November 11[edit]

This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on November 11, 2023.

Hallstat[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to Hallstatt. (non-admin closure) TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 00:11, 19 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I assume Hallstatt would be a more appropriate target. 1234qwer1234qwer4 21:31, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Agree Maybe a hatnote on both articles could be added to clear up any confusion. A09 (talk) 21:17, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget but I disagree with A09's suggestion. It's just a bit pointless when the article is a) already linking to a disambiguation page and b) not very likely to be confusing. --(Roundish t) 01:05, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The above is preserved as an archive of the discussion. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review).

Draft:The J Man[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. plicit 23:47, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Likely joke redirect formed in March 2023 by an IP user with no other significant edits. The term itself does not exclusively refer to Jesus (cursory Google searches result in insignificant music references and a minor DC gang member). Delete. TNstingray (talk) 21:11, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete like TNstingray said, it is not a notable term and since it is drafted by an IP with no edits on wikipedia in March 2023, it is definitely WP:OR. Pretty much an invention of a random IP. Ramos1990 (talk) 22:27, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Xeroctic (talk) 13:29, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The Internets[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to Internets. (non-admin closure) TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 00:08, 19 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

These should point at the same target. 1234qwer1234qwer4 15:43, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

(Just to be clear, "internets" can be a technical term as elaborated in the last section of the "Internets" article, but I don't think anybody looking for that would add a definite article to it.) 1234qwer1234qwer4 12:41, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Internets which is the clear primary topic regardless of capitalisation. Thryduulf (talk) 10:59, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The above is preserved as an archive of the discussion. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review).

2022 Football Victoria season[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. plicit 08:35, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The article in question does not mention the year of "2022" at all. Utopes (talk / cont) 08:28, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete for lack of a good target. Football Victoria is a governing body that overseas multiple leagues that had one or more seasons in 2022, there is no article, template or category that I've found which provides an index or overview of them. 2022 in Queensland soccer exists and starts "The 2022 Football Queensland season..." suggesting that this is a plausible search term, but without any relevant content it isn't a useful redirect. Thryduulf (talk) 11:09, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The above is preserved as an archive of the discussion. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review).

Goggle.com[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to Typosquatting. plicit 08:36, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

While it could be argued that one page mentions the url and the other page discusses the overarching scheme at play, it does not seem to me that separate targets would be at all beneficial to readers, and I feel both should target the page discussing the phenomena as a whole, in this case being Typosquatting. Utopes (talk / cont) 08:20, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect both to Typosquatting: SpySherrif is only a component of the original Goggle website, and the website is mostly known as a major typosquatting website, so I think both redirects would be more suitable at that target. Xeroctic (talk) 17:01, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Terminology which is not used anywhere at the target page, and no indication that it is only ever associated with "Latino punk", i.e. this being the only type of "Latincore" that exists. Utopes (talk / cont) 08:13, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. Searches indicate that there is no single meaning for this term with none being more or less prominent than others, with not all uses even restricted to music. Thryduulf (talk) 11:15, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Swinton Avenue Trading is a subject not discussed at the target page. This entity appears as if it is associated with Office Depot, but further context is missing, possibly due to page restructuring and movement from 2022 and 2023. Utopes (talk / cont) 08:03, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Negative views about blacks[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. Jay 💬 08:36, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It does not appear to be helpful to redirect the phrase "blacks" to a page specific to stereotypes about African Americans. A previous RfD closed as delete for WP:Redirects for discussion/Log/2016 September 14#African stereotypes, which met this same conclusion with a similar set of redirects. However, this title is even further off compared to those, due to the use of "negative views" in the title as opposed to "stereotypes" per the target page.

Additionally this page falsely claims to be an R from history, despite being created all in one edit. Utopes (talk / cont) 07:40, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Delete The term Black people commony refers to African Americans, the local African diaspora, or to African people. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 10:49, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Fan-designated name (not mentioned at the target article) for a group of Spiderman movies. I couldn't even find it online at first, and only picked up on some mentions from the depths of reddit posts made in 2021. This does not appear to be an official name for anything, nor does it seem to need a mention at the target article in the first place. Utopes (talk / cont) 07:30, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. As many have said before me, redirects are cheap. --(Roundish t) 01:16, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete in no way any "official" or even close to official term for these films, and not something someone would reasonable search for to expect to get to this section covering the MCU Spider-Man films. These were only created in August 2023 so it's not like they've been around awhile to add weight to being reasonable search terms. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 02:26, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Whether they are official or "close to official" is completely irrelevant. What is relevant is that the term is not mentioned on the target page and Google results seem to equally refer to works by Peter Watts (author) (where the term is not mentioned either). Someone coming across this term and wanting to find out what it means will not be helped regardless of what context they see it in. Thryduulf (talk) 10:16, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

AI generated articles which were later WP:BLAR'd into the blanket article. However, the resulting title names do not appear to be likely search terms for the targets via their wonky descriptions. Utopes (talk / cont) 07:00, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This topic is allegedly a football practice which occurs on the banks of the Amazon River, with a Portuguese page at: [1]. However, it is currently undiscussed at the target page (or anywhere on the English Wikipedia), and would better serve as a red link to encourage article creation. This is allegedly a cultural manifestation associated with the state of Amapá. This topic has an associated page on the Portuguese wiki, at: [2]. However, it is currently undiscussed at the target page, and would not provide searchers with the information they are looking for.
