@Sujit0601: You didn't provide a link to the article draft you were talking about, but I assume from your edit history you are talking about Draft:Sujit Kumar Mishra. I'm not sure if you mean "Author Biography" or "auto-biography", since it appears to be written about yourself, but also, you claim to be an author, which is additionally confusing. If you are writing an article about yourself, you really should not, as Wikipedia is not a social media outlet, and people who write about themselves have clear Conflicts of Interest, which presents a significant ethical problem. I am kindly asking for assistance to rewrite this page as it was declined. I was told that instagram and youtube are not sufficient sources as references but i used many other references that were great sources found on google searches about this gentlemen who many have come to admire after a rough start to his life. I am hopeing someone will help me publish a page on him. Thank you so much! Jasonsmiley23 (talk) 04:57, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Jasonsmiley23 (talk) 04:57, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Jasonsmiley23: Pro-tip: please link to the draft in question the next time you post. The correct link is Draft:Mark Juncaj. Millions of people across the world, work. Millions of people throw a baseball. Millions of people drink the alcohols, and millions of people suffer personal setbacks as a result. It's unclear why this person in particular, who...I guess won a 3x3 basketball championship sometime...is notable enough to warrant a permanent encyclopedia article at Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a social media outlet. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:19, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The honorable,

I want why my page was just rejected, what is the problem, try to see all the draft articles, I saw everything was rejected, and only articles were accepted. I am not happy for your rejection comments. Maybe I am not happy because the page I created was simply rejected. Please give me some info and how I can solve the problem.

123569yuuift (talk) 05:28, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@123569yuuift: What page are you talking about? Draft:Odading Mang Oleh (video)? The reviewer left comments in the giant box at the top of the draft. Basically, in their eyes, you did not establish that the subject meets our General Notability Guideline. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:16, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

08:55:30, 17 November 2020 review of submission by Ervikasbhargava[edit]

Hello, I want to know what problem happened in this article due to which it is not a notable article. I didn't understand the reason behind the rejection. It would be beneficial for me if you specify the reason again to make changes in this article and hopefully submit it. Please suggest changes. Kind Regards,

Ervikasbhargava (talk) 08:55, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ervikasbhargava As noted by the reviewer, your draft was rejected(not just declined) because it seems that this person does not meet the special Wikipedia definition of a notable creative professional, as shown with significant coverage in independent reliable sources. Your draft just tells about this person and what they do; that is insufficient for a Wikipedia article. Since your draft was rejected, it will not be considered further. 331dot (talk) 10:12, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

We have made changes and there is no plagiarised content. Kindly check and review again. Anthony0309 (talk) 09:59, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Anthony0309 Who is "we"? Group accounts are not permitted; each account must be exclusively operated by a single individual who may grant no one else access. Your draft has been rejected, meaning that it will not be considered further. Plagiarism is not the issue. You have in essence posted a promotional resume that just tells about Mr. Thomas. Wikipedia articles must do more, they must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage(that goes beyond press releases, announcements of routine business transactions, brief mentions) say about Mr. Thomas, showing how he meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable person. The prospect of that occurring seems low, which is why the draft was rejected. It will only waste your time and that of others to pursue this further at this time. 331dot (talk) 10:08, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You claimed a COI; if you are employed by or otherwise represent Mr. Thomas, you will need to make the stricter paid editing declaration. 331dot (talk) 10:09, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Anthony0309: You're also going to have to add those references in-line, meaning directly after the content they support. Like:
First Last was born in 1989 in Sussex, England.<ref>reference goes here</ref>
Nobody's going to scour through a hundred random links at the bottom of the page to figure out when the subject worked at Nissan. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:14, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

10:01:54, 17 November 2020 review of submission by Music biograpiez[edit]

