Obvious keep. catalan.wikipedia.com was actually the original domain name of the Catalan Wikipedia, the second foreign-language WP entity created in March 2001 only minutes after the German Wikipedia, originally at deutsche.wikipedia.com. [1]
While it was soon moved to a different domain name, redirects from these original domain names need to be preserved for historical reasons. Perfectly valid search term for curious people running into historical references to these domains. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 21:20, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Keep, per the article's statement and a few minutes later, the Catalan Wikipedia was created in the catalan.wikipedia.com domain. Hog Farm Talk 21:34, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete also mentioned at Show Hayami, which illustrates the problem: retargeting video game characters to their voice actors' articles won't work, given that they have different voice actors in different language editions. 61.239.39.90 (talk) 16:07, 18 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The page which was once under this title has moved around a lot and is currently under Rock en Español (Rock in Spanish). However, it's unlikely that someone would look for "Rock en Español (Rock in Spanish)" by searching for this title. Stefan2 (talk) 12:02, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Speedy delete per WP:CSD#R2: redirects (apart from shortcuts) from the main namespace to any other namespace except the Category:, Template:, Wikipedia:, Help: and Portal: namespaces. The user accidentally created their sandbox in mainspace, but moved it to userspace later on, so no need to keep this around to help them find their sandbox anymore either. 61.239.39.90 (talk) 13:57, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • It's a double (triple) redirect which hasn't been updated based on the latest page moves yet. Once updated, it would point at a page in the article namespace, so I'm not sure if it qualifies for R2. According to WP:CSD, Before nominating a page for speedy deletion, consider whether it could be improved, reduced to a stub, merged or redirected elsewhere, reverted to a better previous revision, or handled in some other way (see Wikipedia:Deletion policy § Alternatives to deletion). In this case, the redirect can be "improved" by resolving the double redirects which would move it outside of WP:R2. --Stefan2 (talk) 18:47, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
      • @Stefan2: I'd tagged it for R2 before reading this, and Hut 8.5 has now deleted it. Normally I'd speedy-close after that, but if you're saying this should still exist, I guess I can leave this open... But if this weren't an R2, it would still be a G6: pages unambiguously created in error or in the incorrect namespace. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 18:52, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
        • I confess I didn't investigate the target before deleting this, but nevertheless I can't think why we could possibly want a redirect at this title to anywhere, much less an article about Spanish rock music. Hut 8.5 19:01, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
          • As I see it, the redirect didn't meet R2 because it could be "improved" but it would still be an implausible redirect which we don't wish to keep and that's why I listed the redirect here. --Stefan2 (talk) 19:02, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
            • Well no, it can't be improved. Changing it from a cross-namespace redirect to a wildly implausible redirect isn't an improvement. Hut 8.5 19:12, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
            • In general, I would say, if any plausible fix to a speedyable page would still be speedyable, it's reasonable to just delete under the main criterion. And "wrong namespace" redirects get G6'd, although that could really be documented better. (G6 in general is kind of a nightmare of a criterion.) -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 19:21, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Depictions of sexual activity[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to Sexual content. plicit 10:43, 19 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Retarget to Sexual content or delete. Redirect as is currently implies that all depictions of sexual acticvity are "extreme obcenity". Target article is also subject of an open AfD was closed as delete after this nom went up and this redirect was created by the author of that article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GhostOfDanGurney (talkcontribs) 07:56, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget per nom. Not a hugely plausible search term, but not outright implausible. If kept, this will almost certainly be deleted per G8 at the close of the AfD. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 08:02, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Sexual content per nom and Tazmin. Not all such depictions are extreme obscenity (nor are all extreme obscenities depictions of sexual activity), and people might be ASTONISHed to reach the current nonexistent target, so retargeting could help readers as well as saving it from G8. Regards, SONIC678 18:20, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - I have edited the nom to reflect that target has been closed as delete. GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 19:13, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. I have just marked the R as WP:G8, "redirects to targets... that were deleted". Nothing stops it being recreated if someone feels the urge. 85.67.32.244 (talk) 16:32, 13 October 2021 (UTC) WP:STRIKESOCK. -- Tavix (talk) 02:51, 16 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've just declined that G8 because it would prejudice the ongoing discussion here. It would be a different matter if there was no ongoing discussion or the discussion was clearly going to end in a consensus to delete, but that's not what we have here. Asian Sambo Championship[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was soft delete. Based on minimal participation, this uncontroversial nomination is treated as an expired PROD (a.k.a. "soft deletion"). Editors can request the article's undeletion. plicit 03:06, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Misleading, especially in a template like Template:Sambo. Should be deleted to invoke page creation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Deancarmeli (talkcontribs) 07:48, 12 October 2021 (UTC) [reply]

  • Delete per WP:REDLINK. It appears to me that this has been created deliberately to "blue" a link in Template:Sambo, a navbox created on 21 June that contains 24 links, all of them piped and only five of them blue.
