Nominating for the same reason as Salsa taquera; target not mentioned in article Colgatepony234 (talk) 22:12, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nominator. In English this usually refers to a variety of tomato-based sauce which we don't discuss anywhere in English Wikipedia. In some varieties of Spanish this seems to be a name for ranch dressing (e.g. es:Salsa ranchera redirects to Spanish Wikipedia's ranch dressing article), but per WP:FORRED that wouldn't be an appropriate target here. 61.239.39.90 (talk) 03:30, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Since Salsa taquera got closed, and I nominated this for the same reason as that page, I think Salsa ranchera can now be speedy deleted, under criterion G6. Colgatepony234 (talk) 02:25, 6 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Errant[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was no consensus. -- Tavix (talk) 14:57, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I tend to think "errant" by itself is more commonly used to mean "in error". I am leaning towards either a redirect to Error, or disambiguation. BD2412 T 19:48, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep as the etymological use of the word is explained there in the lead. Otherwise, I think a soft redirect to wikitionary would be a better solution than trying to identify the best target that captures its use as an adjective, in the spirit of WP:NOTDIC, and I am not sure Error would be it. Mdewman6 (talk) 02:39, 19 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • "errant" is "wandering", as in "an errant missile" is a missile that wandered (off-target). An errant knight participating in errantry is a wandering knight. An errant word is a word that wandered onto the text out of the mind of the writer (in error). As for where this points, we don't seem to have an article on wandering... -- 64.229.88.43 (talk) 05:21, 23 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep per Mdewman, and add a hatnote at the current target to Error. No need to disambiguate, as readers can be easily guided with the help of a hatnote. CycloneYoris talk! 07:10, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Suicide Six[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep. The film has been deleted and the TV show is being handled with hatnotes. -- Tavix (talk) 14:54, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The ski resort Suicide Six was recently renamed from Suicide Six to Saskadena Six and a redirect was created as such. Given that the primary article no longer named as such. I think the Suicide Six should redirect somewhere else i.e. the Suicide Six film/TV and have a dab link from there SYSS Mouse (talk) 20:08, 16 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Disambiguate turn it into a disambiguation page with the ski resort, the film and the TV show -- 64.229.88.43 (talk) 20:27, 16 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.

  • Disambiguate with links to all three. It seems there's also a novel with that name that may be borderline notable and neither the TV show nor movie seem clear primary topic. Skynxnex (talk) 15:34, 24 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate per above - no clear primary topic. -Elmer Clark (talk) 06:19, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment I'm prodding the film article. Unsourced since 2009, cannot find enough sources to either satisfy GNG or verify any of the claims in the article. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 15:04, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep: The film article looks non-notable, and it's the common historical name of the US place, which is what most people will be looking for. Joseph2302 (talk) 14:50, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep Due to the deletion of the film article, there is no other plausible target. - Presidentman talk · contribs (Talkback) 19:52, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. There's already a hatnote at the current target that links to the TV show, and since the film article was deleted, there's no reason to disambiguate nor to retarget anywhere else. CycloneYoris talk! 07:02, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Very similar duplicate of Wobble-plate engine redirect. MrsSnoozyTurtle 04:39, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep as valid spelling variant unless the other redirect is also brought to RfD. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 03:07, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Five pillars of Wikipedia[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to Wikipedia#Policies and laws. (non-admin closure) CycloneYoris talk! 04:32, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Was previously nominated for RfD at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2010 June 16#Five pillars of Wikipedia and retargeted to Wikipedia#Rules and laws governing content. FAdesdae378 03:39, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep link to WP:Five pillars, the redirect you prefer seems to be very incomplete regarding the pillars - no summary, and has very little if any actual information. In contrast, even though the Wikipedia page is an in-house page, it is presented in such a way that it fully defines the searched for topic. It has been stable at this redirect for the last three years. Randy Kryn (talk) 03:52, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Wikipedia#Policies and laws, which mentions the pillars. Cross-namespace redirects like this are reasonable cases for deletion, per WP:R#DELETE #6, but there's a reasonable target available. The target really shouldn't have been changed without discussion since the last RfD. The persistence of the change on such a sparsely watched and rarely edited redirect page is not a reason to continue the situation. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 04:00, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Wikipedia#Policies and laws; we generally prefer mainspace targets over non-mainspace targets, and the mainspace page already includes a link to Wikipedia:Five pillars. * Pppery * it has begun... 14:06, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Wikipedia#Policies and laws, a mainspace article that describes the subject (if somewhat briefly) with an independent source. Glades12 (talk) 08:01, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Wikipedia#Policies and laws Cross-namespace redirects should be avoided where possible, and it's definitely possible here. In effect, redirecting to the policies page directly is giving people a primary source rather than an article about the topic; that would be a valid result for a general-purpose search engine, but not for a search that's meant to search an encyclopedia. --ais523 15:10, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Wikipedia#Policies and laws per above --Lenticel (talk) 02:07, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. plicit 05:23, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned in target. Seaching indicates WarTok is using TicTok to spread information about a war (currently the Russian invasion of Ukraine). But it's not mentioned in the article, would probably apply to other conflicts in the future, and there is no other suitable target article - so delete. MB 01:22, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