The sources mention all the things said in the description of the entity and the Spotify profile is Verified with a blue tick so it is notable, authentic and the bio of that page is what I've written on this Wikipedia page Music biograpiez (talk) 10:01, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The draft has been rejected, meaning it will not be considered further. A Spotify profile is not relevant. A Wikipedia article about a musician must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the person, showing how they meet the special Wikipedia definition of a notable musician. You offered no such sources, and the prospect of finding them seems low, which is why the draft was rejected. 331dot (talk) 10:04, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Music biograpiez: courtesy ping. Why do I get a feeling that I have seen the argument "The subject's xxx account has a blue link/verify checkmark/verfication" not too long ago? Victor Schmidt mobil (talk) 11:34, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

10:11:43, 17 November 2020 review of draft by Jademaisey[edit]

I am asking for help as I am adding an English version of a page that already exists in German. I would like to upload six different language versions in total, including the English version I have already tried to upload. Is submitting a new article the best way to do this? Jademaisey (talk) 10:11, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Jademaisey: creating and submitting a draft is certainly a slwo process, but I feel you don't realy have a different choise. Please be advised that different languages are seperate projects with seperate rules, therefore "but it exists in german/italian/chinese/..." is not regarded as an argument. I will go over it and clean up some of the refs later when I'm at home. Victor Schmidt mobil (talk) 11:31, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

10:59:53, 17 November 2020 review of draft by Paullauria[edit]

Hi,

I am asking for help to verify if the additional detail regarding references is sufficient.

Many thanks,

Paul

Paullauria (talk) 10:59, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Paullauria: The answer is a clear no. For example, The complete "Early years" section does not have any references. Wikipedia is not interested in a rerun of the Seigenthaler incident. Victor Schmidt (talk) 14:27, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

11:12:40, 17 November 2020 review of submission by Thestripey[edit]

Thestripey (talk) 11:12, 17 November 2020 (UTC) Hi Nathan, I've tried my best to edit the references but find it too hard . If there is any advice or a professional person or company that is reliable and can help for a small fee I'll appreciate it. I hope you'll choose to help as although Tally is not yet in charts and selling gold albums, her work brings joy to so many people and she deserves to be here from all the links that I've provided . Thank you[reply]

Thestripey I assume this is about Draft:Tally Koren. If you want to pay someone to create an article about this person, you will have to find them on your own. Anyone you pay must comply with the paid editing policy and declare that you are paying them. I'd also suggest that you not hand over any money until you see the result; and anyone you pay can make no guarantees. For that matter, if you are a representative of this person, you must comply with that policy as well, and perhaps conflict of interest. Wikipedia does not offer or endorse paid editing services itself. It's good that she brings joy to people, but Wikipedia is only interested in whether or not she meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable musician, as shown with significant coverage in independent reliable sources. Please see Your First Article for more information. 331dot (talk) 11:23, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

12:04:14, 17 November 2020 review of submission by Cristiandorobantu[edit]

Hello, I have used the citation bot yesterday, and i thought all was fine after that, since i don't really get why you flagged the article in the first place considering there are enough sources placed. So, as I said, i used the bot then resubmitted, so it came as a shock to see the whole work deleted just like that. I do understand that i do not know everything there is and i hope to get your understanding in this matter. All I want is to undo the mistakes, to give enough sources and create a good, clean and correct wiki article about this person. So please, can I have your help? Cristiandorobantu (talk) 12:05, 17 November 2020 (UTC) Cristiandorobantu (talk) 12:04, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Cristiandorobantu: we dont use plain external links in the article body. Either convert them to references, or delete them. Victor Schmidt mobil (talk) 12:11, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I reworked the links. Please assist me with the next steps I need to take! I appreciate your response!Cristiandorobantu (talk) 13:06, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Cristiandorobantu: The two first paragraphs of "Career" still need a source. @I dream of horses: for your information. Victor Schmidt (talk) 14:31, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I added some more sources for those paragraphs as well. Since i can no longer submit it for review, what should I do now? Cristiandorobantu (talk) 10:07, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 12:56:12, 17 November 2020 for assistance on AfC submission by MaxPower2017[edit]