If all the links are piped, they might as well pipe to the article instead of the redirect. (That's not WP:NOTBROKEN.) But, since the template is only transcluded by three articles World Sambo Championships, Sambo at the Summer Universiade and List of Sambo practitioners, it's probably not very useful anyway. It's not even transcluded on European Sambo Championships and Pan American Wrestling Championships, even though they're in the nabvbox!
A similar situation exists for Template:World Sambo Championships, although that is better populated with blue links that are articles. Since only articles about the World Sambo Championships will include the navbox, there's no point the navbox sending readers very circuitiously to World Sambo Championships. 85.67.32.244 (talk) 17:13, 13 October 2021 (UTC) WP:STRIKESOCK. -- Tavix (talk) 02:57, 16 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Misleading, especially in a template like Template:World Sambo Championships And pages such as World Sambo Championships § Senior Championships. Should be deleted to invoke page creation. Deancarmeli (talk) 07:47, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment I have combined these nominations for ease of discussion. -- Tavix (talk) 02:54, 16 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, inhibits article creation. The 2021 one used to be a stub though. Geschichte (talk) 09:14, 17 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete all per above. And just on a policy note: The stub was turned back into a redirect because its creator was evading a block. Any user in good standing can restore the stub (even with the RfD pending), but that would be with the understanding that they take responsibility for its contents. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 03:41, 18 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned in target article; only appearance on the phrase is the use of this as a generic term in a plot summary for an episode of an unrelated TV show. No content should = no redirect in this case. Hog Farm Talk 05:38, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nominator. One of over a hundred League of Legends redirects for topics that are not discussed anywhere in Wikipedia. 61.239.39.90 (talk) 13:59, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. The LoL article used to discuss this and may well discuss it again in the future, given sufficient sourcing. Harmless and more relevant than the cruftier redirects. SnowFire (talk) 19:42, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
more relevant than the cruftier redirects is an WP:OTHERSTUFF argument. I've nominated two other redirects to this article further above. ~~~~

  • Keep. It's the name of a map for a permanent game-mode in League. Since the map name for the other permanent game mode with a named map is given, I added it to the article with a source. ---- Patar knight - chat/contributions 17:04, 13 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Originally nominated for speedy deletion by @FlightTime with the reason "NOt needed. Should of been repressed at move. No incoming links. Asserted to be non-controversial maintenance" FASTILY 05:07, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Could have suppressed the redirect as it was a recent upload but I typically leave a redirect as is the default. Don't mind deletion of the redirect. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 06:45, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. No need for the redirect(s) or the file either, so I have PRODed the file. @Fastily: I chose PROD for this file due to no applicable CSD criterion as the file has been asserted to be too simple for copyright and it's been replaced/no longer being used due to not being the digital cover. As the digital cover (the one used on download and streaming services) is always the most widely distributed and available option for K-pop albums, the digital cover is usually the one used on K-pop articles.
