionless and expressionless.
Freaked out by her unresponsive state, the staff thought it was best to sedate her until authorities arrived. But when they tried to sedate her, she fought with extreme force. She rose from the bed with the same vacant expression. The staff attempted to restrain her, and she turned her gaze towards the male doctor. As she did this, she revealed a set of spiked, sharp, inhuman teeth. Her horrific appearance shocked the whole staff. Terrified, the doctor asked what she was.
She continued to smile and was observing the doctor until he got distracted by the hospital security's footsteps. She saw the opportunity, and pounced on him, sinking her teeth into his neck, ripping his throat out violently. The doctor collapsed, choking on his own blood. As he slowly gasped his last breath, the strange woman leaned dangerously close to him and whispered the last words he would hear; "I... am... God...". The last thing he saw was the woman devouring the security staff. Only one female doctor survived and nicknamed her 'The Expressionless'. This story has proven to be one of the more popular stories in the history of the internet. [1]WEEBATRON1000 (talk) 19:11, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
A better source is Snopes.[2] I'm not reading this, but make sure that it is all completely in your own words and not the same content as on Snopes or Wethepvblic with just a few words changed. Also, it should be worded to talk about its influence or how it spread on the internet, not just worded as a creepy story like you would tell around a campfire. Novisor[edit]

Is Novisor an actual Among Us creepypasta, or is it just part of the Among Us Logic series?--24.44.76.88 (talk) 14:24, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure if it's classified as a creepypasta, but I know that it's not part of the Among Us Logic series according to the attached site. [1] --WEEBATRON1000 (talk) 20:19, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Does Pale Luna really need 6 citations?[edit]

For the Pale Luna section it has 6 citations, half appearing to be Spanish or Portuguese. Isn’t that a little excessive? All the info in the section is right from the story too so I don’t know it’d need so many citations if they (presumably) all just say the same thing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:7080:A203:1F94:98CB:BDFB:7F9:6100 (talk) 10:34, 10 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I mean, a citation is needed if they found information on that specific cite.--WEEBATRON1000 (talk) 11:20, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Help with Citing[edit]

Hello, I need some help with citing! I need a way to tell if a site is reliable or not. Also, to be able to get the best information from it and compact it into something smaller. List criteria[edit]

What are the criteria for determining if any particular piece of internet lore qualifies as a creepypasta? By definition, the lore should be something that has been copied from one site to another and another (hence the derivation from "cut-and-paste"), but many of the entries on this list appear only to have ever been posted on Fandom's creepypasta wiki. It seems that the Fandom wiki should be a site that collects information about creepypastas posted elsewhere, not an original (and sole) publisher of stories or media that then claims to be creepypasta. The Alternates from Mandela Catalogue are most likely not extraterrestrials[edit]

The subsection on the Mandela County Youtube series mentions the Alternates as 'extraterrestrials'. This could be misleading as 'extraterrestrials' are associated with aliens, and the Alternates are almost definitely not aliens. In the episode "Overthrone", it is strongly hinted that these creatures are Biblical, possibly manifestations or minions of the Devil. I think this should be changed to simply creatures, or something along the lines.

Overthrone: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0EpOiu8YkI&t=1s&ab_channel=AlexKister — Preceding unsigned comment added by Spacemaster10 (talkcontribs) 23:27, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Spacemaster10: Fair point. Extraterrestrials does seem to be an inaccurate description, now that you come to mention it. Supernatural may be a more appropriate one as that describes phenomena beyond human understanding, which fits the alternates perfectly. I'm planning on rewriting the section, so I'll implement this suggestion. Earle Bartibus Huxley (talk) 22:01, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The Backrooms Expert and Surviver[edit]

If you don't know what the backrooms are, they are spaces that are different from each other with monsters. I escaped the backrooms at level 10 That Place where a lot of weed plants are. It's very scary I had a phone on me still after all the Running I recorded but when I went back to the frontroom aka Earth all my recordings and photos were gone. Where I went I was back on earth was Outside on the roof of my houses

Try to meet up with people as some levels are hard to beat alone level 0 u will be alone

This page is bloated and needs to be better defined[edit]

I've been noticing this a lot looking at this page. A lot of it is flooded with works that simply shouldn't be here and listed under it.

Some of it is more excusable than others; while in a technical sense works like BEN Drowned would not be considered a "creepypasta" under the traditional definition, it's essentially become regarded as such through the years since its creation. In other cases, however, I do not understand, and a lot of it comes down to using vague sources to justify them being here. Blank Room Soup, some creepy video from 2002, only really seems to be here because the Spanish-language source (the single source used on the section) describes it as such. Web series Local 58, Mandela Catalogue, Hi I'm Mary Mary, Petscop, or Catastrophe Crow aren't ever usually regarded as creepypastas rather than under the analog horror label, neither by most sources and communities, nor their creators.

In general, many of these have never been considered under that label, and many more are contested in a grey area in regards to whether they actually are. If we define "creepypasta" more liberally to define internet horror on a broad scale, something this article seems to be halfway doing, then it becomes so broad that it becomes bloated, works having entire descriptions. It's such a broad way to use the label that I feel like it's naturally become impossible to keep consistency on this page.

So how do we define "creepypasta"? I get that it's become a catch-all term, but so many works are outside of that realm unless we're seriously considering all creepy internet media to be creepypastas. Even then, I still feel like it's broad enough that we need to narrow it down, regardless of how we define it. NekomancerJaidyn (talk) [she/her] 04:47, 9 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I think the safest way to categorize creepypastas currently would be based on the community consensus of the respective media. For instance, Petscop fans will correct someone when they call it an alternate reality game or creepypasta to the more accurate term of "horror web series". I would write a thesis on the ontology of creepypasta but I think this is the easier method. Also, the ARGs you mentioned (as well as Gemini Home Entertainment) should probably be moved to this page instead of this article. DJ10wiki (talk) 21:17, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Bloodshot Travis[edit]

Bloodshot Travis is a Cannibalistic Serial Killer Creepypasta, he has extremely red soft textured skin with dark brown hair full of blood from his gunshot his parents causes him. and black eyeballs with red eyes. and blood pouring threw his eye sockets, and a bloodlust grin. he has a red and dark red striped shirt with jeans. He hides under your bed at midnight and then he comes out and eats your organs and leaves your skin on your bed. His story goes like this: An 8-year-old kid named Travis H. Jones / Travis K. Jones moved to a new town with his parents and older sister Becky, on the first day of school he came across two bullies, Kyleson Heathers and Robbie Smith. Travis was frequently bullied by them, and his parents never paid any attention to him. so then one day at the school his bullies go too far and shoot his eyes with a gun and his eyeballs become black.

and then he rages and accidently kills them, he wakes up in a hospital from his gun shot injury and stays there for some time, and then he finally comes home but. and his parents get very mad at him from his murder he committed. they decide to lock him in the basement to be safe and that only makes things worse. years later his parents try to kill him, so they can just forget all about him, but he comes back and eats the inside of them, as Becky watches Travis kills her too,

and he leaves to hide under people's beds and eat them alive to those who refuse to listen to their parents. he renamed himself "Bloodshot Travis"
