Disambiguate this since Boron is also called "Pentium" because its element number is 5. Also, the redirect page does not redirect to the disambiguation page. 176.88.83.247 (talk) 19:24, 30 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Either this should be deleted or reverted to this dab page (seemingly consisting of stuff related the now-target almost solely). The dab page had consensus to be merged (?) into the primary topic article in this discussion. I can't find anything calling boron pentium, by the way. J947edits 20:00, 30 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Is this correct? The Systematic element name article says a name such as this is a "temporary name assigned to an unknown or recently synthesized chemical element" and is used for transuranic elements. The recommendations (https://www.degruyter.com/document/doi/10.1351/pac197951020381/html) apply to "atomic numbers greater than 100" and say these names are for 101 and above. If boron is also called pentium is there a reliable source for this name, or an extension of systematic names to cover elements 1-100? Peter James (talk) 16:31, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    • This was a joke on xkcd #2723. It's not used in reality. HotdogPi 19:31, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete: the target is not a disambiguation page (WP:G14). Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 11:29, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per above as the target is not a dab. CycloneYoris talk! 20:54, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Andretti family[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to Andretti#Surname for now. No objection to turning Andretti curse into a broader article about the family. (non-admin closure) Clyde!Franklin! 20:34, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There is much more to the Andretti family than the "Andretti curse". While this does to some extent cover the family, it's not a great target in my view, but I am not sure what a better target would be. It also might be WP:REDYESsable. TartarTorte 18:05, 30 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak retarget to just Andretti, which has links to the curse and the different family members of the Andretti family in question. I'm not sure if what is happening with the racing Andretti family will merit a standalone article in the near/medium future but I'm open to other ideas. Skynxnex (talk) 19:06, 30 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment What about repurposing the Andretti curse article into a broader article on the family in general? - Presidentman talk · contribs (Talkback) 20:59, 30 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think that makes a lot of sense. Doing that then moving from Andretti curse to Andretti family upon completion. TartarTorte 15:40, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I'd also support that I believe but I think it'd be a fair amount of effort to convert the article, perhaps so I'll pause on changing my vote. Skynxnex (talk) 19:22, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak retarget to Andretti per Skynxnex unless it can be converted to a full article. InterstellarGamer12321 (talk) 19:43, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • retarget to Andretti since apparently a crossspace redirect to Category:Andretti family would give metaphysicists the vapours. It would also take less total effort to whip up a stub than to complete this discussion but maybe some other sect has nixed that solution? jnestorius(talk) 20:50, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned in the target, which is a disambiguation page, or any article. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 20:03, 15 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment this redirect was created to point to an entry at the target added by the redirect's created in 2017 which remained until it was removed by the nominator a few minutes before this nomination. Thryduulf (talk) 17:17, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete The "Furniture fitting" did not have a wikilink in the entry before it was removed. No longer mentioned. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Carpimaps (talkcontribs) 01:37, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • There is some overlap with door furniture and architectural ironmongery, but they are not synonyms. Something could probably be added to the furniture article, where fittings are only mentioned in image captions. Ready-to-assemble furniture doesn't say anything about this; if the suggestion to redirect there is for the other meaning of "fitting", assembly would be the usual term there (fitted furniture is different). Peter James (talk) 17:02, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I went with this meaning of fitting: 4. anything provided as equipment, parts, supply, etc. (see dictionary.com). Jay 💬 05:59, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
