I feel a bit odd nominating this as this redirect was the result of this AfD, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Triton (programming language); however, I find that this redirect is not particularly helpful. While Triton is a programming language developed by OpenAI, it's not mentioned in the article, or anywhere on enwiki from what I could find. It seems like it might best serve the reader to not have this redirect exist if there is no information about it at the target. TartarTorte 23:29, 12 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. This is a redirect from a requested page move. I agree with the sentiment of the consensus from the request, which said that the title defies common sense and that there is no such "Northern Ireland language". The redirect has no pageviews in the last ninety days and no main-namespace internal backlinks, and since the move was made while the article was very small – only about three months after its creation, I doubt it has any external backlinks either.   • Delete. A highly questionable, obscure and "novel" term that is not mentioned in the target (for good reason*). Per WP:RFD#DELETE. If was a newly created redirect would likely meet speedy WP:R3 - as an implausible typo/misnomer. (I say "good reason" as "Northern Ireland language in Northern Ireland" isn't a thing.   • Weak retarget to Death march: I'm not entirely sure if this is a perfect target for it, but it seems to cover the far more common use of this term, even if it is a subset of forced marches. Weak retarget because it does not fully encompass the meaning of the term, but seems to be the article on wikipedia for now that has the most information on it. This should also probably be tagged with {{R with possibilities}}, as there likely is an article to be written about forced marches as a more general concept.   • Retarget to death march with a hatnote to loaded march. "Forced" and "death" marches are basically synonymous, the only real difference being in how successful they are (and who is defining "success"). The army drill seems to only be called a "forced" march in the US Army exclusively (and not even in other divisions of the US armed forces), and this is not Americapedia. @Edward-Woodrow what prevents you from interpreting that disambiguation is the consensus here? Four people said so, and the other proposals were a retarget explicitly marked as weak because of ambiguity, and a retarget with the use of a hatnote (which is also a method of disambiguation). Putting in a simple disambiguation page in place would hardly seem to be a controversial end to this discussion :) --Joy (talk) 10:13, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Joy: I was mostly going on Tartartorte's weak retarget and Ivanvector's lengthly argument, based on WP:NOTVOTE.   • Delete: He's hit 60+ thus far in his ODI career, so it would be pretty indiscriminate to list them all on his page. It seems like the page, before being WP:BLARred in 2016 listed two of his half centuries, but as we already have List of international cricket centuries by Virat Kohli, it seems that unless that article is expanded to also include half centuries, which I oppose, this redirect should be deleted as WP:SURPRISE as the target has no information contained in the redirect title. Too general a term to be a redirect. Just from this search, I can see multiple other awards with this name. It's entirely possible that none of those awards are themselves notable, but there's enough to make this seem inappropriate to me. Either delete this or convert it to a dab page.     Now that I'm aware that set indexes are a thing that exist and are distinguishable from dab pages (Thank you WP:SETNOTDAB), I should say that that appears to be more in line with what I was thinking, and I would support that solution.