I have tried in vain to create a page for a local (amateur) rugby club citing as many independent third party sources as I was able to locate online. The page has been rejected on the basis there are insufficient sources and too many references to Twitter. I am confused as I have included significantly more references than I see on pages for many other similar rugby club pages; and there is only one reference to Twitter. Being a small community club it does not receive coverage in large national or even regional mainstream media - online or print media. In fact there is very little coverage of grassroots rugby except on clubs own websites - but of course these are not 'independent'. It is also very hard to reference the history of the club since it was founded in 1907 so there is almost no digital footprint of the first hundred years! I am at a loss as to how advance the article since if I remove references it will make the content less credible, but there are no more to add. As I say, there seem to be many other clubs of similar standing who have managed to get a page published so I am wondering what I am doing wrong? I would really appreciate the insight of an experienced editor who can provide some feedback specific to this page and concerns raised. I have tried reading round the issue on help pages but all provide generic advice which as far as I can tell I have followed diligently to this point. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

MaxPower2017 (talk) 12:56, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

MaxPower2017 That other articles might have fewer and/or inappropriate references does not automatically mean that you can do the same; please see Other Stuff Exists. As this is a volunteer project where people do what they can when they can, it is possible for inappropriate content to go undetected, even for years. We can only address what we know about. If you are interested in pointing out this other inappropriate content, it can be addressed, we could use the help.
Sources for an article do not need to be online, they only need to be publicly accessible(such as books or newspapers in a library). If there are not enough independent reliable sources with significant coverage about this club, it would not merit an article at this time. The text you have written so far just documents what the club has done- Wikipedia articles must do more, they must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the club in depth. For example, the New York Yankees merit an article because many independent sources have chosen to extensively write about the history of the Yankees and its effects on baseball and society. Their article does not just describe how many times they won the World Series.
If you just want to tell the world about this club, there may be alternative forums with less stringent requirements where you can do that. 331dot (talk) 13:11, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

13:16:42, 17 November 2020 review of submission by GrowingObsession[edit]

Was the question of notability about the artist Woody Herman or about the album "Jazz Hoot"? I assumed the AllMusic biography would be sufficient for Woody Herman notability. For the album how many sources would be sufficient for notability? GrowingObsession (talk) 13:16, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi GrowingObsession. The question of notability is about the ablum, hence the reviewer's link to Wikipedia:Notability (music)#Recordings in their comment. If you're planning to meet its first criterion, "multiple, non-trivial" sources are expected. Perhaps others would disagree, but at 69 words, many of which simply list tracks and performers, I would class AllMusic as trivial, a capsule review. The draft would stand a better chance with at least two meatier reviews. If you want examples of high quality references, study Agharta, Misterioso, and Of Human Feelings. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:51, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

14:20:29, 17 November 2020 review of submission by Pupuce2020[edit]

Band has been mentioned in notable/reputable and well known publications, as per rules, is notable enough for Wikipedia Pupuce2020 (talk) 14:20, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Pupuce2020 Your draft has been rejected, meaning it will not be considered further. You have not offered any independent reliable sources with significant coverage to show how this band meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable band. 331dot (talk) 14:25, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I have, No Clean Singing is reliable and notable — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pupuce2020 (talkcontribs) 15:49, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Pupuce2020 Blogs are not generally considered reliable sources, as they usually lack editorial control and fact checking. Even if so, that's just one source, you need multiple sources(most reviewers look for three or more). I'm not sure which of the notability criteria listed at WP:BAND you assert this group meets, but you haven't shown that yet. As this draft was rejected, not just declined, you will only be wasting your time and that of others by pursuing this further, unfortunately. 331dot (talk) 15:55, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

17:31:13, 17 November 2020 review of submission by LucyArn[edit]

Hi Editors - I noticed after I cleaned up the citations on my draft page as instructed in the first review that now our draft page has been marked for speedy deletion. Is it possible to get some more information about why this page does not qualify? It seems to me everything included is factual and cited by outside sources but would welcome any advice on how to improve the submission. Thank you!

