Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

All accounts focusing on BLPs that WWB Too has been paid to edit, and with the possibility of hounding him.

The IP and Israelpetersen both cite PAIDATTRIBUTE:[1], [2]

The IP also uses the same stylization of WWB Too as Israelpetersen in both of the above diffs.

JDLaw intersects on the Robert A. Mandell article with the IP, and has a smiliar MO to Israelpeterson on another article edited by WWB too: [3], [4].

Requesting CU to see if the accounts are related. I know there will be no comment on the IP, but I've listed it to help show the intersect. TonyBallioni (talk) 05:27, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Confirmed plus:
  • With the addition of the two accounts, I'm not as sure that the scope of this case is limited to anti-WWB Too sentiment. Other than aggressive, disruptive editing it's tough to find behavioral connections between all four accounts. However, the technical evidence is strong, the methods being used to edit are unusually suspicious, and whatever qualms I have about blocking in these circumstances are outweighed by all of these accounts being a net detriment to the project. Blocked and tagged. This case should be moved to ModiBhakt786, the oldest account.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:23, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Done, closing. GABgab 17:09, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • TonyBallioni, Bbb23, this guy, with his verbosity and his easy linking to reddit (where I am sure we find crazy conspiracy theories, harassment, outing, and general assholishness), sounds a lot like InlineText. There may be something connected to the IP harassers on Brian Krzanich and the talk page, and of course there's the User:Nof9 account--I can't remember if anyone established that Nof was actually Singora or not. Singora is a jerk, but their agenda is just to tirritate other human beings. This Inlinetext has an agenda of the kind that comes with a tinfoil hat, and they have a couple of split personalities running and emailing around. And I'm not just saying this BECAUSE MY CHECKS FROM GEORGE SOROS AND MICROSOFT/BEUTLER JUST CAME IN THE MAIL. Drmies (talk) 15:57, 17 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

Obvious troll and sock of the previous socks in harassing WWB and claiming that Cullen and I are on his payroll because we got involved in the previous dispute: [5].

Its either the same editor or PROXYING, so eligible for a block regardless of technical evidence. I'm not doing it because I'm INVOLVED. Asking for a CU for a sleeper check given that there were other ones last time, and also to see if there's a way to do a range block. TonyBallioni (talk) 05:13, 17 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Listing the IP for a DUCK block as their only edit summary mentions the reddit nonsense and WWB. TonyBallioni (talk) 11:45, 17 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks to TNT for the check. Given the exact same edits [6] by the IP and a blocked sock [7], I think we're in safe DUCK territory on it. I won't block since I'm a target of the Reddit story, but noting it for the reviewing clerk. TonyBallioni (talk) 13:45, 17 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

@TonyBallioni: said that this sockmaster's "All accounts focusing on BLPs that WWB Too has been paid to edit, and with the possibility of hounding him",[8] that should remind you of Inlinetext. Inlinetext alleged WWB Too of paid editing.[9] These socks have done that as well.[10][11]

Disrupting Robert A. Mandell,[12] Inlinetext also did.[13]

Falsely alleging people of socking[14], favorite sport of Inlinetext.[15]

Inlinetext is the real sockmaster and this SPI needs to be renamed, because Inlintext was a prolific disruptive editor, it took an ANI followed by the blocks from arbitrators to deal with him.

Added "Elektricity", because of Oswah's message on Bbb23's talk page. The account was registered hardly 49 days ago and is already engaged in much disruption. D4iNa4 (talk) 16:30, 19 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Bbb23: SPI should be moved to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Inlinetext though. D4iNa4 (talk) 19:15, 19 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Comment from WWB Too[edit]

Hello, here are some other accounts and IPs that I believe have been used by the individual who has been harassing me; note, some are currently blocked:

There are a few common threads: deleting content and adding warning templates to past or current client pages, including but perhaps not limited to: Hilary Rosen, Michael J. Saylor, Robert A. Mandell, Brian Krzanich. They have made various claims against each individual, often highly conspiratorial, and often claiming my paid engagement of these articles violates EU law or FTC guidelines (here, as always, I'll add that my work is properly disclosed and I never edit mainspace for client articles). This person is also active under a few different handles at WikiInAction, accusing myself and several volunteer editors of corruption without any evidence; if you search my name within that subreddit, you'll find it all. I don't know if an SPI is going to tie all of these together, or whether I should consider starting a thread at AN/I, but it's been incredibly disruptive of my participation here going on a week now. Account registered[16] just after the last sock had been blocked.[17] Like other socks, does nothing but remove content by misrepresenting policies.

False allegations of socking.[22][23]

And has again edited Robert A. Mandell.[24] like other socks.[25]

Also claims of "COI".[26][27] D4iNa4 (talk) 03:14, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