LucyArn (talk) 17:31, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

LucyArn, It's definitely not worthy of speedy deletion and the article is not in such bad a shape it should be thrown out. (FWIW I had an off-wiki meeting with Shameran81 a few days ago where there was a strong consensus among those present that actions like this, and comments such as "Improperly cited. See WP:RS" as seen on your talk page are completely unhelpful to newcomers). A quick search on Google News shows quite a number of reputable Italian news sources talking about Dan Friedkin's investment and control in A.S. Roma, such as this. So, it might be easier to improve the existing article about Dan Friedkin rather than the investment company. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:42, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ritchie333, appreciate the feedback! I sort of taught myself how to update the citations, so I'm learning which is good :) Then I had a bit of editor help cleaning them up for re-review. In any case, I am also working on suggesting edits to Dan Friedkin's page - they are in the Talk page but I also need to clean up those citations now that I know how. I think it's valid feedback that Dan's page has a lot of the same info as the TFG company page and I can relay that. Thanks again. LucyArn (talk) 18:03, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ritchie333 thanks for the ping. Yes, it's interesting to follow this conversation and see this kind of feedback on sources in action. Thx for the helpful suggestions to LucyArn. Shameran81 (talk) 15:36, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

17:49:35, 17 November 2020 review of draft by Pilar Botana[edit]

Hi wiki team, I am adding content to a wiki page named "Bluespaces", that informs about blue spaces and its health benefits. Ideally I would have liked the page to be titled "Blue Space", which is the more correct term, but , but that name is taken by a wiki draft about the same topic -titled "Blue Space"- that has been been flagged by wikipedia. I would like to take the opportunity to move the content I added in "Bluespace" and migrate it into the "Blue Space" draft, where I also plan to add references and workout flagged issues with the aim to allow this draft to be published. If I succeed, there would be 2 wiki pages very similar in content that would need consolidation. Please let me know if you recommend any other course of action. 18:18:08, 17 November 2020 review of submission by Ellegriffin[edit]

Brandon Fugal is a person of note and is mentioned elsewhere on Wikipedia (see the article about Skinwalker Ranch). What do we need to do to get his page published? There continues to be more and more content available about Fugal as his series on the History Channel has gained traction, and I would love to have a place to put more details about him as they emerge. Thank you!

Ellegriffin (talk) 18:18, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ellegriffin, please see WP:BLP1E, they are notable only for one event. Dylsss(talk contribs) 19:58, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And this already exists at Skinwalker Ranch, unless they are notable for something else, this draft would not be accepted. Dylsss(talk contribs) 20:02, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Ellegriffin: Who is "we"? Do you work for/with Fugal? If so, are you aware of what a Conflict of Interest is? Or our policy on paid editors? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:13, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm struggling to figure out how to use this box of code, so hopefully this works. "We" is you and me. And of course, I am aware of what a conflict of interest is, and I am not a paid editor. I am simply an investigative journalist who adds the findings of my investigations to Wikipedia when I uncover them. As I have been investigating Brandon's role in a variety of paranormal enterprises, I wanted to add my findings to the page once he had one. But if he is notable for only the one thing and that isn't enough for Wikipedia then I cede my case. Ellegriffin (talk) 23:58, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@The.edit124: You didn't ask a question, so it's difficult to help you. With regard to Draft:Dukurire Muri Yesu Choir, the existence of something, like a person, a building or a choir, doesn't mean that it automatically deserves an encyclopedia article. You must demonstrate that the subject is notable, and notability is established by showing that the subject, the choir, has received significant coverage (in detail coverage, no passing mentions) in reliable sources (mainstream sources, like news sites, major magazines, not blogs or YouTube or iTunes) that are independent of the subject (no interviews, not from the choir's website, etc.) Cyphoidbomb (talk) 21:51, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
